When the easel of your #Binibini27 Beatrice Valente fell in the middle of her talent performance during the Bb. Pilipinas 2017 Talent Competition last Saturday afternoon, she remained unfazed and kept on with the task of finishing the art work she started doing in an upside-down mode. The realizations from that minute mishap led her to process the following thoughts:
”I know we live in a world where people judge our actions without knowing what really happened before and because we live in a generation where we can use social media in a positive or negative way, I decided to write this. Yesterday, we, Binibini candidates had our talent show. While I was painting upside down + singing three songs in different languages, my easel fell and I felt panic all over but I still had to continue doing everything in addition without an easel and holding a very heavy canvas with only one hand. I felt awful because the painting was not an ideal painting of an artist and everyone was expecting a lot from me but I did what my intuition and heart told me to do and that was to continue and tell everyone that it wasn’t the best performance but my message was to follow your dreams. I felt it necessary to express myself that I was conscious it wasn’t perfect but my heart spoke out perfectly and genuinely…
Emotions are part of being human. My story is the Plane itself and maybe the easel really had to fall because I had to share this post.
I asked Beatrice how she is taking it all in as a Binibini, and this is her reply:
“Binibini is a challenge and it may not be only reaching the destination or goal but embracing that life is a journey that must be felt and live with all the energy and positivity. Nothing is impossible and limited if you want it ,you do everything to get it.”
