One of the aspirants from the overseas Filipino communities in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 is 22 year-old Chef Britt Roselyn Rekkedal who happens to be the reigning Mutya ng Nordic.
Born to a Norwegian father and a Filipina mother, she also works as a fashion/photographic model on the side. She dances and kickboxes as hobbies and enjoys expressing her views about Politics.
For her trip to Manila, Britt is also looking at the possibility of pursuing a modeling career locally. Unless, of course, Mutya ng Pilipinas gets to sign her up first as its 2014 winner, in which case she will have to fulfill the responsibilities that come with the crown.
Best of luck in the competition, Britt! 🙂
Hi Ma Norman,
Nice to visit & read your blog again..off topic lang, have you watched NORMAL HEART? it was one of the best Gay-Theme movie i’ve watched. its casts were bests of the bests. Mark Ruffalo deserves an academy best actor award for 2015 OSCARS while Matt Bomer and Julia Roberts in supporting.
It will help your gay fans around the world be aware of the so called “1981 GAY CANCER” AKA AIDS; wherein Gay org in America fights until the White House see the reality and do something.
This made me cry a lot specially when matt Bomer dying (hanep ang kanyang transformation to do the role)

I’m getting a copy soon! Thanks, neilsanty. 🙂
It’s an HBO film special based on Larry Kramer’s book of the same title. It won’t be up for the Oscars but rather the Emmy Awards for its a film made for tv. But Neil Santy is correct. It is an excellent film with an awesome cast.
