    • Who would’ve thought that swimsuit would be Mariel’s best round? Re: national costume, I loved the sarimanok head gear but the dress made her look rather stocky & the length was rather informal & lacked a regal/queenly quality to me. I couldn’t imagine a crown on someone wearing a dress of that length, even if just a national costume. And as for evening gown, it was a bit underwhelming, Mariel looked so much better at Bb Pilipinas. At any rate, I know the odds were against Mariel & her team to begin with. And I still applaud her effort, as well as A&Qs.
