The 42 Official Candidates of Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 were introduced to members of the media during the Press Presentation held earlier – both at the Ballroom and Poolside of EDSA Shangri-La Hotel Manila.
In the same event, the new crown (made by Manny Halasan) was unveiled by Miss Asia Pacific International President Jacqueline Tan-Sainz and reigning winner Tessa Le Conge.
Voted as Darling of the Press is a surprised Hasini Samuel of Sri Lanka, followed by Aylasha Ramrachia of Mauritius and Vuong Thanh Tuyem of Vietnam.
The candidates will be brought to Palawan for the Swimsuit Competition at Sheridan Resort, with Boracay as another stop at Sheridan Villas. Finals will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila on November 29.
My early favorites are Brazil, Cook Islands, Honduras, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Philippines, Suriname and Vietnam.
