Wearing Piña suits created by Cherry Samuya Veric, our three big Queens – Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, Miss World Megan Young and Miss International Kylie Verzosa – added so much glitter to the parade which celebrated the 119th Philippine Independence Day along Madison Avenue in Manhattan. Fil-Americans and spectators showed up in full force to see the three beauties – joined by now NYC-based Miss World Philippines 2014 Valerie Weigmann – atop their float as well as take part in the annual commemoration.
It was a very festive occasion over the weekend, and something that always unites the Filipinos in the US East Coast year after year.

Epic event Tito Norms! Rainy gloomy day in New York City but the queens were game enough to respond with smile, wave, and a kiss or two for the warm welcome and cheers coming from their fans during the parade. For the first time walang artista na sumali sa parade this year but you know the three were the main attraction. Hinabol ng mga fans ang float nila. Megan is as gorgeous as ever. This was her second time attending this event while Pia and Kylie seemed to have enjoyed their debut appearance here. Si Pia ang may pinakamaraming sigaw and fans. For me, ang ganda talaga nilang tatlo but Megan will always have a special place in my heart. She is just mesmerizing. Saw her up close in Miss World 2016 and her aura is just different. Glad I came out for this once in a lifetime event. Sana magka movie silang tatlo ala Charlie’s Angels. Sana lang. oh by the way Mama J, Mama Ru and Cherry Veric served as their umbrella men. Kami Lang ata ng mga friends ko ang sumisigaw sa name nila. Pageant fanatic Lang Kame ha ha.
i love how they have this same outfit. walang “ay mas maganda suot ni ganyan..” and very event appropriate. ang refreshing nilang makita na naka suits instead of dresses and gowns. mas madali silang kumilos.
