Thereafter, Aurora soon married businessman/golfer Tomas “Tommy” Manotoc to whom she bore two kids: Mavis and Tomas Jr. However, the union didn’t last that long. There was even some controversy after Tommy got involved with and eventually married then Presidential daughter Imee Marcos. The intrigues lasted till the 1984 Parliamentary Elections.
Au – who is considered the first official Miss International of Bb. Pilipinas – plunged into her 2nd marriage with American businessman Bob Cleveland. It was another failed relationship by her own account. From that point, she firmly decided not to look for a 3rd husband anymore. Instead, she opted to work on several charitable causes, while raising her two offsprings. She is now a proud Grandmother (to her three grandchildren) with active affiliations in Gawad Kalinga projects and the like.

If she was sent to Miss Universe 1970,I believe that Philippines would have its first back to back victory in Miss Universe.
A true classic beauty with class. A rare gem nowadays..
Her regal walk was one of the factor that made her win. Binibinis of today must learn the Aurora Pijuan walk.
Saw her HD shots when she was young… She looked like a more beautifull Bea Santiago and Marriane Guidotti with a hint of a young Joan Collins…
Miss Aurora Pijuan, to me is one of the most beautiful winner in her prime. I had the opportunity to see her in person way back in 1980 when I was vacationing in the Philippines. I watched the Ms Young International 1980 at the Folk Arts theater where she was judge that year. The woman was very beautiful and striking in person. Those were the days when Ms Philippines were glamorous and came from well to do family. She will always be one of my top five timeless beauties of the country.
