  1. Norman, I beg to disagree with you on Amabel. I think her national costume ( just like those of Angelique and Diana) is too westernized. To represent her. Roots.
Her costume reminds of Gretchen Mol ‘s on Board walk Empire

  2. The ingenuity of Pinoy designers is a sight
to behold!! They’ve got to be seen out there
in the international scene.. Just simply
    mind-blowing.. AWESOME!!!

  3. AIZA FAELDONIA did the Best way to Represent Sultan Kudarat and South Cotabato!

  4. I’m not a fashionista, but I sometimes need to be reminded that a large part of the success of a beauty contestant is what they wear. Equally important are the folks who do their make-up and hair style of these potential Philippines-Universe queens.

Applause to the staff behind the scenes! 🙂

    • More specifically, these potential Philippines-Universe – International – Tourism – Supranatural queens. 🙂

    • Even the designer who created the costume for Anabel should get an “A” for effort!

  5. All of the national costumes of the candidates are waaaaaaay better than what Queen Ara wore in Miss universe!! I really don’t understand SMA. 😥

  6. When it comes to ingenuity, our Filipino designers could really compete with the world’s best. Most of them could really create something out of the box. Having said this, none of the creations in NatCos could really fall into outright traditional. The mere fact that they applied beadwork or intricate embroidery in the attire already made it not traditional. If ever I have to give an example of the traditional ones then I would pick Kenneth, Kimverlyn and Joy Antoinette’s costumes.

On the other hand, if we’ll strictly base it on the cut or pattern used, I’d say Aiza and Jeslyn’s NatCos both nailed it. Just saying…

  7. Kudos to all the designers. Filipino designers are truly gifted and talented. We Filipinos should be proud of their insight and ingenuity.

    • Totally agree Gloria! These beautiful costumes brought out a different side of beauty from all 40 candidates. Props to all the designers! Bravo!

  8. I’m in awe with these creations. I couldn’t help but be disappointed with what our MUP is wearing in MU.

  9. Ang ganda, ang yaman ng ating bayan na dapat ipagmalaki sa buong mundo…pesteng colombian…

  10. I salute these creations and also to the designers… Very traditional attires. Well done.

And I think these costumes were a lot better as compared on some of the natcos wore by our previous representatives abroad. Would you agree with me sexy Norman? 🙂

      • Well walang magagawa ang mga fans ng BBP kundi magtiis sa costumes na sinusuot ng ating kandidata. 🙂

Sana naman eh mag-iba na ang choice ni Madam… Dali daling mamili at marami pang sponsors panigurado.

Goodluck to Anabel… i like her transformation. Good to hear that ang iyong lungsod ay buo ang suporta sa inyong kandidata, diyan pa lang panalong panalo na sya. 🙂
