You have got to watch the 4-minute video below that I recorded of Miss Universe Philippines 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach during her send-off earlier. She was asked by a member of the Press about the long journey to where she is at now, and she came up with a spontaneous answer that showed both her emotional and determined self. Her expressiveness led to more than a few quotable quotes which you can check out yourself.

    I was not able to watch Janicel’s interview when she said “Kaya kong talunin Kahit anong ganda ng kalaban” so I do not know the context of that statement. BUT I AM PRETTY SURE, she was ASKED about her chances of winning and how she sized up the other delegates …..and that was her answer.

    Now dear, compare this to Pia’s case:

    The nation was reeling from the stunning loss of Manny Pacquiao and there was that gloomy feeling across the nation that Sunday (?) afternoon. NOBODY (as in NOBODY) ASKED Pia about her chances of winning. In fact Pia was not at all in everyone’s psyche that day..and Lo and Behold.. there she was twitting (riding on – – insensitively if I may add) to the nation’s woe. In politics, they call it “EPAL”.

    I am sure ALL our beauty queens all taught to be confident and already claim the crown and have a ready, template answer that shows confidence. And Janicel in all her vernacular-speaking capacity is basically saying that when she WAS ASKED. Even that Guidotti girl when asked the chances of winning a back to back win (no chance at all) said “It’s a challenge but NOT IMPOSSIBLE”.

    I only mentioned that Pia tweet incident because I was reminded of it during her 4-minute send off speech. Watch it again and see how she sounded so….self-centered.

    If you still don’t get it, call me..let’s have coffee and bash Janicel to death.

        To summarize and to “dumb it down”,

        I think what Dave is trying to say is that you are both very condescending and bias when it comes to Pia as a whole and most of the people here are basically, “sick of your shit”? lol End of story.

        The fact of the matter is that you both have it out for Pia. You both always highlight Pia’s flaws so aggressively without any consideration. What’s worse is that you both point out the negatives in a diplomatic way to make what you say sound polite when it is clear you both resent her. It is Patronizing.

        You both read into so much of Pia’s flaws that you are forgetting that the very person who is going to represent us is only human. What you both expect is a representative who ticks what your ideal candidate should be. AKA Janicel or Ann Colis.

        Trying to prove that your opinions are completely valid (which you both do A LOT) is one thing but ensuring that everybody on this forum knows that she is FAR from the best candidate to represent us is another. Thomas, there in lays your constant back lash in trying to prove to everyone that your intellect surpasses everyone else’s. If you were truly “that intelligent” then the focus should be on achieving positive results. Nothing else. For many, working with what we already have (Pia) and all of her entirety is the only focus.

        Angelo Reyes, is a degenerate with a whole different story. lol

        We get that you don’t like her and we understand that you don’t want her to succeed because of some personal vendetta (that is what it seems now) but I think what most of us here want or hope is to just be happy that we have someone like Pia, imperfect and beautiful, to represent what our candidate embodies. And that is all of us. Pinoys.

        You’re both debbie downers and it is with that attitude, we will lose. For Pia, Win or lose, the fact that she did her best and the very thought that her supporters were by her side on her journey to the crown will make her feel like a winner in and of itself. Everybody else on this forum (supporters of Pia) questions both your inability to comprehend that.

        All we can only do now is support Pia.

    • Watched the interview a while ago. I didn’t like it to be very honest… What happened to her? She wasn’t really like that before (pertaining to the way she spoke). You can be top of the world, but our previous queens have proven, from Venus down to MJ, that you don’t have to “sound” so arrogant just to “seem” confident. Bring back the old Pia. 😥

      I like her recent no-makeup look photo, but this interview disappointed me.

Kidding aside, I actually didn’t find it s arrogant, to me it came off as trying to sound spontaneous, witty, and funny which she pulled off to a certain degree at the end and she did say before that she was close with Tito Boy so she got comfortable (talking about the way she leaned to the chair and her gestures) and maybe too comfortable that it was mistaken as arrogance. It was a moment of being caught off-guard ksi nga she’s close to Tito Boy. All bias aside I really think that the interview wasn’t as bad as people are making it out to be, Boy Abunda asked her questions and she answered them directly and straight to the point, but of course this is only my observation. One thing I’m sure of though is that Queen P is trying to keep her morale high lahat nman ng magcocompete that are aiming for the win should do that even our past MU reps, sabi nga ni MJto keep her morale and confidence up during the competition she kept saying to hersel “Ang ganda ko” whenever she’s in front of the mirror which actually suits the Motto(?) of the pageant which is Confidently Beautiful.

  25. I never took seriously the comments of this foul-mouthed cretin called Angelo Reyes about the butt of Pia. But the more I thought about it, and based on the three videos I’ve seen of Pia in bathing suit modeling , Pia actually never turned around to show her ass-ets. Paatras sya lumakad pabalik. I’ve noticed this “move” from her in at least three videos. Too much of a coincidence. Is Pia hiding something ? Bagsak ba pwet nya? May stretched marks ba? Maiitim ba ? Did she have something done which became botched ?

    Heaven forbid that aside from the mouth and chin, there is something that she should manage.

    Can anyone please post any recent video of her in bathing suit showing her butt?

    • Thomas dahlinn that is exactly my fear and based on some pictures (side views), her behind is somewhat protruding sideways, something like they have injected something at the wrong place. Maybe Angelo knew this for a while now 😔 and oh that video of her in that printed swinsuit is horrible from the waist down…her legs are scary actually. Sorry po!

        About the hips. She did so many leg workouts to achieve that if u know the basics in gym training. I dont know kung napansin mo when she was fat she already had a huge pelvic surface area thus the flattering hips.

        Now if only u can show us the pictures you allegedly confer as to how pia has a ptrotruding behind then again World peace is in order.

  28. Ok OK yesterday I just wished P.W. good luck and I meant it mainly because of her perseverance and effort and simply because she is our representative but at the same time, my shoulders literally dropped to the floor when I saw the send off pics and watched her video.

    I have done everything to figure out not only what could have been her traits to win the MUP crown but also the “dyosa beauty” that many of the readers here are raving about but unfortunately, I couldn’t find the answers. But then there’s this side of me saying Jeremi dahlinnn maybe you just don’t like her or you are just giving her tough love. Then came the send-off photos and the video which literally severed the last thread of hope in me (not to mention that horrendous video of her in a pyjama inspired printed swimsuit). That video of her talking is just one of the myriad proofs that English proficiency should never be a basis of a person’s depth, soul and intelligence.

    Having said all of these, I sincerely wish her all the best and I would be very very happy if she makes the top 20 (which I doubt).

        Nothing is out of the ordinary in this video. I don’t see any “protrusion on the side…like something was injected”. It’s called hip bones, people. With how she was walking, of course it would “protrude” because she has big hips. She’s shapely, like MJ. Watch MJ’s video in Miss Universe; it’s the same thing. People can be so hypercritical.

  33. i agree theres something about pia thats “trying hard” esp sa its showtime when she volunteered to do the catwalk. medyo kulang sa likeability factor. medyo kulang sa charm? or sobra? not sure but theres something wrong. nevertheless i hope her chattiness would work to her advantage and not turn the people off. i remember janine tugonon in miss u. may nagsuggest na sabihan si janine to be more approachable like miss puerto rico who won a lot of friends and was even the one to beat pa nga but look waley even sa semis.

    And I really feel bad to be one of the few (Jeremi dahllinnnnn…) who offer differing views in a forum full of pro-Pias. I would like to think that somehow our delegate and her handler can learn a thing or five from these minority voices:

    Here goes : (inhale…).

    1) I agree with one commenter about the amount of make-up just piled up on her face at the send-off. It was almost cake-y. She looks matured. I said it before and I stand by my opinion that minimal make-up becomes her.

    2) Her hairstyle / make up and probably diet further accentuated her less than flattering features. Mouth and chin. I will not elaborate since this has been discussed in the past. =)

    3) But most of all, I feel that she missed out on being a remarkable beauty queen in her 4-minute speech. It was very telling. She was basically talking about I, me and myself. I fully understand her sufferings and sacrifices made the past 3 years and I think it was good to incorporate these. But there was something lacking…..depth? greatness? magnanimity of spirit… For me it bordered on “look at me, I finally did it, my own send off, after three years of suffering and I live alone” type. It was inspirational for the first two minutes but became a humble-brag after awhile. The same feeling I felt when she said “wag kayo mag alala, babawi tayo!”.. It kinda reeks of… arrogance and selfishness.

    A little magnanimity of spirit please.

    • I am also one of the few dissenting voices. She is just too manufactured and lacked that spark that sets a winner apart. She tries hard… Maybe too hard and it shows. She really needs to lighten up and tone it down. Make it lighthearted and fun! She is also coming across as self centered.
      Now for the styling … It makes her look matronly. Her make up is just too heavy. She looks witchy. Her strong chin and nose needs softening. The hair is abysmal.
      Good luck Pia. I hope she makes top 10 at least.

        I was not able to watch Janicel’s interview when she said that so I do not know the context. BUT I AM PRETTY SURE, she was ASKED about her chances of winning.and how she sized up the other delegates …..and that was her answer.

        Now dear, compare this to Pia’s case:

        The nation was reeling from the stunning loss of Manny Pacquiao and there was that gloomy feeling across the nation that Sunday (?) afternoon. NOBODY (as in NOBODY) ASKED Pia about her chances of winning. In fact Pia was not at all in everyone’s psyche that day..and Lo and Behold.. there she was twitting (riding on – – insensitively if I may add) to the nation’s woe. In politics, they call it “EPAL”.

        I am sure ALL our beauty queens all taught to be confident and already claim the crown and have a ready, template answer that shows confidence. And Janicel in all her vernacular-speaking capacity is basically saying that when she WAS ASKED. Even that Guidotti girl when asked the chances of winning a back to back win (no chance at all) said “It’s a challenge but NOT IMPOSSIBLE”.

        If you still don’t get it, call me..let’s have coffee and bash Janicel to death.

        I just watched Ms. World Canada’s interview on CNN a while back at the HK International Airport where she was not allowed to continue her journey to Sanya. Based on that very short interview, the girl has something between her ears.

    • Julia will not bite the hand that feeds her. Expect China to place high or win this time around. Julia eliminates the swimsuit portion proclaiming Ms. World to be “above” that but will bow down to money even though it’s tainted with human rights blood. Oh well… I guess each pageant needs controversy… won’t effect her pageant, we’ll watch it and see who she hand picked to win and life goes on. Sigh…

      • Just because there is injustice everywhere doesn’t mean that when the opportunity arises to do something, say something, you shouldn’t because injustice is everywhere. Julia is given the opportunity to stand behind her beauty with a purpose slogan and stand with Miss Canada. Doesn’t matter if she places or not but show her your support by letting her participate. By not doing so, her “convictions” behind her slogan is nill.

        Not to worry, I enjoy watching MW and have enjoyed so more than once. Slogans are, in most cases, just that, a slogan. MW is a beauty pageant and a chance for us to support and cheer our representative and hope for the best. Anything after that, more than that, is icing on the cake.

    • If China can deny entry to a contestant of Julia Morley’s pageant on account of her public rebuke of the host’s human rights record, I just dread to think what can happen to the Philippines’ candidate whose country officially is at odds with the host’s bullying tactics and island-grabbing activities in South China Sea. I just hope Hillarie can still place among the Top 10!
