CJ’s determination paid off. And the short hair could actually have been the positive kicker or perhaps her gift of gab. Regardless, she is now Miss Global Philippines 2016 and our representative to Miss Global 2016 which, according to my sources, will be hosted here in Manila once more later in the year. I am actually very happy that she won, just as I thought. Here is part of her FB update:
“I remember telling my dad earlier this year that I had been having a strong intuition that 2016 will be big for me. I just never thought it would be as big as this–winning the #MissGlobalPhilippines2016 pageant and becoming the first ever short-haired Filipina to win top title in a national pageant. This is a sweet victory not just for me but also for every single person who believed in me and in what I stood for.
Enjoy your reign, CJ. Truly, change came with your short hair and all. But after all has been said and done, it is your substance as a woman of today that will shape your personal advocacies and make a positive impact as a beauty titleholder. 🙂
