image Perhaps, I was expecting more in terms of definition.

Perhaps, I wanted images that would wow me like crazy.

Perhaps, I would have been more pleased with a better set of headshots.

Perhaps, I am just a spoiled photo-brat.

Oh my, I don’t want to dwell on perhaps.

Perhaps, my phablets and tablets do not give justice to the actual vivid photographs that would look best on my laptop.

I will review them again tomorrow.

I am just so darn sleepy right now.

P.S. Can someone tell me where #10 Grace Ann Bautista was when these shots were taken? It distracts me to see just a head silhouette in her space above.

  2. These photos are even worse than last year. One can only imagine how horrible next years headshot would be. I can even take better photos using my nokia 5110 phone! lol 😅😅😅😱😱😱😱😱😱

  4. Nakaka bother styling din ng shoot na to. Even their hair, parang ang limp na basa basa..parang hindi properly styled. The earrings are horrible too. Parang pang promortion pa – Japan. Nasan yung class?

  5. Isa pa to sa mga Brand Management fails na nakakainis. Ewan. Hina high blood ako pag nakakakita ng mga ganito.

  9. Nakakaloka to. si Lorraine Kendrickson may anggulong maganda meron din parang hindi. ako lang ba? yoko masyado magsabi ng nega pero nakaka ilang photo na ako nakikita hindi kasing level nung post before na parang fashion photos nya. styling lang ba?

      • Oh shoot veneers ba to? Ay kaya pala…I could not put my finger on how I would describe what exactly i didn’t like about her, Thanks Closer2Fame. This make more sense na. Si Kris J. diba pina veneers din nila? Sana wag na. Lakas maka fake.

  10. OMG. wala ba silang photographer at iphone ang ginamit? CHAR. i think the headshots are okay… the post processing / editing is the culprit. hay!

  13. Bakit kaya malabo?… Did Miss Cory Q approve this on purpose or she needs to get new prescription glasses?

  14. Pasensya na, 24 shots lang ang film na nabili ng photographer, may libre lang ng isang shot kaya 25 shots na. Nakalimutan din nya magpalit ng bagong AA battery kaya blurred ang mga kuha. Sorry sa number 10, bumili ka ng isa pang film na 12 shots para sa yo.

  15. Masakit sa mata ! Halos hindi na makita ang mga face sa sobrang puti! Mumu ang peg! Ung photographer itanong mo sa sarili mo kung dapat kang maging photographer? Proud ka ba sa ginawa mo? Alam mo ba may mga diosa sa mga kandidata na naging modelo na ng mga ibat ibang sikat na magazine ng bansa! Tapos ganyan lang gagawin mo? Mag iba kana ng propesyon hindi bagay sau! Kulang ka sa talent! Sinayang mo ang ganda ng mga front runners! Kung sino man may gawa na yan! Isa kang malaking disappointment! Ano ba may Megan Young na tau! Nakakahiya sa mga kapit bahay! Naghahamon na sila!!! Tapos eto tau picture lang hindi pa maayos!!!

  17. I’m sure this disappointing move is just a tactic of MWPO to get more attention as they are aware that it will cause an instant uprise and rage amongst pageant fanatics and followers.

    Whoever is the mastermind of this, it worked but we are not buying it. It’s HIGH DEFINITION ERA and what you did is effing disastrous and unrealistic! 😦

    Let us not waste precious time, CHANGE THEM NOW!!!

  18. akala ko sa pc ko lang ung pagkamalabo ng pics sa iba din pla.hehhe…pro kahit mjo malabo ang headshots maganda at angat pa rin si valerie sa kanilang lahat.

    Goodness! Even the ates and kuyas at “Kodak! Rush 1×1 and Passport Photos” shops could shoot better portraits!!!! Nakakaloka. Parang joke.

  20. If I didn’t see Valerie Weigmann here,di ko talaga aakalain na national pageant ito.This is horrible for a Miss World-Philippines finals.

  23. A HEAD SHOT is a compelling and accurate rendition of a subject in the form of a photograph. It delivers the photographed image within the context of REALISM, and without the nominalist penchant for idealization. Head shots are used for various purposes- as in an actor auditioning for a character in a film, a model looking to be booked for a go-see, and a woman aspiring to be a beauty queen.

    The MWP 2014 head shots poorly project the contestants’ facial features. The cloudy effect diminishes the essence of using the ladies’ headshots to deliver their best facial features and denies the clearest projection of each contestant’s personality that distinguishes one relative with others.

    I find it hard to make real connections with the images rendered in these obscure head shots, nor would these be fair to deliver criticisms. Most importantly, these head shots failed in best promoting the MWP 2014 pageant via various media formats and helping its targeted demographics to objectively participate in measuring-up the candidates.

    Let me interject that the above are my own impressions and may from others.

  28. Don’t tell me pati MWP cost cutting na rin at nag settle na sa Nokia camera phone tulad ng BPCI?

    Goodness, di hamak na mas ok pa ang kuha ng samsung or ng iphone ha. Sarap tirisin sa singit ang photographer!

  32. Seems like these photos were done from some random photo studio in Recto in the early 90’s. Even the most amateur of amateurs who owns a DSLR right now could have done a better job. Sigh

  34. O hindeee! Parating natin kay Madame Cory na sana ulitin. Mas maganda pa headshots ng taga Myanmar. Nakakahiya!
