Jessica is taking the competition with a positive mind and heart


You can’t count out a fighter like Jessica Ramirez that easily. She started the whole Bb. Pilipinas 2017 journey filled with optimism and determination. And as your Binibini4, she is out to prove that she is just as deserving as the rest.

Here is your sweet Mindoro lass for this Lenten blog feature:

“As we commemorate this Holy Week the tragic yet humbling story of Jesus Christ’s sufferings and victory on the cross, I cannot help but marvel at how much He really loves us. Personally, the thought that God who is so Holy and so mighty sent His only begotten Son to suffer and die for undeserving sinners like myself is so overwhelming. The realization for me that He is not a distant God but personal God who is longing to have a personal relationship with us changed my belief and perspective in life. I don’t need to prove myself to Him to earn His love and grace but to believe on what He has done for me. This amazing and unconditional love that is available to all of us who believes in Him drives me to be more grateful to Him every day, to live a life with purpose, and to share His love to others. I believe that everyday not only during this Holy Week is a good opportunity for us to commemorate and live out His amazing love for us.”

“I joined this competition hoping and praying that this will turn my life into a new chapter. I don’t know what’s going to happen yet but I’ve set my heart and my mind to take everything positively. I always keep on praying and hoping for the best.

Being a candidate in this prestigious competition is a surreal and great experience which I believe will help me to become a better version of myself. I make sure to use every opportunity that I have to mingle and to learn more from my co-candidates and from the management of Binibining Pilipinas. The competition also helps to know myself deeper and to challenge myself to see my weaknesses as an opportunity to strive more and to turn them into strengths.”

  4. Isn’t she the one who works at the Office of the University Architect of UP Diliman? If so, she continues in the tradition of the likes of Ms. Supsup (also Diliman campus) and Ms. Arida (of the Chemistry program of the Los Banos campus). I hope they allow her to at least make the 1st Cut.
