The Metro Manila screenings will happen this June 21-22.

mutya21 The Metro Manila casting call for Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 will take place at Sequoia Hotel in Mother Ignacia Ave., Quezon City, from 1:00-4:00PM. This will be the last stop before the final NCR screenings in the same venue on June 27.

For those who will become Official Candidates, Pre-Pageant activities will be scheduled from July 18-30. Coronation night has been set for August 8 at Solaire Resort & Casino, with delayed TV telecast over GMA-7 on August 10.

  3. This pageant seems to attract a lot of former BBP aspirants. I wonder which ones will join this year. Any ideas, Norman?

I’m happy that Mutya ng Pilipinas is still on the game although I can’t help but also feel nostalgic with the fact that it used to be as prestigious (or almost) as Bb.Pilipinas until it started losing international titles at stake like MIss Asia Pacific International,Miss World,Miss Globe,Miss Wonderland,Miss Intercontinental (?),Miss Charm International,Miss Expo International etc.I know it’s not easy but I really hope that the MNP President would be able to acquire franchise of other world pageants out there (never mind if it’s minor) that might just help regain their glorious years of the 80’s and 90’s.Anyway,good luck 🙂

    • Honestly, I think they (the pageant organizers) should chip off either the Miss International Philippines or Miss Supranational Philippines franchise from Stella Araneta. BBP has become far too loaded with important titles, and most of the girls elected don’t really return home successfully.
