Soon, Glyssa Perez will step out of the shadow of her famous cousin – Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina – and create her own identity as the beauty who will endeavor to conquer Miss World Philippines 2017. She has paid her pageant dues as Miss Bohol 2016 after serving one full year of reign and relinquishing the crown just last weekend to her new successor.
Glyssa may have spent a good period of her growing up years Down Under. But she wants more than anything else to be the pride of the country of her roots. So she planned her route towards a national crown the long way. She has localized herself enough to lay claim for an honor that would allow for a potential representation in an international competition. And this coming weekend, we will see if she has it in her fate to soar higher and hopefully zero in on more than just a Princess tag in the nationals.
Best of luck to you, Glyssa!
