  2. That Mikimoto crown is one of the best together with the classic MU crown. Sana ibalik na lang… kung may problem sa fitting, sana iayos na lang.

  3. Super gusto talaga ni Arienne Calingo na lumaban sa MU tingnan nyo nagcocompete sya ngayon as Miss Nepal. Charing haha

serious note: voting is open na. go to MU website sayang 10votes/day daliiiiii. dagdag din yun

  4. Got this from Missosology and wanted to share someone’s experience watching the NatCos live at Las Vegas…

So I went to Planet Hollywood hoping to see the National Costume Show and I brought along a person who know nothing about pageants and does not follow pageants at all: my mother. She was not interested in the event, but I asked to come, and she reluctantly agreed. There was a long line at 7:15PM when we got to the Mezzanine Level (over 200 people), and at around 7:40PM everyone entered the area to find a seat… since we were one of the last ones to get in, we were standing up in the back right next to the media and we had already got used to the idea of watching the 2-hour long show on our feet… until a security guy came over to us and asked us to please seat on the first row, next to the runway!!! As they say: “the last ones will be the first ones”, at least this time, this saying was right! All of those who entered the venue first, were seated in the back rows… and we entered the venue at the end, and got to seat in the front row, right in front of Iris!

I asked my mom for her opinion of the girls, and she was pleasantly surprised by the following. These were her comments:
Angola: the girl is extremely pretty and her skin is gorgeous.
    Barbados: very nice body.
    Colombia: what a body!
Croatia: pretty face with a perfect profile.
    Ecuador: extremely beautiful.
    France: exotic.
Iceland: what a beautiful girl! Stunning and those eyes!
    Mexico: looks like Ximena Navarrete.
    South Africa: B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L.
    Turkey: beautiful facial features!

*I have to say I was surprised by China. She looks completely different in pictures, and they don’t do her justice. In person, she is very beautiful!
*I was also surprised by Ireland, she looked very pretty and her body looks like a Latina’s, very well proportioned!
*France is stunning in person, her face is perfection and forces you to look at her.
*Iceland is very pretty, and her eyes are mesmerizing. The make-up she was wearing and the way she was staring at the cameras and the audience made her look very sexy.
*Philippines looked gorgeous and that costume showcased her amazing legs.
*I was not a fan of Venezuela, but I have to say Keysi is very beautiful in person. She might pull a surprise.
*Haiti, Curacao and Ecuador are VERY pretty in person too.
*It was painful to watch El Salvador trying to walk on her boat / National Costume. The poor girl was really struggling and she did not look comfortable at all. People behind these costumes should have in mind all the walking the girls have to do on stage before creating those uncomfortable costumes!
*Panama was a great surprise for me. She does look older in pictures, but in person she is a doll! And did I mention those legs? 😀
*Nigeria is got to be one of the most beautiful black barbies of this year. She is undeniably pretty, looks very sweet.
*Norway is not as bad as some forumers say. She is actually pretty in person.
*I was expecting much more from Brazil 😐 .
*Croatia… she should be on the top 15 during the finals. She is a stunner and a head-turner!!!
*Puerto Rico is also much more beautiful in person.
*Canada is a queen!!! One of the most beautiful girls on the competition.
*US Virgin Islands is also very beautiful. She might pull a surprise!
*The national costumes of Costa Rica and Guatemala… A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
*Did I mention Honduras has an incredible body?

      • Hi ObservingYou,

My MU 2017 is Rachel, of course! 🙂 I am being biased but I have high hopes she’ll cinch the 4th MU crown for the Philippines. Tama lang ang timpla niya – she’s not an attention-seeker but exudes calm confidence when she speaks.

The road to the crown is unpaved and rocky. I wouldn’t be surprised if these ladies will be with her in the semis:

        -Thailand
        -South Africa
-Canada (she has a commanding presence)
        -Indonesia
        -Russia (love her flamboyance)
-India (her beauty can be striking and she talks with sense)
-France (there’s something about her… je ne sais quoi)
        -Germany
        -Venezuela
        -Iceland
        -Peru

        Who’s your MU 2017, ObservingYou?

  5. Mga veks parang walang glitz and glamour ang MU this year. So far hindi lahat nag Yamamay shoot, walang official glamshots, National Costume presentation was lame and now we are already in the prelims. Mas may K pa ang Miss Earth this year. Even MGI put an effort with the location and presentation of the costumes.

  6. Anyare sa DIC crown? Care to share some facts?

  7. Anyway, I kept replaying the video in which Daisy Fuentes asked Karen Agustin about the Mikimoto crown. I couldn’t understand Karen’s answer. Can you?

    • PANO MO MAIINTINDIHAN E BOGOK KA! YANG INA MONG PUTA DI KA MAN LANG TINURUAN! KAYA WAG KA NANG MAGPUMILIT AT MAGTALITALINUHAN DAHIL MANA KA LANG SA INA MONG POKPOK!

ASAN NA ANG NBI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????? AT SINO ANG PUSHER NA NAGPUPUSH SAYONG SUMALI KUNO SA PATIMPALAK NG KAGANDAHAN GAYONG NI KATITING NA GANDA E WALA KA! BUGOK TALAGA!

  8. That Mikimoto crown is very iconic and fits the most deserving girl of the finals night! Bring it back, c’mon!
