Last night, I was the only member of the recognizable pageant media who attended the surprise 50th Birthday Bash of Rodgil Flores – the well-loved man behind Kagandahang Flores – which was held at Club One 690 in Quezon City. There was a visible outpouring of love from everyone who became part of his life as a beauty queen-maker, friend and loved one. The core team behind the event – led by Georgette Garrido, Kristine Caballero-Aplal, Gelbert Aplal and David Isaac Buenaventura – made sure that everything was kept in utmost secrecy up until the final reveal when the celebrant showed up at the venue unaware of what he will witness upon arrival (he was made to know that it was an important client meeting instead). He could not hold back the tears especially when an emotionally-made three-part video (which included Janicel Lubina who is currently in Brisbane for a project and Karen Agustin-Ostrea who is tied up with commitments as well) was shown detailing some of the individuals who have benefitted from his love, generosity and unconditional care.Beauty queens spotted last night included Bea Rose Santiago, Angelia Ong, MJ Lastimosa, Parul Shah, Maggie Wilson-Consunji, Angelee Delos Reyes, Patricia Fernandez, Precious Lara Quigaman, Karla Henry, Kris Tiffany Janson, Athena Imperial, Camille Hirro, Janela Joy Cuaton, Ganiel Krishnan, Jaya San Jose, Mia Howell, Rachel Peters, Julian Flores, Abigail Cruz, Alexandra Faith Garcia, Gail Ventic, Kristine Estoque, Karen Ibasco, Brenna Gamboa and more. Mr. Gay World Philippines Organization Head Wilbert Tolentino (who was there with John Raspado and Bench Ortiz) was his usually generous self as he added a big amount to the already raised funds (whole-heartedly contributed upon by all previous titleholders and sponsors) for the future training of all KF beauty queen-aspirants. I won’t mention the exact amounts anymore but it’s definitely worth a lot.
Here are more photos from the event.
From all of us here at normannorman.com, may you have more fruitful and love-filled years to come, Rodgil Flores!Keep on helping and training and loving our beautiful Filipinas! You are really well-loved by everyone.
Cheers! 😀
You have to give him credit, he really does want the ladies to be the spotlight and they all seem very loyal to their Tito. I do think the camp is lagging with the times, but he has fielded many of our international titleholders (including a certain Brightest Star in the Universe) when maybe others wouldn’t have. That’s something to celebrate.
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday Sir Rodgil! The Philippines is eternally grateful for all the hard work and efforts you put in to make our country the Pageant Powerhouse that it is today. Cheers to you you and to more international crowns in the future!
I do agree… Mia Howell should get the Miss Intercon, Miss Grand or Miss Globe.
Its your time to shine, Mr Rodgil. Cheers!
Hindi sya mukhang 50, mas mukha syang 51! Hehehe joke lang po sir Rodgil. Happy happy birthday! Sana marami ka pang matulungan na mga aspiring beauty queens.
At syempre thank you sa mga contribution ng inyong team sa tagumpay ng ating mga beauty queen sa international.
Charette MisTisa, hi and hello daw from Miss Dee hihihi
I commend Rodgil for his contributions to Philippine pageantry. I heard that he’s also a great son and generally kind to everyone.
His team looks like a happy and supportive team. However, as people who are into a business that depends on good looks and dressing up appropriately for a given occasion, they leave much to be desired. They look porcine with bad hairstyles and even worse fashion sense. The only good thing is that they don’t have the mega-veneers that they are fond of imposing on their girls.
I look forward na ma-achieve din ng KF and na-achieve ng A&Q and vice-versa!
Hate No More please!!!
Happy Birthday “Golden Boy Rodgil”!!!!
It’s nice to see KF Family is One Big Happy Family☺
To Mama Rodgil, Happy Birthday mamang🎂🎁😊

Itigil na natin ang bashing sa mga beauty camps hi hi hi love love love na lang for a brighter tomorrow sa Philippines Beauty Pageants and many more Country/Performer of the Year Awards for the Philippines 💓💓💗
THE MOST PASSIONATE BEAUTY QUEEN MAKER THE MOST KIND HEARTED THE BEST!!
Yeah, the same with other beauty camps hi hi hi
Mas maganda po tingnan ang mga ngiti kung hindi OA ang mga veneers. Sana po pakinggan nyo kami, Sir Rodgil. Anyways, happy birthday and may you continue producing international Filipina beauty queens.
I look forward na ma-achieve din ng KF and na-achieve ng A&Q and vice-versa!
Hate No More please!!!
Happy Birthday “Golden Boy Rodgil”!!!!
So nice to see Mia Howell again! I think she’ll be perfect for the rebranded Miss Universe. She has impressive credentials – a National Fencer (with a silver at the SEA Games), an ivy league (UPenn) graduate with a degree in International Relations (Gender Issues), and a former intern for the Governor of California. IMG would be all over her! Can you talk her into joining, please Norman?
