  1. In less than twenty four hours, the new Miss Grand International will be proclaimed. I sure hope that Kimberly’s stars align on her favour. Fingers firmly crossed!

Above video shows the opening of the program. It actually starts at 6:00 and I see a good sign, Kim stood at the very centre front row when all contestants were in the stage in evening wear at 7:10. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. BTW i saw Ali Forbes’ pic during the prelims.. pansin ko lang, yung gown na suot niya, hindi ba parang kamag anak ng gown ni Bea nung MI? hehehe

  3. nice performance. though she looks shorter sa evening gown niya, she looks gorgeous naman on her red gown. bumagay sa skin tone niya, love the pag ikot sa evening gown i hope makasama siya sa semifinalists.

weird lang ng background music/s hehe

  4. Mga nagustuhan ko:
    Puerto Rico
    Slovak republic
    South Sudan

  5. Hongkong- kamukha nung nanalo sa Asia’s next top model
Ivory coast – natakot ako sa kanta
Venezuela – ganun ang mukha ni miss earth

  6. I love underdogs! Go Kimberly! It’s like rooting for a Chinese man attempting to sexually satisfy a woman in porn! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€
    Joke eh.

  7. Not bad. I love her EG twirl center stage. So natural and effortless, just like Dayana Mendoza at Universe 2008. Not trying too hard like Peru right before her.

Swimsuit could have used some improvement but her and JDV are obviously still learning the ropes.

She’s young and can probably mature better into her face, and body. She’s got the confidence and presence already. Maybe this isn’t the last we’ll see of her.

BTW, is that her sister in the audience with her parents? Ganda!

(The production looks to be good. Much better than cheapy looking Miss Earth which just tries to do too much with cheap resources. Sometimes less is more. Especially when you have less to begin with. And yes, agree with the poster above that you don’t need all those old women on stage passing out 329 sponsor awards. Or the old men either. Especially when they are 5’1 – 5’4 and the poor 5’9 – 6’0 glamazons have to bend down to get sashed Miss Unilever Body Wash or something Maarte and corny).

    • Kim’s performance would have looked better if she looks at the audience from left to right initially after her 1st established pose on stage. The open mouth smile would have looked good if done slower, more natural and don’t leave it hanging open like Peru.. LOL Paolo Ballesteros does that perfectly Hahaha

  8. kim is so good in evening gown while a diva in swimsuit.. it is a sure slot for her in top 5..

  9. I can’t blame MGI for copying MU. In fact , I applaud them for doing so. Beauty pageants are extremely boring. i only stay as long as our rep is in the running. Miss U Miss USA and Miss America are the only ones worth watching in addition to BP. Forget abt MW MI and ME.

  10. I think I downloaded a virus… Everytime I open the link to the pageant.. A video of a long haired girl in white comes out… Sadako ang peg… muntik ko na maibato phone ko! Grrrr

    • Hay, minumulto ka C2F. ๐Ÿ˜„

Sorry I know its not a joke and you must not feel like laughing but I just can’t help it. Hope you phone is ok.

      • Already cleared the data on my youtube app… its gone now… but yeah, Cambodia looked like the same girl with a better gown.. ๐Ÿ˜€

  11. Cheap copycat of Ms Universe but I commend them for a beautiful stage. The venue is too huge for this pagent in its infancy. Trying to be a Lamborghini when it is in fact a cheap Volks. The candidates are mostly so-so, with the exception of Puerto Rico, Sweden and Philippines.

    • Really? My thoughts were WOW! Hats off to the organizers for presenting pageant fans a wonderful pageant and to think this is only their sophomore year. I dont think Miss U has a patent on how to conduct the competition.

Anyone remember that other pageant earlier this year where Myanmar won? Compare that to this one. Or even Miss Earth where they include all this sponsors or old ladies crowning the winners that makes me cringe to watch and think Oh no. I am not dissing you Ryan. I must have low standards. Either that or perhaps maybe some people become unreasonable demanding. Just saying. ๐Ÿ˜€

      • The first time I saw the stage, my mind flashed back to one Ms Universe shows couple of years ago. You know that kind of originality and beauty stick in your mind forever. That is why I said it is a copycat. They knew they copied it albeit different approach. But you know that is forgivable but you can sense how the people behind this pageant can’t think better except copying. If you conduct yourself like that where are you are heading 5 or 10 years down the road? I wanna be reasonable too by saying why not another world pageant, in all honesty I want this MGI to succeed believe me but one thing I truly look down on with contempt is imitation. Just saying. ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. super linaw ng video ha. kelan kaya magkakaroon ang pinas ng ganyang presentation.

  13. Ang daming maganda. Standouts for me are Colombia, Sweden and Puerto Rico. Kimberly did great and realistically, I hope she gets top 5. I still want her to win but that might be too much of an expectation.

    • Napansin ko nga. She looks like she took some happy pills. But then again, who can blame her? She was so happy just to be included. Props to her for truly enjoying her pageant experience. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  14. Puerto is aiming back to back. Ds girl should send in MU.
Hinde ko nakita si thailand so my top 2 will be puerto rico and philippines, will review the video tomorrow.

    • I think Thailand will make Top 5 for obvious reason. She has pretty face but that nose- bakit di nya pintapyas? Its too distracting.

  15. It’s good to see that Kimberly’s family is there to support her. Their presence would definitely boost her confidence particularly on the finale. And last year’s winners were also there.

  16. That Indoor Stadium Huamark is huge for the event. The bleacher is totally empty and even the middle section is not full. I thought the Thais are also pageant fanatics?!? I guess I’m wrong… ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

    • Thais are more into sports than beauty pageants. This kind of competition may draw an audience but not as much as volleyball and football can. Plus, ticket price is expensive. Spending 400B or 520Php is not worth the hassle of beating the traffic going to the venue which is along one of the busiest roads in BKK and adjacent to the biggest university in terms of student population.

Btw, my Thai partner said Ms. Philippines is pretty. ๐Ÿ™‚

  17. Sobrang gayang Gaya talaga Nila Ang format ng Miss unvierse. Don’t you think MU won’t sue them for imitating their competition format?

Kim looks so good on EG. Her SS presentation is just ok for me. Hope she makes it all the way till the end.
