Tennis player Anja-Vanessa Peter: setting her sights on Miss World Philippines 2014?

Anja was a WTA-ranked tennis player.

Yesterday, we featured a female equestrian joining Miss Grand Philippines 2014. Today, we have a tennis player who might just take the pageant plunge and screen for Miss World Philippines 2014, unless the age of 25 will pose a problem and push her to vie for Miss Global Philippines 2014 instead.

5’7″ Anja-Vanessa Peter – a half-Filipino half-German athlete – was born in Riyadh, KSA but raised in the Philippines. Having started playing tennis at the age of 6, she literally grew up with a racket on her right hand. She has already seen action for the country in various ITF-sanctioned tournaments, played in the Fed Cup and world-ranked by WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) as of 2007.

At the moment, she has been seen in constant gym training with the other KF beauties, and is more than ready to swap her tennis shoes for platform heels.

Will she be in tiptop shape for the beauty pageant/s the camp is planning to sign her up for? Regardless, I still bet she is in good physical form.

  5. This will sound rude but I have to be extremely honest. This camp is basically accepting anyone who is hybrid (ie half Filipina, half something) even though not all of them has what it takes- NOT BEAUTY QUEEN MATERIAL. I’m slowly getting frustrated with this camp. I hope, I sincerely hope, that the BBP winners are not being neglected because of this influx in their camp.

    • You’re right, lonewulf. It didn’t register to me right away because I have only seen a few episodes of the show.
