Indeed, victory is sweet for Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa and her beloved Angels during the Victory Celebration held at Chopstick House inside Araneta Center last night. Our newly-crowned Queen, along with her parents Ari and Raquel, arrived amidst the joyous cheers of her most loyal supporters and a few members of the media. There was food to be feasted upon and lots of stories and pleasant anecdotes to be shared. And hey, there was even a beauty contest participated in by some members who gamely played the pageant part and answered questions from the more senior attendees (like Tita Raquel Verzosa, Rappler’s Alexa Villano, normannorman.com’s Joy Arguil and Dennis Natividad of In Dencio’s Eyes). Fellow Bb. Pilipinas 2016 Official Candidate Ysh Ramos was also present (along with Cas Winters). Kylie acted as the presiding VIP guest of course.

It was such a happy occasion for everyone. And as Kylie herself admitted, her journey to the Miss International 2016 crown would not have been complete without the constant love and support of her Angels who stood by her from start to finish up to now.

  2. Ang mga Indons at Thais, malayo pa ang agwat sa tagumpay ng Pinas sa mga beauty pageants. 6 Miss International, 3 Miss Universe, 3 Miss Earth at 1 Miss World. Sa big 4 pa lang yan ha.
    Ang Thailand maliban sa Miss Universe, waley na… lalo na ang Indonesia.
    Ngayon naka-runner up lang sa MI akala mo kung ano na ang narating?
    Pasalamat sila at may mga second tier na pageant. At kung di pa sila sipsip sa organizer wala pa rin.

    Ang katapat ng Pinas ay ang mga latinas Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Mexico at USA, Australia. Sa Asia medyo dumidikit lang ang India. Wala na!

      • Nakita ko din yan. Nakaka tawa pero not literally kay kylie o sa dress nya. Dun ako mas natawa sa nag post at sa mga bashers na indo.
        Speaking of complain natin sa MGI is very acceptable naman talaga. Kung kay felice as 2nd runner up nothing to complain talaga eh. Both kylie and nicole stood up over indonesia.
        Mas may credibility pa ang MI sa MGI. Ang MI they base the winner tru speech. How they carry their selves during activities in pageant specially sa speech. Unlike MGI. I admit ariska is beautifull talaga and stunning pero nicole stood out among them both speech and Q&A. Maganda din naman si nicole. Pero mas lamang talaga si nicole.
        Talagang bitter lang itong si nawatt.

      • Hayaan nyo na lang ang indo. Yan ang way nila mailabas lang ang sama ng loob at inggi. Dyoskow nmn, mambash naman sana ang indo kung may napapatunayan na sila. 😅😅😅

      • Minsan talaga mas nakakaawa kaysa sa nakakainis yang mga indo. Tingnan niyo, nag effort pa talaga sa pag edit at pambabash. Sa bagay nga naman, hindi nanalo yung babalina nila kasi ininvite na nila ang MI sa pageant nila, kahit na sa pinas ang training, kahit na todo support ang mga fans nila, kahit na gumastos sa mga damit hahahahaha. Tapos feeling power house na sila kung makapag critique wahahahahaha hayaan na natin minsan pero okay din sigurong patulan minsan.

  6. @Laila, so what if they share “trade secrets”?

    Ang unang tanong kasi diyan very winnable ba ang trade sectets nila? Ang assumption kasi na maari tayong i-overtake ng Indonesia at Thailand ay very superb at very competitive ang training tactics nung mga tahasang nagshe-share ng secrets. Sa pagkakaalam ko at based on observation na super template kaya ang pag-groom nila sa Filipina candidates nila for Binibini at MPE nila. Saan ka ba nakakita ng same looks, same make-up (if may attempt man na magkaroon ng customized look ang bets nila ay hindi naman magkaroon ng dent kasi parang wala rin naman i.e Lubina 2015 at Catacutan 2015). Iyong lakad, very Miss Venezuela or Latin-ized in general kaya parang hindi rin stand out. Also, ang Q&A pageant patty pa rin ang ganap kahit sabihin nila sila raw at may “quick thinking” workout kasi puro ganda lang ang pinapadala nila kulang sa substance. Kahit may trade secrets na ganap, what matters the most ay training on constant improvement and a dose of ifeas generated from constant training. Kung baga, mastery is king. Diyan mahina ang kapitbahay natin kasi newbies pa sila pero kahit na ma-master nila ang mastery of training a girl, so what? Hello, matagal na tayo na-threatened at pinalamon ng alikabok ng Venezuela ngayon pa ba tayo mate-threatened? Ang Venezuela nga nagpapabayad ng traininggs pero wit pa rin. Ang akin lang competition makes everyone better so kung magshare ng secrets so be it. Andaming camps sa atin na rise for the challenge.

  7. and while i thot the kylie homecoming series has ended, here comes another one at ang nakakatawa, ibang subject matter ang mga comments. ..at buti pa ung cake, napansin na mar nel daw, e ung suot o mala dysosang aura daw ni kylie waley..

  8. Ang nakaka inis sa mga kapitbahay nating thai at indo, kung maka bash eh wagas pero sa atin naman kumukuha ng trade secrets at nagpapa train pa dito. Fini figure out nila ang Philippine formula tapos kapag ginamit nila at nakakuha ng magandang result…ang yayabang at feeling mas magaling at mas accomplished na sa atin. Huwag makapagmalaki sa atin yang mga indo ng mgi crown nila dahil pinoy ang trainer ni ariska noh!

    Kaya dapat we should not rest on our laurels…keep on improving on the winning formula para lagi tayong a step ahead of the neighbors dahil alam naman nating meron kampong willing mag train ng foreigngirls para may rep din sila sa major pageants kapag naliligwak ang girls nila sa BbP

    • I’m pretty sure that if we train under them for ASEAN games we can get more golds and beat them. The thing is, they probably won’t be willing to train our athletes. We are so generous in helping our neighbors but don’t get the same from them. Look at the Jasmine Rice variety, they got the technology from us but they’re reaping all the credits. I think it’s our crab mentality that puts us down as a nation…parang yung isang kampo lang.

      • I agree, their government also tricked us into importing the Thai Golden Snail as a food source but we found out later on that it is an invasive species that could wipe-out a whole rice fieled overnight. Thus, majority of our farmers resort to using harmful pesticides to protect our produce which has inevitable carcinogenic side-effects in the long run.

    • Sobrang dami ng ng mga bakla at kababata pa mandin at masyadong open. They need to be guided to channel their energy to something more beneficial to their future. A few of them could be straight but confused because of the misguidance.

      • @aj, anything that puts a smile on their face is productive for me. Who knows , they may end up being successful dancers/choreographers designers hairstylists or BQ groomers ? Gay or straight , let them enjoy their childhood the way they know how. Nothing wrong with that ..at all.

      • Sorry AJ but reading your comment made me really cringe… You’re making it seem like it’s such a bad thing that many children are starting to openly accept their sexuality… Ano ba masama doon? Do you know how awful it is to have to hide your true identity just to get accepted by other people? If that goes on to their adulthood, hindi na healthy yun. Hiding your true self doesn’t promote good mental health. Kaya ang daming nagpapakamatay at nadadiagnose ng depression. I am so proud of these kids for being so comfortable with themselves and not letting other people scare them into pretending someone who they’re not.

You don’t know these children outside of this video. Malay mo honour students ang mga iba jan, or tumutulong sa family to make money?

        Looking at these children perform their hearts out make me smile. Kasi they were able to find something that do that brings so much joy and comfort to them. Let them have their fun AJ. They DESERVE it.

      • I believe that being a gay is not a choice. The choice is if you want to open or itago na lang. Pagkasilang pa lang ng tao may gender na sya. Confusing at first, pero lalabas at lalabas din ang tunay na pagkatao pagdating ng tamang panahon. Kahit na itago pa yan, alam nila sa sarili nila kung ano talaga sila. Wala tayong magagawa dyan. I admire these children na kahit mga bata pa nakapag-open na sila agad. Di katulad ng iba dyan na hangga ngayon tumatanda na sils di pa nila magawang mag-open.

        I believe that sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression can develop independently from each other. But, all three are influenced in varrying degrees by both genetic and environmental factors. Therefore, regardless of each other’s preferences, we should learn to understand and respect each person as a unique individual.

        And the crown goes to PHILIPPINESSSSS!!!!!

        You do have a point….
        More than genes, these behaviour are mostly the product of various environmental factors that’s neither positive or negative in our society such as the lack of LGBT variety on media, lack of gender-orientation from parents, rebellion against the discriminating macho culture or maybe the child being exposed to estrogenic compounds before and/or after birth. I suggest that we educate each other by sharing our points of view without expressing hate and prejudice. Yeah, I do admit that it is hypocritical for me to say that because I myself do bash people from time to time. BUT, this is a subject that majority of us could relate to therefore it is in good timing for us to have a healthy ad hominem free discussion about it. IMHO

    • Michael Cinco started like this when he was a kid. He joined many dance competitions, painting, sports, academics, etc… Lahat! His parents accepted and loved him. Look at him now.

      Mawalang galang na, ngunit sa aking palagay ay hindi makukuha ng lahing Thai ang TAPANG nating mga Pilipino sa pagsagot.

      Dahil WALA sa kanilang pagkatao at “recent” kasaysayan ang pagiging matapang.

      Alam naman natin na sa pamamagitan lamang ng diplomasya na naiwasan ang pagsakop ng kanilang kaharian ng anumang banyagang “colonizer”. Sila ay likas na mapayapa – “pacifist”. Nakaiwas sila sa “gera at karahasan” dahil lamang nakipag-areglo ang hari nila sa hari ng Hapon noong ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig.

      Habang ang mga Pilipino ay LUMABAN, LUMALABAN, at LALABAN.

      Maaari silang magsanay sa pagsagot sa katanungan gaano pa nila gustuhin.

      Ngunit hindi pa rin nila makakamit ang tagumpay sa pageantry dahil wala sa kanila ang TAPANG.

      Kahit sa kasalukuyan, ang kaharian nila ay nabubuhay ng matiwasay dahil lamang ito ay pumayag na maging sunud-sunuran sa junta / mga makapangyarihang pinuno ng hukong Thai.

      • Sa gestures nila palagay ko Hindi naman nila kukuhain Pero parang analysis why we have been doing so well. I think after Pia and Nicole even Kylie gets Na nila Na Hindi lang fez at pasarela labanan. Hindi lang din comm skills Pero wit and quick thinking. The other examples like Brooke shows that a catchy answer (Na Na master Na ng nga pinay) really goes a long way. Memorable and packs a punch.

      • I think A&Q has a really good mentor when it comes to Q&A. It is not just about memorizing lines but being able to practice quick thinking and coherently answer in a manner that is straight forward and with no hesitation regardless of the correctness of the grammar. Yung Attorney talaga ang trade secret ng A&Q. He is that good.

    • Now they are talking nicole. Seems like si nicole talaga ang winner na winner. May ganyan ba sila kay ariska??? Masyado talaga ginalingan ni nicole haha. Bravo!!! She and Pia is our tools to prove that hinde lang beauty ang labanan. Its also brain, wit and charm. The way of answering questions… masyado din ginalingan ni nawatt na mag pahalata na they robbed the crown to nicole and gave it instead to ariska….. bitter to the highest level talagang tong si nawatt. Next year i want KF for MI and MGI. Hinde tayo pwede ng b2b sa MI. Sa MGI naman. Pakainin ulit ng alikabok ng pinay yang MGI na yan.
