Binibini 19 Maria Lina Prongoso
Your Binibini 19 Maria Lina Prongoso, one of the tallest in this year’s line-up at 5’10”, is doing Iriga City proud with her participation in the nationals. She was once a Miss Bicolandia 2nd Runner-Up who is now eyeing to capture one of the crowns at stake. And at the rate she is performing, people are taking notice of her proud and statuesque stance that can easily make her stand out in group activities. What does she have to say about her stint – more than halfway through – in Bb. Pilipinas 2016?
To be one of the Binibining Pilipinas candidate is a precious journey experience, It’s like I am one of the precious gems in the Universe. To be with the candidates and BPCI organization during training rehearsals, photoshoots, sponsor visits and charity day is truly overwhelming. With our day-to-day activities, I learned to be more determined, optimistic and compassionate and to always cherish the laughter and stories we usually share among other Binibinis. At the end of the day Im always looking forward to what lies ahead of us.
I also asked Lina to answer our three questions in the Easter Q&A and here are her thoughts:
What does Easter Sunday mean to you as an individual?
Easter Sunday is a time to rejoice the love of God, to renew our hope and to rekindle our Faith. It’s the hope that this season enfolds everyone to fill the soul with a new start of life Thus, let us continue to cultivate and share the blessings of love, hope and faith.
Having been part of the regional beauty pageants in the past what are the advantages that these experiences give you as a Binibini in all your public appearances and pre-pageant activities?
Joining regional beauty pageants prepared me in my journey towrads Binibining Pilipinas. These previous stints built up my attitude to exude confidence charm and poise and be able to share my experiences.
If there are three good things you could wish for three other binibinis close to you what would this wishes be and why?
1. To Win- the three major titles and to represent the Philippines with Great Pride
2. For Good health- to not just impress but inspire, motivate and empower women and sustain their advocacies.
3. And to be timeless- to remain beautiful and worth admiring.
Binibini 19 is hoping that she is one of the potential Bb. Pilipinas titleholders BPCI is looking for. She has the commitment to perform and deliver. And she is willing to set aside in favor of the chance to bring pride to the country in international competitions.

When I made my top picks for the best glam and swimsuit shots, I was kind of surprised that Maria Lina made it to my two lists. She is one of the reasons why I am making drastic changes on my current choices. With good projection and softer styling, she could easily make it to the semifinal round. Good luck, Miss Prongoso!

You mentioned that she is 5’10” but the Binibining Pilipinas Official Facebook Page mentioned that her height is only 5’8″. ano po ba talaga ang totoo? Si Kylie Verzosa din akala namin 5’9″ kase last year yan ang inilagay na height niya. ngayon naging 5’7″ nalang. parang ang liliit naman ata nila kung ganun.

Kung ganun ay may mali talagang nangyayari sa BPCI… Pero tayo ay tagasubaybay lamang na kung anuman ang mga abnormal na nangyayari sa loob ng BPCI ay palakpakan nlang natin kasi kung punahin natin sila ay tayo pa ang magiging masama… Pilipinas, kailan ka pa babangon… Abnormal na ba talaga ang Pilipinas 🙂 lol

She is the taller version of Lian Andrea Ramos. She’s only 23 yo, so if she’ll not win a crown she’s a good investment for 2017-2018. Same with Bb. 25-Angelica Lopes 20 yo, Bb. 13-Joanna Eden-19 yo, Bb. 12-Edjelyn Gamboa-23 yo, and Bb. 15-Kristine Estoque-22 yo…if they will not win a crown.

Ang ganda ganda ganda niya sa glam at swimsuit photos niya. Parang ibang tao. Nung una akala ko si Ms. Alita AKA Baby Laila yung sa first photo siya pala.
She is tall, very smart and beautiful. I guess she got confused with the question “If there are three good things you could wish for three other binibinis close to you what would this wishes be and why?” . No she’s not confused.Its just that she did not mention the names of the three ladies close to her. But i understood that she wishes crowns for the three binibinis close to her. Crowns, health and timeless beauty.
Its a good answer because she kept to herself the names of three ladies. Thereby avoiding conflicts and favoritism with the rests of binibinis.
Oo nga noh!! At first, I thought na nalito siya and she wished for three things that she wanted as a Binibini. But she did say “three major titles” and also “their advocacies” so I think you’re right. Pwedeng she just chose not to disclose the names of the three girls.
