But since the finals is just over a day away (our time), may I now present to you my four Queens for each of the three continental grouping plus four wild cards regardless of where they are from. The 4th candidate in the first three quadrants are the ones I assume would get the global fan votes, while the last delegate in the last quadrant is my Wild Card for Candidates’ Choice (the trickiest of all to predict):
For Asia-Oceania and Africa:
This is the cut hardest to trim down any further because the level of competition has just gotten sharply fiercer. But where is the fun and risk in predicting when there is no challenge to push harder. Hence, I would slice the ten in the middle, leave out Indonesia, Russia, Spain, Mexico and Jamaica. That leaves me with a Top 5:
Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa, Maria Poonlertlarp of Thailand, Rachel Peters of the Philippines, Keysi Sayago of Venezuela and Prissila Howard of Peru.
If I were an ultra rich philantrophist committed for cash sponsorship in the 2018 edition of Miss Universe, I will need a potential winner from whom I will benefit from in terms of her business likeability, powerful reach and an overall appeal that will spell a good return in investment – someone much like Pia Wurtzbach. And so, I would rank my Top 5 with Peru and Venezuela occupying 4th and 5th spots. South Africa, Thailand and the Philippines are wise picks to get podium finishes – much like Gold, Silver and Bronze in whatever order.
With the possibility of Miss Universe 2018 being hosted once more in the country, I will not settle for anything lower than a 2nd Runner-Up placement for Rachel Peters. That is, if IMG will not give the Philippines a sandwich victory that has already happened at least a few times before in MU history. But with the new owners, there is the likelihood of switching their gaze to another part of Southeast Asia that will favor Maria Poonlertlarp – the lady many Thais are envisioning as their version of Pia Wurtzbach. If that is the case, then a 3rd Miss Universe crown could be in the offing for the Land of Smiles.
Two Southeast Asians against one South African. And Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is not your cookie-cutter type of competitor and likely winner. I’d like to believe that – if the stars align in favor of this beauty from Sedgefield – then she could be a worthy second winner from her country after Margaret Gardiner who was crowned almost four decades ago.
Anyone among Demi-Leigh, Maria and Rachel could be crowned Miss Universe 2017. My patriotic sentiments will always go for a win by the Philippines. But just as I have stated earlier, I will not settle for anything less than a 2nd Runner-Up honor if the title won’t be given to her. Next month’s promotional Christmas Tour of the 2017 and 2016 winners right here in Manila (from December 5-10) will be more crowd-drawing and successful with Miss Philippines in the mix and with a well-deserved achievement to show off to the Filipinos. And that, my dear readers, is how the 66th Edition wraps up from where I blog. Predictions-wise, that is.

Last year my predicted pottential winner is france during early stage of competition…
This time CANADA is a dark horse.
Thailand and south Africa will not win.
Philippines would most likely get a runner up finish.
But my support will alalways be for her…
I wish my prediction for Rachel would become bigger today.
Wish her all the best!
South africa is almost same as France image from last year if she wins…the org will not like that.
Thailand do not have superb performance… but her face is very likeable same as maxine from last year.
Rachel is not a very liķeable face there is a dull moment that would be her disadvantage.. dapat ata naka enervon parati something na nakuha nya sana sa past 2 winners.
Ano nga ulit?
If you don’t mind, my top 6 in each group continental:
Philippines
South Africa
Thailand
Indonesia
Angola
Sri Lanka
Iceland
Great Britain

Total of 18 all in all. The fan vote is certainly included up here already. Eliminate 2 and you will have your top 16.
(I don’t know… but I feel that Puerto Rico will be given a wild card because of Hurricane Maria)
I think if MUO crowns Miss Thailand, it will be a huge slap to Pia. Maria is the Pia version of Thailand. I think it is unfair because we have seen how Pia worked and trained hard to achieve the coveted crown unlike the wannabe. If my guess is right, Pia trained for 8 months. We have witnessed her transformation. I can’t see the hype at all to this clone. Her preliminary is such a cringe- worthy performance. Although, she might get there with the fan vote as we all know that Thais just like as are rabid fans.

Tito norman, the Thai woman’s face reminds me of Joyce Ann Fellosa Burton, our representative in 1985 Miss Universe. if you know what i mean?
Yes zora. Maria strikes me as an old soul (but in a good way).
Russia, Philippines, and USA would be an interesting top 3. But as I see it both South Africa and Thailand are getting the best chunk from MUO in terms of exposure like Yamamay, interview, Chi, and official photo shoots. If Rachel performs flawlessly during the night that matters I won’t be surprised to see her run away with the Mikimoto crown. Best of luck Rachel!
Sri Lanka – Miss universe 2017 ,. Venzuela – 1 St runner up and philphines – 2 nd runner up
If there is one single advice Rachel needs to hear from her supporters Tonight , it is smile more !!!! Let her body and pasarela do the ‘smize’ for her!!!!
Good point Fabian! I hope someone tells her 🙂
GOSH! PHILIPPINES
One very impt question . Someone earlier said Rachel was not invited to Yamamay . If this is true , how does it relate to her chances of making it tomorrow ? It would be good to hear from the experts
During bbp i said natatangkaran lang ako sa kanya and she won dahil favorite sya ni madamme. But she proved me wrong sa natatangkaran lang ako sa kanya after ng prelim. She deserved din naman pala ang title pero still paborito pa rin ang nagpanalo sa kanya. cherett lang 😁. After the prelim mukhang may chance makapasok. but proceeding to the next spot until wins is depend on her as long as she maintains her freshness and effortlessly fiercely beautiful face and styling with a captivative smile and a vavoom performance and excellent Q&A She is really a complete packaged. She almost there na so maintain dapat bukas or more than that. as they said may pasabog sya so expectation for that is very very high. So, May GOD Bless Rachel Peters for tomorrow’s coronation night. May she bring home the crown 👑.
Demi will be Melinda Bam 2.0…a top ten finish only…or worst, will not make the cut
If there is only one Philippine MU candidate who deserves to win, It’s Rachel. She beams with confidence but appears to be calm and queen-ish. Not the typical beauty queen who sometimes go overboard just to be noticed. I love her eversince and that I was able to predict when she won MUP. I hope this time, my prediction’s gonna come true again. She is my Miss Universe 2017.
Pia deserved to win the crown , all the 4 judges said so.
Fabie my Fabie, what did I say for you to say that.
FYI, I became a fan of Pia after the prelims with that make-up and that red gown as opposed to her blue gown and cakey make-up during the finals but after the Q&A, I knew she sealed the crown. I’m saying this to stop all the doubts you have in me regarding Pia.
Go Rachel !!!! We are excited for you as our Philippine representative because we know you can deliver, hence the support of everyone in social media, including celebrities, the common people and of course, the rabid Pinoy pageant fans. Thank you for giving us fans something to believe in, after the disappointment in MI & MW. Just have fun and do your best. If ever one of the front runners win, make them work hard for it and go through the eye of the needle before they get their hands on the crown. But I know you’ll be great Miss Universe because you’ll be great spokesperson for the org. Make us proud, girl.
Sino na ng train under Aces? Indonesia or Thailand? Or both?

Beauty of the Face-Mariel de Leon
Intelligence-Karen Ibasco
Star, not to pour alcohol into MAriel’s bleeding wounds. I have always been conflicted with her facial beauty .
Is she really beautiful or not ? Her dad is uber hot and her mom has gotten more beautiful with age . I don’t know about Her.
Timeless beauty. Elegante!

@Star, Mariel on facial beauty? Are u kidding?
Sorry to say that she has this disproportionate facial structure.
I don’t know your standard of beauty but IMO, Mariel is not beautiful in any standard.
Up to this day, I still wonder why she was even crowned BbP International because there were far more deserving girls in her batch.
Jeremi, it’s the celebrity factor and the previous BP participation plus her good comm skills that won her the BP International title .
Judges ‘ decision .. so it was fair … in a way
An open letter to Rachel Peters:
Dear Rachel,
Many people wonder why Filipinos are so obsessed about beauty pageants. I think the answer is simple: it is one of the rare moments the country is on a global stage. We do not usually win Olympic medals like China, or have a Forbes 500 company headquartered in the Philippines like Samsung in Korea, or have any celebrity that most people in the world know about like South Africa’s Nelson Mandela (except Manny Pacquiao!). When people ask me what ethnicity I am, I say Filipino. Unfortunately, not many people know much about the country, and the things they do know are not always the most pleasant. On top of that, living in the Philippines is a struggle for most. Things do not come easy, and you really have to work hard to attain any sort of success. And that is why they beam with pride when any Filipino succeed…because they know how hard it is. It gives them hope that maybe, just maybe, they too can succeed.
Rachel, if you win, you will inspire thousands of young Filipinos to keep dreaming even if their circumstances aren’t ideal, but if you don’t, please know that you have already made the whole country very proud by representing us the best way you can – by being yourself. Thank you.
Bee
Very well said , bee. I think the interest in pageants has always been there … even during those dark times when yr after yr our candidates hardly made center stage.
For me , it lies mostly in our poor self-esteem as a nation . Winning or placing high in pageants gives us a vAlidation that we too are beautiful and important no matter the height the color of our skin or what have you .
In fact , it’s not just beauty pageants . It is everywhere … anywhere we are centerstage ….like when Lea became Miss Saigon or when Charice got invited to Oprah . We feel like we were part of their experience .
Bee and Fabian,
I agree with both of you. Well said.
The best comment I’ve ever read in this blog.
I don’t know how wide is your knowledge about Filipino in terms working professionals in the global market, I just would to inform you that Filipinos are well known everywhere. Well known doctors, lawyers, engineers, nurses, it tech etc etc.. not to mention the other fields in medical. These professionals are holding high positions in their respective fields. So I bet to disagree in your notion about Filipinos. Lastly, pageants in other countries are not popular, I firmly believe that . But then again I am always praying that our representative will win the coveted crown.
Ivan, I agree to some extent but let’s admit that Filipinos are being paid less than their counterparts in every profession. Like for example, a British doctor is paid 7x more than a Filipino doctor; the same goes for engineers, nurses, office managers, HR specialist, IT people etc. etc. so in reality Filipinos are really discriminated against. This is beside the point though. I think Bee’s point is about the general image of the Philippines to the world which is partly a fault of the media be it in broadcasting, prints and movies. We often send movies to international festivals with themes such as poverty, prostitution, slum area, theft and all those kinds. A french friend of mine whom I met in one of my trips was very surprised when I brought him in Manila stating that she never thought that metro manila is as modern as it is. She thought about slums which he sees on tv and on movies.
Sadly, the Philippines is much like Africa which is known only for poverty but when you actually visit or live in african countries, they are much like any other countries with luxury as well as poverty.
@jeremi I don’t think so Jeremy, I don’t know what country are you talking about . I’m speaking where I am now USA no racial discrimination in terms of salary. My brother is a doctor in UK his the chief of surgery and his salary is according to his position. My cousin in Australia a lawyer same salary bracket. Oops maybe ur talking about Saudi Arabia of which there is a real gap because of the western employment opportunity. That is sad of which Filipinos teaching the other coworkers from other country but they receive less.saddddddd but true. But then again salary is not the point there my premise is we are well known in the whole world in terms of high caliber professionals.
Ivan, there are about 40 million Filipinos in the labor force (or those that can work) out of a total population of 105 million. Out of those in the labor force about only 20 million or so are employed with salaries (many of whom are contractual). Most of the the rest of the 105 million people depend on these, and on those who are abroad. There are 10 million Filipinos abroad, 4 million of whom are in the US and more than 2 million in the Middle East, Yes those in the US and Europe receive good pay and are generally treated well compared to those in the Middle East.
In short, majority of Filipinos struggle, and life here in the Philippines is indeed hard, especially with escalating prices. Those who are abroad may be better off, and may not appreciate how hard it is tor local Pinoys to enjoy simple comforts or luxuries, let alone eat properly. That said, the point of the posters here is that the popularity of pageants is related somehow to the socio-economic conditions we are in, and the dearth of reasons to celebrate, whether as a nation, or individually. The experience of winning is vicarious, and makes us feel good about ourselves. It is sociological. If we were a lot better off, perhaps more people would be busy building careers, living good lives and pursuing happiness, and would be less drawn to momentary sources of high. The true blue pageant fans would be the only ones rabidly following MU and the other pageants, for the sheer delight of it.
And, as the others here said, we are still hungry for victory, in whatever form. Because we are still hungry for affirmation. We are still, by my last reckoning one of the poor countries of the world (still developing to be more politically correct), and also still lagging in South East Asia despite being one of the fastest growing economies in recent years.
Yes, Filipinos abroad, especially in the US are generally NOT discriminated against, and even enjoy a good reputation of sorts. Why not, when many of our best people leave and settle in North America. It is a different story here though.
Peace!
Ivan not only in Saudi Arabia or in the Middle East for that matter but all over the world. Those doctors that you say are those that obtained their degrees in the US because I know a couple of doctors who were educated in the best medical schools in Manila and who have years of practice that are forced to work as Nurses in Canada and in the US. The same in Europe or in Germany where I spent a chunk of my life. Doctors who graduated in the Philippines even work as Caregivers in London and Manchester and everywhere in the UK. So generally, Filipinos are really discriminated against not only in the professional world but in all aspects of life. It is hard to admit but it’s true. It is just that we sometimes close our eyes to this sad reality.
@Jeremi: If they work as caregivers , then they get paid as caregivers even if they have a medical degree. What’s not fair about it ?
Why they are not using their degrees , I don’t know . Could it be because they failed to meet the requirements ? In the US , it will be very hard to descriminate against anyone even if u want to . The consequences are such that u will never ever do it again.
Partly true.
may the best confidently beautiful woman win on Finals night
love,
Paula

Ang hirap magpredict! Pero solid ako sa top 3 ko. I like PHILIPPINES because she’s so MU – BUT – after watching the prelims, I got kinda worried. Yes, she had a strong pasarela compared to the others but the face had dead moments.
USA – not very pretty. Pero dahil may interviews in between segments, pwedeng maitawid nya hanggang top 6.
SPAIN – di ko sya napansin until I watched the prelims. Kudos to Spain for sending worthy candidates – Patricia, Ms. Cordero and even last year’s rep. I have not seen this lady talk though – just fell in love with her in the prelims.
I hope na sana next year, may pa sneak peek sa mga interviews. Kahit highlights lang ng each candidate – 30 sec video ba…
Bukas naaaaa ang MU!!! Excited na akoooo!!!
With Miss Iraq joining again this year after 1972 despite threats, I hope next year, we see Miss Jordan join again after 1960… ( Miss Tunisia and Miss Morocco who were pretty regular in the 1960s and 1970s will soon hopefully join again too)
where is Miss Angola in the Miss Universe website ? somethin’ happened to her ?
Oo nga. Glitch?
hopefully yes just a glitch … hopefully everybody is healthy
With the way IMG is going, this is a possibility.
MU – South Africa (Diversity, crown should go to another continent)
1st runner-up – Thailand (Could have been the winner, but doesn’t have the yamamay ready body)
2nd runner up – Rachel (Has the yamamay body, but Philippines just won 2 years ago)
South Africa should she reach the interview round will run away with the title.
This is MU happening on American soil
Fluency is not enough
It’s how you answer the question that matters …be it in English or otherwise .
That means it’s fate …. just like what happened to Pia against Olivia .. and Paulina against Nina.
But I agree SA is very articulate . Chances are she will do well at Q&A . But I hope Rachel do way better .
It’s not just fluency that I considered. Miss Universe is all about the face. To me, South Africa is the prettiest of them all.
I agree , SA stands out in terms of beauty and personality not to mention her gift of words .In a situation where all the answers are vanilla , SA May emerge as the winner because of that.
But if the Philippines or anyone pulls off a much stronger answer , she may win. Remember Botswana vs Miriam in 1999 and India vs Colombia in 1994
Just to let you know , I think it’s still SA’s crown to lose . I really adore her beauty . She and Peru have a very cute sweet classy and feminine beauty … not like the Glamazons.
But then again , it’s MU. It’s still anybody’s game. For all we know , the org is looking at a totally different candidate.
basing on the Preliminaries..SA is not strong…she didn’t stand out….di ko nga sya napansin
Sorry babe, But it is Russia who is the real Goddess in the competition. SA can’t come close. SA didn’t shine in the preliminary. When the beautiful, towering Spain came out, she was easily overshadowed.
Yes I forgot abt Russia . She is stunning
Judge Pia is in the house with Jonas and preliminary judge Cecilio Asuncion.
Pia: Dont worry, ako pa pareho mo kaming inalagaan.
Tae kau!!! mga taga A&Q!!!
Jonas: If Rodgil can do it in Miss Earth, why can’t we in Miss Universe?
I can single out Peru as the prettiest . She is cute sexy and sweet… very much like Miss Peru from last yr ( who I thought was the prettiest among the top 13)
But I’m still rooting for Rachel … queen na queen ang dating … without that imposing
Personality .
Please do not forget to smile !!!! Let your body and your tan do the smize for you !!!!
I think with how aggressive Thailand has been at MU, it won’t be long until they produce a winner. I don’t think this is the yr though . I don’t see the fire in her . I could be wrong
The last time Thailand won was with a US-raised and educated woman. She was very articulate, and it helped her a lot that the competition was held in Hong Kong – it was Asia’s year. If Thailand has a chance of winning MU again, this is their best chance because Maria can speak English well. If they don’t win this year, they will have a hard time winning anytime soon.
Me too Fabian.
I actually think Peru and Philippines will be the Top 2.
Rachel is doing fine. She’s not OA.
May spot ‘to sa semis.
But what does that really say? That you have to wear these expensive clothes everyday to look as beautiful as me. Talk about being a role model.

Hahahaha ikaw din bahala ka jan! Pag nanalo si Thailand. Its not credited to ur record na nahulaan mo ng tumpak ang Miss Universe this year!!! Sinukuan mo ang Prediction Game naten eh!!! Spill it Momshie!!!! Who do u think will win???
Dear Baklah,
It is not the fault of Mr. Norman if you are so dense or naivé or plain stupid Read between the lines. Let us be fair to him. He is placed in a position as what Ate Vi would describe “damaged you do and damaged if you don’t “ lol.
Any of the top ten chosen by this post would be a decent winner.
World Peace.
I barely comment so here we go. Theres just something about Miss Thailand that I find so condescending. Like when I see her smiling pics parang what shes saying is, yeah I know Im the best, yeah I got this bitches. I wanna see some sincerity, some humility, and lalo na ung likeability factor. Like with Kenya last time, di fake ung pinapakita nya. Maybe Marias fans just blew her ego too much.

Properly dressed naman so ok lang
Miss Philippines with Miss Ukraine

naku atcheng rachel namumulitika sa T & T judge hihihi
Rodgil Flores is in Vegas… ready to support Rachel in the finals!
one lady who caught my eye is Tanzania.
her hips in ss though
Thailand will only bring home the Fan Vote award.
South Africa will not make the top 16
I was a fan of Ehrin facial beauty. was …between Thailand and Indonesia mas napapatitig ako Kay Bunga during the prelims. but we don’t know how great they are during the closed door interview.
Thai might not even make the top 8 cut w that form
Jackie ang tigas ng dila ni Indonesia . she sounds very humble so I hope she makes the semi-final round . I see Venus and to a certain extent Janine in her … with her strong Pasarela and over all presentation .
@Fabian. yes pilipit dila ni Bunga but Pasarela and body wise she is stronger than thai na maganda lamang mukha. Thai in yamamay mukhang kailangan I deworm not to mention straight cut b
my fave thai queen still aniporn and w indo still kezia
Rachel is the strongest Asian and my miss universe
Jackiey12 , is Maria really a b ? She sounds amiable to me . Yes I like Thailand 2015 ….way bettered than Thailand 2016.
I like both Kezia and Bunga too . I hate that f——g Indonesia 2015 . Talking about b——-s hihhii
i hope that MU 2018 will be held in the philippines
or outside of the u.s.

World Peace.
I see what you did there Sir! 😊😊😊
Russia was betrayed by her nerves during the preliminary competition, so I will strike her out and put Great Britain and/or Iceland. I say ‘and’ because Germany and Spain are not lock. However, after I watched the preliminaries again, I think France is a lock for Europe, although she is really from French Guiana. France’s stage presence and her face look amazing. However, her gown in the preliminaries might have been better.
I vote for Venezuela for Americas but if she is in, then I do not want Colombia to be in. USA is a lock. Watching the prelims again, Jamaica has a weird ramp walk which might prove to be her waterloo.
Asia/Africa is the tricky place; There are FIVE outstanding ones: Philippines, South Africa, Thailand and these two, Thailand & Angola. I mean the rest cannot catch up with these five but it’s so hard to eliminate any one of them.
I want a new country to win. I think MUOrg will favor European fan base again. I want to give it to Great Britain or Iceland.
If it is going to be a repeat country, of course, I vote Philippines but if not, I greatly favor South Africa.
sorry , FIVE outstanding for Asia: Philippines, South Africa, Thailand and Indonesia & Angola
FIVE outstanding for Asia/Africa: Philippines, South Africa, Thailand and Indonesia & Angola (…sorry)
I’m with you on Angola. I think she’ll be standing with the top 16. And I think she’s strong enough to go very far.
I have a feeling that Russia or a black delegate from Africa will win the crowm. #feeling
Of course, I will not complain if Rachel will walk away with the crown.
Godbless Rachel. See yah live via satellite 🙂 bring home the crown
Hi Kuya Norm… we didnt know each other personaly but i always reading your blog every time you have a post and everytime that Ms. U kicks off i always waiting for your prediction and this year we have the same choice of the winner and i have 13/16 on ur list i have posted this on my fb nov. 25 to be exact…. and South Africa is also my choice on getting the crown i only dont have P. Rico and Germany but i have Iceland and D. Republic and Canada…..
My Top 3 Based on SS and EG
1. Philippines – she was radiant on stage!
2. Angola – flawless presentation and styling
3. Venezuela – best pasarela! Mariam style but more likable.
I have a feeling Russia will win.
Dear God, you made me sad when you took my favorite matinee Idol, David Cassidy, this week. Early this year, you took my favorite comedy actress Mary Tyler Moore. I just want you to know that my favorite beauty pageant fans are the Thais and Indogs. Nyahahahaha!
Lmao,

Under a new management, Miss Asia Pacific International was re-established last year after a decade of hiatus. The pageant is one of the oldest pageant in the world which started in 1968.
42 delegates from different parts of the world are currently competing and has just finished the Evening Gown Competition last night at Movenpick Resort and Spa located in Boracay. .
Coronation Night will be on November 29, 2017 at Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila.
Valeria was one of the prettiest in ME this year…akala ko she will make the top 16 cut…lots of potential…I guess she’s shining now. Nakatulong ang experience nya sa ME PLUS IT HELPED na komportable na sya sa pinas…
she’s only 19….give it 3-5 years and she’ll be representing Honduras at MU
Watched Miss U’s FB live broadcast earlier feat. the recently concluded prelims.
May mga girls na assigned to hold the camera at magsasabi ng things about them…there were around 6 to 8…and one thing is common – sila yung mga makukuda.
Top 3: Philippines, Indonesia, Namibia
It’s not over until it is.
I hope Rachel keeps smiling showing her beautiful teeth .
Let her tan and her sexy dress do the smize for her !
She looked really really great in her swimsuit .
She was perfect in tangerine during Binibini . Why the change , idk. But what ever makes her feel good wearing , I hope she smiles and shows the judges she really wants it .
Indonesia looked really ‘good’ from a distance . She may do a Venus Raj. Winning maybe hard to fathom , Sobrang tigas ng dila nya.
If IMG let Rachel win, rest assured they won’t have a hard time staging MU in the Philippines again. Not only is Rachel very much deserving of the crown, but they get to reap more coz much of the work will be done for them…by us. Think, IMG, think.
Correct 😗
Personal information: Wanda Teo wants to host MU 2018. I’m sure this is at the back of MUO’s mind =) No, it’s not Chavit funding it this time. Yes, Jonas is out.
SOUNDS INTERESTING
Aba James, si manay rodgil will suggest to MUO to travel more around the Philippines.
Asia + Africa + Oceania:
Philippines
Indonesia
Cambodia
Nepal
Angola
Ghana
Guam
Thailand would enter by fan vote. China performed better except China is more like a Supermodel than a beauty queen!
My gut feel says the otherwise, except for Rachel. Thailand won’t advance in the top 10. Indonesia may go as far as top 5. Rachel will be in the top 3, but a first-runner up finish will be her highest placement. That is unless Rachel gives an excellent answer a la Pia, then she’ll be crowned Miss Universe. If South Africa won’t do well, at least a black candidate will get the crown.
May the best woman win on Sunday night.
Hahaha! Everybody is dying to see South Africa in the semis, Bong, such that her exclusion would be a big disappointment! Jamaica is a dark horse, or Ghana may give everyone a run for her money. It’s about time to crown another African. I bet.
many times nang nangyari na ang pinaka highly favored to win won’t even make the top 16…
Miss Universe 2017 Preliminary Competition
..cherette hihihi
A top 3 finish for Rachel, will already do it for me. Winning the crown, of course, will be the best thing for Rachel and the Filipinos. I have faith in Rachel that she will rock Planet Hollywood Sunday night in Vegas. I believe she still has something left up her sleeve that will wow everyone in the finals – just watch 🙂 🙂 🙂 Regardless of the results, I am already very proud of Rachel ! Let’s keep the support coming in, guys ! Go Rachel !
Angola or Thailand for MU
Rachel top 5
South Africa top 10
Venezuela and Colombia won’t crack top 10
USA top 5
Indonesia Top 16
A Filipino sandwich win is of course ideal but any of the three scenarios will be fine with me. Or a country who has never won before. 😀
Congratulations Philippines, Country of the year again😋🙄👍
Ok lang, as long as she clearly demonstrates that she is best of them all. Kung hindi, katakot-takot na bashing maririnig nila..they will never hear the end of it.
Rachel all the way. She’s the fairest veks of them all…
I love Rachel but South Africa’s got my heart and soul imprisoned, she’s just so likeable and her obvious beauty… a LITERAL GODDESS. She has my full support, besides masyado pang maaga for the Philippines to win at Miss Universe again.

Really Norman/? I thought your just kidding or perhaps it’s already pass your papers because your having some diarrhea and you need to go to the lavatory ASAP. The only candidate that make sense to me is Philippines period. Thailand my gosh are they trying to win this old looking girl? She can’t smile for some reason she needs to hide something. Then miss South Africa for Pete’s sake she’s like a drawf failed miserably in the prelims.
Addendum I’ve been hearing something about Nepal. Again top ten is already sealed. Wishing everyone good luck.
Yep Ivan. I think Thailand is overrated.
Sir Norman, you have interchanged the caption for Colombia and Mexico.
