I am now reminded of the story her Vancouver-based Uncle Larry shared a couple of days back. During their sightseeing visit to English Bay, a female TV & Broadcasting student at the British Columbia Institute of Technology approached the beautiful Maine if she is cool with appearing in a 20-second video for her school project. The former explained that she looked like a beauty queen (not knowing that she really is) and loved her smile. To make the long story short, the quick shoot took place. Nice little anecdote, huh?
Anyways, I’m happy that Maine is happy. Let’s hope she has not totally closed her doors on joining another beauty competition. After all, she still has a few good years to seriously mull about it. 😉
How do I love Maine? Let me count the ways.
I love Maine to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love Miane to the level of everyday’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love Maine freely, as men strive for Right;
I love Maine purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love Maine with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love Maine with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, — I love Maine with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! — and, if God choose,
I shall but love Maine better after death.
thanks for this post bud 😉
I WANT HER TO MAKE A BINIBINI COMEBACK!
I’ll be waiting patiently for you, Maine!
She reminds me of lani mercado talaga..
There’s greater & sweeter life after debut of their beauties after BBP.
Maine will be better queen if she’ll continue exposing herself to different culture and places.Something na paghuhugutan nya emotions when she answers on Q&A in the right time.
She’s VERY lucky that she’s already flying for international flights, ‘coz normally new cabin crews are initially stationed for domestic flights at first. She looks very happy based on the pics 🙂
she was one of my faves last year but sadly hindi siya pinalad manalo, i just like her. very pinay ang beauty. parang barbie 😀
Inspite she was not lucky at the pageant, she is a living proof that there is a life after the pageant. I hope that all beautiful ladies who were not lucky at the pageant, they should emulate Charmaine for what she did in her life. Her success story will surely inspire other ladies out there.
Hope to see Charmaine try out for BB again.
I’m forever be your number one fan Charmaine!
I’m hoping that your joining Binibini next year or 2016, so for the mean time have fun flying the “friendly skies” carrier, I’m eager to see you in one of my trips to the Philippines!!!
She’s so effortlessly beautiful! Not much make up on the first set of photos and still stunning. Nothing can replace good bone structure. She should win MS U.
She’s in a much better place . Great body ordinary beauty. I would not try again …… Unless she really really wanted to .
Just my opinion
Mr. Fabian, what was the theory of Charmaine Elima not winning a crown?
I was not reading Norman back then , five n alive, would u educate me?
Did a little research on youtube…in my observation she lost it during the interview portion of the contest. Nerves got the best of her….too bad really…
Well five n alive . I think it was more than just the interview.
Just googled her… My goodness!! What a beauty! Dark skinned filipina-hawaiian-latina looking princess in similar mosaic as Parul Shah…meaning both exhibit brown and exotic multi ethnic features YET 100% Filipina… woo hoo!
exotic filipinas rule! love her
I know that beach where she took that pic – that’s English bay, that’s at the end of denman street. Every summer I go there just to soak up the sun. that beach is also near davie street where the gay district is and stanley park
judging from the trees she went here during Winter. right now those trees are starting to blossom.
K! Ikaw na nasa Keneda! Lol
I miss her, too! Sana sali siya ulit!
I’m afraid I wasn’t into Mr. Norm’s blog last year, but I gather she was one of the favorites last year?
Good for Ms. Elima. She really defines “onwards and upwards to success!” Working for the airlines is a cool career. She gets to travel anywhere for her vacation! Fly on Charmaine!
Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2015 or 2016.. ❤
I love this girl! She was my favorite from the very beginning until after the finals night! I’m hoping that she’d comeback whenever she feels like it and ofcourse, when she’s totally ready 🙂
p.s
Tito Norms, It was nice seeing you at the press con last Wednesday 🙂

Hi!
Tt’s too bad you weren’t able to fly out. Anyways, we still have a year to watch out for our queens 🙂 and hopefully, another year to add as they reign internationally *fingers-crossed*

Likewise, Paddy! Nice to have met you! 😀
Oh Maine. My dear, beloved Maine. That sultry Asian-Latin beauty that is appreciated by all societies and cultures (lol whut). I really miss this girl. She’s still young at 22 (?). I want her to join BBP again in a couple more years. She should gain more life experience as is fit for a beauty queen.
I miss her!
Hi Benji! Hope you are doing well just like Maine. 😉
