  1. A very reliable source, a friend of mine says the whole thing was a set up. PDEA is trying to impress the administration because there is a pending plan to dissolve the agency and turn over the drug fight to the PNP. The sad part is that for sure not all those who were there are drug users/dealers.

    • @Janine

Oo, lahat sila ay nagkamali but we have to be fair…

Parehong bad. Kaya hindi dapat nagmamagaling si pia bubs. Napaghahalatang pumapapel sa ABS CBN eh.

  3. HIV prevention is both ways . If u do not want to get hiv , then practice safe with the assumption that every one u r having sex with is hiv positive .

Why divulge the identity of the HIV person to the world? They should be worried about the person’s safety in prison of wherever he’s gonna be . HIV is a disease not a reason to kill or hurt somebody .

We have all the freedom to chose.

Puro hypokrito!

  6. Lessen the stigma? PDEA is known in the Philippines, Pia is widely known in the whole world. Now, pano nya na lessen ang stigma against LGBT and HIV?

    • BayanKo, Pia’s point is that PDEA should do what they are supposed to do but there are laws that protect people’s privacy esp when it comes to one’s health. The fact that they revealed that his a poz just reignites that social stigma that people think gay people are dirty and sick. It could also make those already contracted even more fearful to come clean and accept their situation and be more responsible.

      • Sablay ang argumento mo day.

He deserved it.

Rachel has the looks but she failed to deliver maybe because of the pressure but still at least humble siya unlike Mariel na ang yabang pa din. Chaka ng year 2017 for pageants yung mga minor pa ang nanalo. Nanalo na kasi tayo in the past few years so maybe we’re suffering the effect of it.

    CAMP OF THE YEAR SCORES:

    Aces and Queens:
    Ms. World – Top 40
    Ms. International – Waley
    Reina Hispanoamericana – Winner
    Ms. Supranational – TBD
    Ms. Intercontinental – TBD

    KF:
    MU – Top 10
    ME – Winner
    MGI – 2nd runner uP
    MG – 1st Runner uP

Obvious na nag lie low ang A&Q. Busy siguro si Jonas dahil dami nyang projects this year. May book signing, new A&Q head quarters, may manhunt pa siya, nag train ng ibang candidates sa ibang bansa and so on.

I’m pretty sure with your pageant knowledge and experience baka makabog mo pa yang dalawang yan! Haha!

  8. Here are the things that I find really wrong with what they did:

    1. They still did drugs even if there is a war against it. Possibly exchanging needles while on the process of getting high.

    2. They did an orgy. Engaging in this type of sexual activity increases your risk of getting HIV.

    3. One of them is HIV positive and still participated in those acts. He has the right to privacy not to divulge this information, but he has a moral obligation not to participate in such activities and subsequently infect other people.

Here is what I think the media did wrong:

    1. Exposing the identity of the person who has HIV. It is against the law to do such thing as the person has the right to keep this sensitive information private.

    2. Making it look like that gay people are not to be trusted because of their tendency to be promiscuous and joining in wild acts.

In my opinion, those arrested are just creating a problem of their own. I just can’t find any reason to pity these people. They’re old enough to know what’s right from wrong, and what’s wise and stupid. They brought this to themselves and they must suffer the consequences, including public humiliation. These type of people are the ones who tarnish the struggling reputation of LGBT individuals in our country. Well done! That’s what you get when you trade your life for a moment of pleasure.

For the media, there’s a right time when to expose a truth and which truth is considered sensitive in nature. I guess, you’re too insensitive about this. Oh well…

    • Engaging in an orgy to me is matter of personal taste. It is neither right nor wrong. But to engage in it knowing that you might spread something and without the consent or knowledge of the others participating is WRONG. But to those who engage in it unprotected is their personal choice and they shall face the consequences.

      • I get your point that it’s a matter of choice. However, given the high incidence of HIV in our country makes this act very risky, and that makes it very wrong. Statistics-wise, majority of the individuals infected belong to men having sex with men and intravenous drug users. Good choice indeed.

      • @Marlo Hannigan

Those statistics are based on the fact that there are more gay men now who are more informed and got themselves tested. Many possibly infected straight men and women still refuse to get tested due to the stigma that comes with it. Many straight people die in the hospitals due to a different disease, not knowing that the real culprit is their lack of immunity to diseases because of HIV/AIDS…

Years ago, I knew a few close coleagues who died in less than 2 days due to a random sore troath and headache. They were so healthy, fit and active few days prior. I know for a fact that they hooked-up unprotected and I believe I’m also the only one who ever knew that they did… several times. They were never tested for HIV/AIDS when they were hospitalized hence we would never know the root cause of their deaths.

Again, you don’t exactly die of HIV/AIDS.. You die of a different disease that infected you easily due to being immuno-compromised. I researched all these, ever since Pia started talking about it on TV. It’s so sad that many people are dying due to fear and stigma when we could all just get tested and get it over with.

  9. Filipino youth needs to taught about personal responsibilty. It doesn’t matter whether you’re gay or straight but STDs and HIV are something that need to addressed especially in a very small country with 100 million people living in it. Use protection mga veks. And please don’t do drugs.

  10. para sa isang bansa na Kristiyano
    napakataas ng incidence ng HIV
    ng korupsyon
    etc

    mga mapanghusga sa kapwa etc

    • Remember the history of abuse and corruption of the church during Spanish times? hihihi… We pretty much inherited religion and all the good and bad things that came with it.

    • Orgy happens whether your gay or straight veks… I don’t agree with drug use and if you want to have sex with multiple people, you better make sure you are responsible.

  11. I feel for these guys. I’m sure laking sisi nila ngayon. I hope this episode can somehow change their lives for the better somehow.

Whenever similar temptations come my way i repeat to myself the most impactful statement i remember from Truman Capote’s breakfast at tiffany’s: Don’t look for wild things. You will just end up looking at the sky.

  12. I totaly agree with Pia…
    She nailed this hands down!
    Thank you so much! 🙂

    @Ivan

Gustuhin man ni Pia iinform na ang isa sa mode of transmission ng HIV ay ang sharing ng syringe.(Nakita ko sa video na madaming syringe so wala silang plano mag share lalo na at may doctor silang kasama).. Wrong timing na takutin ang madla on her post kasi ang goal nga is to lessen the stigma…

    • But before you educate… You have to remove or at least lessen the stigma 1st so that everyone would create tolerance to understand others to help others and that is what Pia wisely did… confidently beautiful with a heart. 🙂

    • @closer2fame I would like to nullify your statement. I don’t know where did you got the info that the government said na immoral ang pagiging bakla. They better face the saga.

      • That is what the media outlets did… They implied it by sharing to the public that one of them is HIV+.

    • Oh tell that to the marine Kung high kana sa drug alam mo pa bang Malinis Yung needles?

    • @Ivan

Yes, they are lawbreakers and I’m not trying to justify what they did… Yes, I do highly approve with the war against drugs.. but we also have an HIV epidemic… How are we suppose to unite against these cancers of society when there are people who are using this issue to spread hate?! The main goal is to lessen the stigma against gay people and HIV/AIDS… That is what the media outlets missed-out.. The end products is iresponsible journalism which is a big step backwards when it comes to HIV awareness.

I am against lawbreakers but we also have to be cautious when it comes to public shaming with regards to this sensitive topic for the benefit of the greater good. I believe that we need to be aggressive when it comes to the war against drugs but we also need a different line off attack when it comes to HIV awareness which is by creating public understanding.

      • Lessen the stigma? PDEA is known in the Philippines, Pia is widely known in the whole world. Now, pano nya na lessen ang stigma against LGBT and HIV?

      • @Bayan Ko

Well she is lessening the stigma by showing acceptance towards the LGBT community…stating that being gay is not synonymous to being immoral, HIV should not be treated as a punishment, and so on…

Yes kilala sya sa buong mundo pero incase you are not aware, isa lang ang Pilipinas sa kakaunting bansa na may epidemya ngunit karamihan ay sarado ang isip ng madla tungkol sa kabaklaan at lalo na sa HIV… Gay people in the Philippines may be tolerated at a certain level but rarely accepted. What more for those people with HIV/AIDS?!… Ang daming ayaw magpatest sa ating bansa due to the fear of being judged and discriminated which aggrevates the situation further. Not getting tested makes an infected individual more dangerous than those who are aware.. We need to encourage people to get tested instead of creating fear of having sex.

      • C2f, u can die from those infections within hours or days even without HIV or AIDS .

      • @Fabian Reyes

I agree with you… but most people don’t know that and just associate HIV/AIDS with being gay. There are a lot of gay people who die of other diseases but people automaticaly asume that they have HIV/AIDS. What we all need is get tested but most people are afraid to do so because of the stigma that comes with it.

    • Ang wild ng imagination mo bakla.

      HIV patients should be responsible.

All genders must stay away from illegal drugs.

Simple lang di ba? Bakit kailangan ng mga stigma achuchu???

  13. Nakakaaliw Lang basahin and familiar Yung wording Kaya for mind entertainment Lang:

  14. http://nickverrreos.blogspot.com/2017/11/sashes-and-tiarasmiss-universe-2017_28.html

    7. Miss Universe Philippines Rachel Peters: Rachel changed her gown–from a golden one at the Preliminaries, to this silver-steel blue Val Taguba gown. Both gowns had super sexy elements which worked with Rachel’s amazing body. This one featured side cut-outs, a plunging neckline (with an illusion center front panel), side front slit opening and feathered hem. The design was very Las Vegas Showgirl Pageant Queen but lacked Haute Couture refinement of say, the gown worn by Miss World Philippines at the recent Miss World finals. Rachel still looked super sexy and impacting, however, I just wished it could have been something more in the line of what outgoing Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere wore to give up her crown, but not in red obviously!

    Score: 8.95

  15. May I just refute Pia’s Post. Darling the problem here is not being gay. Hay nakuh PIA you need to know the mode of transmission bago ka tatalak talak dyan as if marami kang alam.

  17. Spinning, spinning, and spinning. Keep it spinning, Pia. Sana mas maraming ganitong posts noon from you. Hindi when there is a damage control to be done. I know the strategy, ganyan Gawain sa PR firm namen.

  18. Isa sa nakuha sa kanila is ecstAsy!

Common among gay men yan Lalo na sa mga bruskong bakla! May mga ad silang PnP which is “party and play”.

My opinion is neutral regarding mugshot.

But for the drug bust operation and extra judicial killing I agree with it since it is not random but rather systematic because under DDB regulation number 2003-oo2 Doon nila na-i-identify Yung mga targetted drug users which is recorded sa IDTOMIS ng gobierno through fingerprint.

Immediate solution Yung tumbahin mo na since positively identified na or

Long term solution is rehabilitation using tax payers money which is the money of the working class.

  19. Im sorry mga veks but I feel like people need to take this with a grain of salt.

NOT ALL GAYA VS commit sexual harassment. Period.

  20. Well, those 11 guys are old enough to know what they are doing. And whatever crime they have committed they should be held accountable, especially if millions worth of drugs were found in the room.
It’s their life. In reality though, having more than one sex partner increases your chances of contracting sexually transmitted diseases and doesn’t help lower down the percentage of HIV cases in our country. And those individuals infected with HIV are getting younger and younger, very alarming.

How sure are you na gusto nyang manghawa? Keep your stupid opinion to yourself! Hindi ka nakakatulong!

  22. Yeah, because of what they did, I was able to google them. Some of them are on LinkedIn.

  23. Tito Norman, please allow my repost. TY 🙂

November 25th of each year is kick-off day of the 18 Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) in the Philippines. This is a nationwide campaign by the government that ends on December 12th. This campaign perfectly coincides with the international pageant season every November and since advocacy and social relevance are the in-thing in almost all pageants, why not build on in this campaign para next time mas may sense na ang backstories ng ating mga kandidata? You may coordinate with the government agency that spearheads this campaign. Yan ay suggestion lang po. Thank you. 🙂

    • As regards to the topic of this post, I agree with Pia. However, it should have been more chewable to me if Pia also undescored in her lecture the very high risk of HIV contamination/transmission under this situation (sexual orgy) moreso if the rest are not aware that one of them is indeed positive. She could have advocated safe sex as segue of her post. My two cents.

  24. Always fearless, and still consistent with her advocacy even after having passed on her crown. You really are the best Miss Universe ever, Queen P!

  25. Double Whammy I would say. They committed a crime period. Don’t get me wrong here. My heart goes to the families of these people. Juicecolored sinayang nyo yung bahay nyo.

Also, some doctors and med students on twitter (note:this might not be reliable kasi di ko naman validated) are claiming na certain chemicals can make you have an HIV+ result pero in reality wala naman talaga. Let’s not acuse him of “deliberately wanting to spread the disease” kung may possibility naman na hinid nya alam

      • FYI may nakitang gamot sa kanya and he deliberately said it was for hiv drug and it was for him.

      • Oh, that i don’t know. Apologies for that. I should read on this matter more from verified sources

I guess my point though is: everyone is innocent unless proven guilty so we should give them benefit of the doubt lalo na if we’re not privy (like me) to all vital information

  26. I’m sorry to say but the majority of Filipinos need to be educated on that particular matter and sadly many are judgmental. It’s illegal to revealed someone’s medical status and it just showed lack of judgment and common sense #noteanoshade….💁🏻‍♂️

  27. Pia did a splendid job winning the evasive MIss U crown.
I believe she will make a difference in the lives of gay people in the Philippines .
It’s time that we get rid of the antiquated ideas about gays and AIDS.
