  1. Ganda din! I actually love the variety here.

  2. Such a rich plethora of local costume designs from the Philippines with its embarrassment of riches in inspiring our very own designers.

Which makes that highly lamentable Philippines national costume representation or the severe lack thereof fiasco in the 2017 Asia Model Awards a.k.a. Face Of Asia all the more pathetic and infuriating. Just goes to show that the local organizers were so unprepared and uninspired to represent our country in that international competition showcase. No justifiable excuse whatsoever for that epic fail on a global stage at that.

  3. Help me understand, since when do we consider ‘mile high’ shoes sexy? I mean there are candidates who actually look like they are stepping on stilts (the kadang kadang stilts). I understand that nude heals make the legs look longer but I don’t find them appealing.

  5. notable natcos for me—
ati-atihan?
yung may parang chandelier sa ulo, made of beads
at yung pahiyas? (yung fan kasi parang kiping)

  6. mAHALAY YONG PAGKAKAKABUKAKA NONG NAKA MULAWIN COSTUME, DI KO AWARI KUNG TRIBUTE BA NYA YAN SA MULAWIN O SA AGILA SA DAVAO. IWASAN NA NGA YANG MGA GANYANG CONCEPT, GASGAS NA YAN. NAGMUKHA TULOY BADING NA SASALI SA MISS GAY BARANGAY PAGEANT!

YONG ISA, WEDDING GOWN NA NILAGYAN NG GWANTIS, AT PINATUNGAN NG MALA CHANDELIER NA HEADRESS NA ME MGA MASKARA, COSTUME NA DAW!

YONG ISANG ONE NAKAPUTI NA ME KORONA AT ME HAWAK NA MANGKOK AT ONE SIDED LANG YONG MALA BULAKLAK NA MANGAS AY DI KO MAWARI KONG ANONG FESTIVAL O REGION BA YONG COSTUME NYA, ANG NASA ISIP KO MODERN VERSION ITO NG BINASUAN YONG MAGPAPANDANGO SA ILAW PERO SA HALIP NA BASO AT KANDIA, MANGKOK ANG SA KANYA.

DI KO MAWARI YONG CONCEPT NG PLEATED GOLDEN WINGS NONG ISANG KANDIDATA, DI KO MALAMAN KUNG SYA BA SI CLEOPATRA NG EHIPTO O SYA YONG ANAK NI VOLTRON SA JAPANESE ANIME.

YON NAMNAG ISA NA NAKA FILIPIANA NG BLUE, SUSMARYOSEP BAKIT NAMAN GANON AYOS, KALA MO NAMAN MAGNININANG SA KASAL. KE TANDA TANDA TIGNAN. PANGURANG NA NGA DESIGN NG GOWN INOKRAY PA ANG HAIRDO.

SAKA REQUIRMENT BA YONG MGA SAPATOS NILA, DI MO MALAMAN KUNG BAKYA BA MGA YON O PALO PALO SA LABADA.

BUT IN FAIRNESS MARAMI DIN TALAGANG MAGAGANDA AT VERY CREATIVE ANG PAGKAKAGAWA. FAV KO YONG SECOND PICTURE.

  7. Painfully detailed, eye candy bordering on eyesore. Not so wearable. Do NOT forget the incident at the recent Miss Manila, please.

    • ateng ano pinagsasabi mo jang “not so wearable”?….costumes ang mga to hindi damit…tlgang hindi wearable ang mga toh..ikaw ba magcocostume k araw araw ?

  8. very creative talaga mga filipino designers!!

    • Lol. I noticed that too. Those. Shoes. Though. Especially the shoes of that Pateros / Egyptian and Moriones representatives. Fierce.

While I admire the creativity, some designs are make you question what festival or what province is being represented. Masyadong forced. But generally, except for some cheap looking gowns, most can be a worthy Philippine costume for any international contest.

      World Peace.
