Back in 2012, Kesiah Kathleen Liane Papasin took part in her first Miss Universe Canada nationals where she landed 4th Runner-Up to Sahar Biniaz (who was eventually replaced by Adwoa Yamoah in Las Vegas after suffering a foot injury). This year, she is back with a vengeance and wants to do better than ever. What’s more, she could be looking at making a back-to-back win for a Filipina in the pageant with the reigning winner (Riza Santos) being another full-blooded Pinay.
The Etobicoke native may have been born and raised in Ontario, but her parents made sure that the Filipino values remain intact. She can speak and understand a bit of Tagalog, but that did not prevent her from establishing good ties with the Filipino community in Canada and its varied activities.
She hopes to win Miss Universe Canada this time around and bring pride to all Pinoys worldwide. 😉
