Here now is another dozen of contenders for the right to represent our country in Mr. Gay World 2017.
Peter Leary Brown
Peter is a bachelor from General Santos City. He is half Spanish and half Bisaya. Most people knew him as Sycris Brown. He was a grand finalist in the hit segment of It’s Showtime’s I Am Pogay contest, Wherein, he landed in third place. He loves to travel and meet different people and to experience a myriad of cultures. He is involved in a charitable organization that helps the less fortunate people. His family is always been the inspiration of his life.
Erick Jay Dario
Erick Jay is a dog lover and proud to say a “mamas boy”, he is currently working as operations manager in one of the BPO company, he is also an event photographer, videographer and charcoal painter, in fact he already made 2 movies when he is in Taiwan for their bible study group presentation where he is the director, script writer and production designer.
Garek resides in Sta. Rosa. He is a Junior Stylist in a huge salon. He is also a gym instructor. He believes that allowing people to be more confident in enhancing there body physic would motivate them to live a fit and healthy life.
Omar, a Maranaw, is a writer, speaker, and a financial analyst. All these talents were honed by the fact that he is an AB English graduate. He used to be a Disc Jockey for GMA Campus Radio and he is an internationally licensed stockbroker. He loves writing, singing, watching movies as his pass time.
Ronald is currently a government computer operator analyst at the local city of Valenzuela and officially designated at the Office of the Chief of Police of the Valenzuela City Police station. He already finished his two-year program computer technology and now continuing his bachelors degree in Public Administration while serving the people.
Mark Errol Casilihan
Mark resides in this ‘tiger city’ who speaks fluent Ilocano. He works as a Division Manager in a real state company. He is the provider for his family. He also travels abroad for both business and leisure. He loves playing badminton and has a delight for cooking as well. He had several acting gigs and modelling stints in the past.
Gian Henderson Liangco
The youngest contender, a Chinese-Filipino decent who is passionate in achieving great success in life. Born and raised here in the Philippines with 2 siblings. An Advertising Arts graduate from the University of Santo Tomas, this man hopes to find his ultimate break in show business and practice his passion through television and commercials. This Manila boy also has a sincere heart by involving himself especially in different charity outreach events and social works. Finding his inspiration through the help of God, he was able to focus of the betterment of himself and also through empowering others.
Ian Roy Jamison Paderanga
As a BPO Manager and Engagement Activities Head, Ian is proud to say that his hometown is tourism-friendly and a peaceful place. Joining Mr. Gay World Philippines is the primary step so he could promote his advocacy for peace and unity in Mindanao. According to him that; acceptance, regardless of sexuality and preferences, is a very big step to getting treated equally and fairly. He knows that he can make a difference by showing others that any members of the LGBT community can do great things in the society.
Erwin Javier Ostos
Patrick is into online buy and sell of pets, gadget and motors part owned by his cousin. He loves dealing with people and meet new friends. Good feedback and great customer service experience makes him delighted.
Ron is the eldest among his 2 siblings. His parents passed away when he was 10. Despite his lost, he remained formidable and determined to succeed. At the early age, Ron managed to be independent. He worked so hard to help his siblings to finish school. Despite these responsibilities at the very young age, he still manages to indulge himself into sports, like Swimming, Volleyball, Badminton and Table Tennis where he excels. Ron’s advocacy is Gender Equality. For him, gender equality is not just about acceptance and social justice. It’s about respect, fairness and love regardless of sexual orientation. Ron believes that, when there is gender equality, there is understanding.
John Bench Ortiz
Bench, from Tayug, is a licensed nutritionist & dietitian and is currently working as a fitness professional and dance instructor in a well-known fitness center in the country. He trains multiple celebrities and pageant royalties such as MJ Lastimosa and Christian Lacsamana. He loves listening to music and his dream is to become an international model someday and hoping to have his own fitness center in the future.
Jerome is a proud native of Rizal province, raised by a Visayan mother and a Chinese father. He finished Nursing at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and is a licensed nurse, furthering his caring nature. He currently works as a Human Resources Talent Acquisition Manager in a multinational bank. He participates in the company’s various CSR activities and plays an active role in its PRIDE Group, promoting gender diversity and sensitivity in the workplace. An active volunteer at LoveYourself, a non-profit HIV-AIDS awareness organization, working as a counselor. Jerome champions SWAG — Self-Worth Among Gay men and women. He believes that having self-worth will enable every gay man and woman to create healthy and productive relationships with one another.
