  1. wonderful post, very informative. I wonder why the other specialists of this sector do not notice this. You must continue your writing. I am confident, you have a huge readers’ base already!

  2. Yeah I will admit I am concerned her connections may get her in certain places.

More than that, however, I agree with someone below. Enough of these beauties who we defend with “you will see” and “there is still time for her to improve” and “A&Q/KF will train her more” and blah blah blah.

Beauty queens either have it or they don’t. We’ve seen that the last few years.

I see model and socialite with her, but for beauty queen I am not going to “wait and see”

I see more beauty queen material in the likes of Patalinjug, Lemonon, and Huezar and I don’t think any of those ladies can get MIP much less MUP.

There, I said it, MEOW 🙂

  3. I still get surprised that she is Desiree Verdadero’s daughter. She looks more like she could be Pebbles de Asis’ daughter based on her eyes and facial and bone structure.

    • Omg…..you are so right! I’m more familiar with Pebbles because I was old enough to remember her back in 1987??? There is no way she could be mistaken as her daughter hehehe…pebbles is way prettier than Aya.

  4. walang kyeme pero nagagandahan talaga ako sa kanya kahit some people say otherwise. pero eto na nga ang problema based sa comment ko in another feature of aya. She came late for training, kaya ngayon every appearance nya is a hit or miss kasi nage e experiment pa sila ng perfect look for her. ayan o, tingnan ang hairstyle nya sa first public appearance. parang minadali ng stylist kaya di naayos ang wave hahay had she arrived earlier like november last year, she could have already prepared various polished looks she could use everytime she goes out in public. Parang ‘look book’ kumbaga. With regards to her communication skills, kelangan pa nang in depth coaching with mr nad bronce kasi her delivery should be engaging and substantial. based sa napanood ko, parang nakikichika lang sa mga kolehiyalang amiga si beshie. She could have used the platform to prove people wrong that she means business and that she’s more than desiree verdaderos beautiful daughter. Itwas an opportunity lost to expound further the causes that she has engaged herself with. Im very critical of aya kasi she needs to cement her frontrunner status. while others are getting stronger, si aya is still walking on a seesaw but understandable kasi she’s still under initial stage of training. But i will not lose faith in her. I know she will deliver in the coming days. With her kind of beauty, I know she will make waves as miss international Phils in japan.

    • i wish she she could have expounded further how she is involved in those advocacies after laying down the lengthy background about pmap (whos perhaps surrounded by hi risk people), the children (which specific demographics? street? abused? orphans?) the steps she has taken, the struggles she encountered, the success she experienced in her journey towards her advocacy.. ang gandang story nun.

  5. I will be kind. I am sure the judges saw something in Aya that made her worthy entering top 40. And I anticipate how she will improve more and more as the days go by.

    Having said that :

We want a total package as much as possible. Not someone who is beautiful “in motion” and someone “who gets beautiful the longer you look at her”. As claimed by her spinners.

Please. Competitions are judged in nanoseconds. You don’t expect any judge to look at a candidate’s face for five hours and realise, wow she’s beautiful. Lol.

In the same manner that they are not judged only when they are “in motion”.

Compound that with the now apparent lack of communication skills.

So what is left ? The height and her connections.

    World Peace.

    • THOMAS, WALEY DIN SA HEIGHT. CHECK MO YUNG MGA PICTURES NIYA KATABI YUNG MGA 5’7” NA GIRLS. AT LEAST 1.5” SHORTER SIYA. SO MGA 5’5.5”-5’6” LANG HEIGHT NIYAN. OKAY HEIGHT PERO NOT THAT IMPRESSIVE PAG NATABI NA SA MGA REAL 5’8” AND ABOVE GIRLS. ASIDE SA CHAKA AT DI KA-AYA AYANG FACE(DAGDAG MO PA ANG KASUKANG PERSONALITY), ONE OF THE REASONS ANG HEIGHT NIYA KAYA HINDI SIYA NAKAPASA SA MGA MODELING AGENCY SA NEW YORK(AT NAGING VACATION AT PAULIT-ULIT NA “TRAVEL” ANG NAGANAP). ASPIRING MODELS SA ALL OVER THE WORLD COME TO NEW YORK TO APPLY SA MGA AGENCIES, SA KASO NI AYUCK, WALA NAGHIRE SAKANIYA, ANG SISTE DAHIL SPOILED BRAT ANG BILAT, NAGFEELING MODEL SIYA KUNO DON EH PURO BACKYARD PHOTOSHOOTS LANG ANG NAGANAP. WALA WORK. SO NGAYON, ANG ENDING EH BBP. YAN ANG PUNTO KO, UMUWI DITO, MULA SA PAG OOVERSTAY SA ABROAD, PARA MAGPAKAFAME-WHORE AT GAMITIN ANG SUPPORT NG MGA PINOY PARA SA MGA HIDDEN AGENDA NIYA. KASUKA LANG TO THINK NA 27 NA YAN HA, AT PABEBE PARIN. SA 27, SENIOR NA YAN SA MODELING AT PAGEANT, AT ANG LIFE EXPERIENCE AT NARATING SA BUHAY EH PURO “TRAVEL AT PAGPAPAKASPOILED BRAT THANKS TO MOM AND DAD”. HIYANG HIYA NAMAN ANG MAY MGA TUNAY NA ADVOCACY AT MISSION.

EWAN KO BA AT ANO KLASENG UTAK MERON YANG MGA ANAK NG LAOS NA PERSONALITIES NA SPOILED MASYADO. HILIG PASUKIN ANG INDUSTRY SA MGA MAGAGANDA, DI NAMAN MAGANDA. ANO BA GUSTO PATUNAYAN? NA KAYANG BILIN NG PERA ANG FAME AT ADMIRATION?

  6. I am still expecting more from this lady. Maybe she could still level it up. I was thinking na she will be Cat’s main competition for MUP, but she’s being overshadowed now by other girls like Karen, Wynonah, Eva and even Sandra and Anjame. Cat is still miles ahead of everyone.

  7. parang pinapattern kay kylie styling nya…lalo na yung ganyang ayos ng buhok…very kylie…tingnan natin kung uubra ulit

  8. She’s more beautiful in motion. But I think she needs to improve her communication skills. Halatang nacoconscious sya sa interview na parang nauubusan sya ng mga sasabihin kaya may mga pag-uulit sa pagsasalita nya. She needs to practice more on interviews.

  9. Hala ka oii:-)
    Inday kaau sya ay 🙂
Mura man sya ug kusog manigarilyo ug palahubog sa picture 🙂
mao ra jud na akong maingon hihihi :-0

  10. Yung mga #CatgGArnern dyan are giving this post a one star….hhihihihi… Ano ba ang basis ng star per blog post? Wag na kasi ma-threaten ang mga #CatGanern eh…

    • Orrr people just don’t really like her. If it were the case however, that would mean that almost everyone in here are #CatGanerns lol. And yes people are threatened, threatened of her nose that is, galit na galit ohh lol.

  11. Her web interview is same as Bunga’s, boring and lacks cohesiveness. Her communication skills are not at par with Maxine’s. Her face is polarizing. I actually don’t know if she’s beautiful or not and that’s alarming. Maybe BbP is not for her. She maybe the daughter of Desiree Verdadero but beauty pageant is not for her. Please, explore into other options iha.

  12. I thought she’ll be a threat to Cat, but seeing photos and videos? Hmm, fell short on just about everything. I’ll give her the Supra crown tho.
Last year there were a handful of communicators, not this year. I can only name 3 after watching the videos…

  13. She needs more tanning effect, so she’d look even more exotic. Patok ‘to sa Miss Supranational.

  14. The longer you look at her, the prettier she becomes specially in that video. She gives off the Janine Tugonon vibe. Pag na transform to, she will give a good fight at Miss Universe. I hope she won’t give in to those conventional gown designs like the body hugging ones because contrary to what the typical pinoys are saying, I love those gowns worn by Janine, Ara and Venus; classy and elegant.

    • “The longer you look at her”…

  15. She is pretty, with potential but her communication skills is lacking. She is not engaging and to the point boring. She needs to be more eloquent and interesting and gain more life experience outside of modelling and “travel”.

For example, how did her recent trip to New York mould her to become who she is today? Her explanation can be used for any city in the world and if she is as well travelled as she portrays herself, what made New York so special?

      • So is London, Toronto, LA, Sydney or Hong Kong. She could have at least mentioned that point. She just seemed repetitive with her answers and couldn’t expand more.

I don’t dislike her. I think she will be strong force is she further improves her comm skills.

      • I agree but travel experience is something very personal wherein each individual has his unique sentiments that could affect the impact of a certain place to his being. Maybe there was something in NYC that shaped her personally in any way or the other. I have travelled to not so many cities but Berlin though not the most beautiful one but I must say, it has shaped me somehow.

      • *but Berlin, though not the most beautiful, I must say has shaped me somehow.
Sorry about the grammar glitch hihihi

      • My point exactly. It can be something very personal but her explanation was very generic. I would have loved to listen what about New York she found so special? There must be something about it for her to specifically choose it. She just needs to learn how to explain that better, in a more personal way.

      • I got your point. But I think and just by looking at her, she has Janine Tugonon’s wit. She just needs to relax so that she can freely organize her thoughts. Very easy to fix though.

  16. Strong potential, pero hilaw pa ang comm skills. Need some deeper life experience outside of modeling or modeling-adjacent advocacy.
