Angeline Flor Pua, a 22 year-old from Antwerp, is the winner of the 50th edition of Miss Belgium. She will now represent the country of fabled waffles and chocolates in Miss Universe 2018.

Angel, who is a pilot-in-training, reigned as Miss Filipina Europe 2016 before finally taking part in Miss Belgium.

  1. I hope she’ll train in Philippines for her parasella coz the way she speaks just needs a little touch but this girl is one to watch in MU2018. Just more training to get to the top16 coz if she speaks like that in close door interview pasok sa banga itong si Pua!

  2. It is noteworthy that Belgium, the capital of European Union, chose an immigrant as it’s queen for 2018. The country has been reeling from a series of terrorist attacks traceable partly from its inability to fully integrate its marginalised ethnic communities into the social, economic and political mainstream. The choice of a Filipina immigrant as its representative to the MU pageant sends a very strong message that it is a society very much open to diversity and inclusiveness. And what a beautiful choice– a power woman in a male-dominated world of aeronautics. Congrats, Angeline.

  3. Miss Belgium tas Filipina ang nanalo? Approved na pala ang Federalism sa Pinas at isa sa Federal region ay…. Belgium?!

    • CHruueeee! But to be honest she’s not facially attractive but what made her win is her wit. Yan ang maganda pag walang Filipino jurors the real beauty of a malay-filipina is very appreciated plus given na ang pag Pinay palaban at lalamon talaga ng mic. Pag sa BBP ito wala papansin kasi ang pag Pinoy judges may colonialism mentality na favor sa half-breed or tisay.

      Don’t get me wrong but I am rooting for Cat to win the Miss U Ph crown not because she is half but because of her resume and fighting spirit. Whatever happens to her journey she’s already a winner at wala na siyang regrets na bakit di siya ng try.

  5. Very impressive and she exudes that natural Pilipina beauty without the over the top fake make up, eye lashes, and annoying colored eye contacts…..if you guys know what I’m talking about!!! She’s simple and yet alluring.

  7. Her status as a pilot-in-training makes an interesting backstory for Miss Universe. I’m just starting to wonder if Angeline and Nelda Ibe competed against each other in Binibining Pilipinas, which pilot would you choose to win a crown?

Nakikita ko na ala madam auring that in the near future all countries in the miss universe will be solely represented by Filipinas. hahaha Bongga! Kaya ipagpatuloy lang mga kampon ang pagpakalat ng mga natatanging binhi ng kagandahan at karilagan sa buong mundo para sa kaluwahatian ng inang bayan!! pakk!

  17. D KO bet ung ethnic filipinas joining other country’s pageants.. I wud be more forgiving if such country is really a melting pot and truly embraces diversity and openness.. Like maybe riza santos representing Canada.. But for now, it’s a big no..kaya minsan d-i mu rin masisi mga racist..

  19. I still remember the beauty of Miss Belgium in 1994 MU. Sobrang ganda nya, hinde nga lang pinalad makapasok sa top 10.

  20. Kung dito gaganapin sa Pilipinas ang patimpalak ng Miss Universe 2018 malamang siya ang magwawagi ng korona. Walang tiwala ang Missology sa kanyang kagandahan pero nanaig ang tunay na ganda niya kahit hindi siya gaano katangkaran.
