Two Miss International winners in one frame by Joy Arguil
Believe it or not, Kylie Verzosa was not totally expecting to be called winner of Miss International 2016 during the finals last October 27. A member of the media asked if she already felt very confident of getting the crown when Miss Indonesia was named 2nd Runner-Up. She did not. And with Miss Australia getting 1st Runner-Up next, her nerves shot up even more. You see, she always thought that Misses Poland and Mexico are two of her toughest opponents. And with them still uncalled, the chances of being the successor of Edymar Martinez suddenly turned into a 3-in-1 probability.
Watch her quick vid as to why she really cried buckets of tears (losing a bit of poise even) after “Philippines” was announced as Miss International 2016.
Kylie with parents Raquel and Ari
It was in Kylie’s destiny to become the Philippines’ 6th Miss International titleholder. And she couldn’t have done it without the support of friends, family and most especially, her parents Ari & Raquel Verzosa. The love and unconditional support she got was just what she needed to give her that extra strength to step up to the crown.
And that, my dear readers, wraps up my blog posts on the return of Miss International 2016 to the Philippines.
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
