I practically cornered Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves for this interview. It wasn’t an ambush move on my part since the time difference between Manila and Las Vegas can be very tricky in terms of tracking her down or if she is ready to answer my questions and the like. But having made dedicated features for both Kylie Verzosa and Jennifer Hammond by now, I really need to come up with something special for her.
And since we somehow move on the same wavelength whenever we chat, Nicole delivered all her answers via voice messages! So here now is my exclusive one-on-one with our Queen in Las Vegas with juicy sound bytes from her end:
Norman: Nicole dear, I owe you at least one good blog feature. So since you’re in one of your idle minutes-before-sleeping moments, please sum up the competition so far. I need to get inspiration from your statements. 😘 please pretty please?
Norman: What are the best parts of your days in Vegas?
Norman: How about the support of Filipinos and Fil-Ams there?
Norman: How do the candidates or organizers look at Miss Philippines in general?
Norman: Thank you, Nicole!
But wait! I continued to ask her more questions! Hahahaha Her roomie, Prissila Howard of Peru, was still showering so I took advantage of her availability
Norman: By the way, have you personally met Mr. Nawatt Itsiragrisil, the owner of MGI?
Norman: So would you say that fate will be the deciding factor for the winner?
Norman: So preparation-wise, will you be up there come Finals Night? 😊
“Like a rocketship” I really love how Nicole summarized her chances in the competition. She knows fully well how to put her strategies in motion, and is confident that she is doing a good job of keeping the interest of individuals who matter.
P.S. I also asked who her best friends are among the ladies, and she replied by text: “Peru, Scotland, Uruguay, Luxembourg, Brazil, Egypt, Malaysia, just to name a few…hahaha
Good night, Tito Norms!”
