Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific International 2017 Ilene Astrid de Vera is admittedly a pageant newbie who won her first-ever crown – on a national level at that – in her first attempt. Not bad for this tall and beautiful Cebuana who is learning the tricks of the trade from the meaningful advises of predecessors and well-intentioned handlers. At the same time, she knows that spontaneity is another card she can play – inspired by the all-around performance of fellow Cebuana Elizabeth Clenci who just placed 2nd Runner-Up in Miss Grand International 2017.
Ilene takes into full consideration her role as host delegate while setting her sights on the Miss Asia-Pacific International crown – a potential achievement she wants to land on top of her head by November 26 – finals date of her pageant mission. She will make sure that the forty-nine (49) other delegates will see her – both as a friendly big sister and a worthy competitor.
Here is a quick video greeting for the readers of normannorman.com from Ilene herself.
