We all know by now that Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach has been in demand with some of the sponsors of Miss Universe 2015. Here’s one of her promotional appearances for Chi Hair Care where she was used for one of its “Get the Look” segments online, specifically on how to get that elegant updo.

  3. Pia won’t be an MU favorite if she is not tasked to do these pre-pageant activities. So I have a great feeling she will do very well during the finals tomorrow night in Vegas !
    I can just imagine the noise level that will break everyone’s ear drums inside Planet Hollywood !

    • Psychology of trolls is they feed on your stress and pain. They feel good if they see that they get in to you. It’s a sadistic intention. I’d say ignore, don’t even read their posts coz it will be an endless trail of negativity. They’re like alipunga, the more you get stress out the more it gets worse.

  8. Miss USA, Haiti, Mexico and DR are kinda expose on some US news Channels. There was one clip of Pia when doing photoshoot with cross-eyed colombia. I notice yung mga taft 5 are really expose a lot in US channels like Janine back then.

  9. Vietnam and Thailand – best Asian candidates this year. Vindication is mine Monday morning. No hate towards Pia . Just speaking my opinion. World peace !

    • The beauty of free speech is we can call out stupid opinions. Thailand’s chin is DISTRACTING. And what was up with that orange make up in the prelims?!

      Vietnam is a contender, yes. But Vietnam’s walk was so 1990’s, and don’t get me started with that shoulder. Also, I know Nick Verreos loved her gown, but honestly, it was costumey and doesn’t really befit the status of being Ms. Universe.

      Pia is the best Asian candidate this year. Together with France and Dominican Republic, I really feel like these are the top 3 contenders.

  18. I think what we should do now is keep quiet (ignore the negative vibes ) and just support Pia. As ive said before , malakas makamalas si ______ _____ ; sa kung baket di pa ” i block ” ni Mr. Norman Tinio.

    I can take the critics and rants of some “anti Pia ” ; but this “creature ” ako ang nahihiya sa kanya .

  19. Hi Norman, please please please post. Got this from the MU WEBSITE. Baka lang may masayang na votes.

    Each cumulative vote of all the viewers combined will be equally weighted in proportion to the corresponding vote of the live telecast judges.

    During the swimsuit competition, viewers will be able to give each of the fifteen (15) eligible contestants one (1) whole number score per device ranging from 1-10, in real time as they compete on stage.

    During the evening gown competition, viewers will be able to give each of the ten (10) eligible contestants one (1) whole number score per device ranging from 1-10, in real time as they compete on stage.

    During the final question round, viewers will be able to give each of the five (5) eligible contestants one (1) whole number score per device ranging from 1-10, in real time after each contestant completes her answer.

    After the final look viewers will be able to vote one (1) time by selecting the one (1) contestant they wish to see become Miss Universe.

    Follow the on-air instructions to cast your vote.

    Only votes that comply with the instructions will be counted.

    There is a limit of one (1) vote per device or per Facebook account. I

    • Ganito siguro ang magandang gawin dyan kung gusto natin manalo si Pia. Palaging 10 ang dapat score ni Pia at 1 pont lang ang ibigay sa iba.

  22. It was only now that I got the time to watch the full preliminary round. Below are my picks:

    1. Dominican Republic – Very sweet-looking face, one of the best during swimsuit round.
    2. Italy – Still my wildcard bet. Stunning and effortless. I did not like the gown though. You would also notice her slightly crooked smile, but her stunning face makes up for it.
    3. Belgium – Also my wildcard bet. I just love her face. If She, along with Italy, only were trained well before hand they’d level up.
    4. Chile – A strong contender.
    5. Australia – She just has to be in the list. But her walk and overall impact is weak. I thought she’d have more spunk on stage.
    6. Peru – Obviously with the best symmetry, but like Australia, weak impact for me.
    7. Philippines – The most queenly and elegant. I just hope they change the hairdo for the swimsuit round. And also, I could not wait for her signature twirl-stop-pout-alluring stare (the one she did during Bb. Pilipinas finale) on the competition itself.
    8. USA – Classic blonde beauty with a charming smile. She seems like a very nice person too.
    9. Vietnam – She also has to be in the list because you can’t help but notice her. For me, it isn’t a positive sort of attention as I am not a fan of a beauty that “exerts a lot of effort”. She is charming though.
    10. Venezuela – Again, just-has-to-be-on-the-list girl with nothing special.
    11. Paraguay – Charming and looks really “skilled”, and reminds me of Bianca Manalo and Amy Austria for some reasons.
    12. Kosovo – Reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor.
    13. Brazil – I love her very relaxed aura. She seems like the girl who never gets angry, I don’t know why.
    14. Poland – Beautiful face.
    15. Georgia – Doll-like face but has this strange smile and posture.

    While below are the girls who I think should be ranked higher, if only they did the following:

    1. Bulgaria – I recall, this girl’s length of gown distracted me. Parang, wow putol? Beautiful face, wrong styling.
    2.Hungary – if she would grow her eyebrows and soften it, straighten up her posture and relax her shoulders, she’d be one of my list. She even reminds me of Natalia Glebova.
    3. Israel – What a sweet angelic face but disheartening gown and timid walk!
    4. Russia – Distinct features, the opposite of Hungary, should make her eyebrows’ arches higher. If she were only more relaxed with a more natural smile, she’d be in my list. But she looked really awkward on stage.

    And of course, let me comment again regarding Pia — mata pa lang, panalo na. NONE of the contenders could top that.

      • Oh, i actually did forget her. She’s supposed to be there, but because she is forgettable, i really do not mind her absence lol

        She’s like Miss Puerto Rico for me during Ara’s time. People felt threatened, but in the end she did not make it.

  23. Nakakalungkot naman, kapwa Pilipino, nanghahatak pababa. Pwede namang sabihin in a constructive manner kung may hindi ka gusto diba?

    Si Pia ang reyna natin. Suportahan natin siya. Kahit mas maganda ka pa sa kanya (which I highly doubt), wala kang karapatang siraan siya dahil nasa Las Vegas siya at ikaw ay nasa bahay, nanonood lang.

  26. I love what Jake Horan ( The Gents Chronicles: Jake Horan’s top 15 picks) wrote about Pia who is his choice for Miss Universe. As an after thought, he said that he was completely distracted, in a good way, by Pia’s bossoms during the SS round. Any red blooded male would be distracted, too. But, of course, Jack, Angelo, and Basil are all queers so they know nothing about what beauty is in a Filipina.

    • Not really. When you pay a huge amount of money on a ticket for a concert, or a pageant (MU especially), why the hell would u sit there quietly? Nag aksaya ka pa ng lecheng US Dollars?? Walang basagan ng trip. When you spend that much money, you have to make that experience worth it! Tanga lang ang magbabayad ng ganung kamahal na ticket tapos hindi mag eeffort magcheer sa manok nila. Manood na lang kayo sa bahay punyeta.

    • it’s a freaking pageant for crying out loud?!! Have you ever been at a sports event, a concert, a music festival? Most people do not sit down especially when they’re far from the stage…. This is not a freaking movie theatre… You stand up when you gotta stand up.. Pretty sure the pinoys only raised their flags when Pia was on stage… I doubt they raised it throughout the entire show.. Tell your friend to return her ticket, by no means he/she did NOT deserve to be there.

    • I have read it abet, and Pia is Miss Universe in that thread. I also have read some forumers’ final picks, and Pia is always at the top. It only means that so many foreigners are betting on her as the winner for this edition. I just wonder why some Filipinos still cannot accept the fact that Pia has a very high chance of getting the crown, with or without the votes. Such crabbies…

  39. Guys, do you have videos of Pia during rehearsals? I observed that in the past years like Janine, she has been called on a few times as one of the top 15, or top 3 for Q&A. Would be interesting to see that.
