All in one frame now, the three winners of the Regional Costume Competition of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2017

Designer Louis Pangilinan was the big winner as his creations won top spot and 1st Runner-Up courtesy of Crystal Rosehelly Alday of Camarines Sur and Alyssa Joreen Reyes of Lemery, Batangas respectively. 2nd Runner-Up Nicole Kristel Losloso of Southern Luzon was dressed up in a painstakingly finished output from Quezon-based Jojo Alidio.
They finished on top, but I have to doff my hat as well to the other creative geniuses who shared their talents like Edwin Uy, Leo Almodal, Sony Boy Mindo, Manny Halasan, Rian Fernandez, Jun-G Candelario, John Cliff, Cheistopher Ledesma and more.
Beautiful, classy and pleasant to the eyes.
Such a beautiful contrast compared to that flowery mess which MJ Lastimosa wore at the 2014 MU pageant.
What a horrible memory.
Ganda lahat! Bravo!
Such a rich plethora of local costume designs from the Philippines with its embarrassment of riches in inspiring these designs.
Which makes that highly lamentable Philippines national costume representation or the severe lack thereof fiasco in the 2017 Asia Model Awards a.k.a. Face Of Asia all the more pathetic and infuriating. Just goes to show that the local organizers were so unprepared and uninspired to represent our country in that international competition showcase. No justifiable excuse whatsoever for that epic fail on a global stage at that.
Better than what Maxine wore during the Miss Universe pageant
BAT NMAN DAW NASAMA SI MAXINE DITO….MOVE ON NA TEH!
very well done!!!
i like the unusual but very pleasant colors of the winner
it took me a while but i realized that the 1st runner up was inspired by a fan from the turn of the century
so much handiwork on these, i wonder how much hours were put in hand embroidering these
bravo!
bakit puros pandak ang mga candidates?????????????? wala man lang matangkad na sumali
In fairness national standard, may class ang dating ng natcos
I love it 😋
BETTER THAN TOSE WORN BY THOSE MISS TOURISM EK EK EK CANDIDATES. AND THANKS GOD NO 10 METERS HIGH HEELS..
I agree on the “meter-high” heals. I’m sure that there are.candidates who still wear them during this stage but they wore those heals perfectly. Not distracting at all.
