kris11 I am saying it out loud now, echoing the views of a good many. Kris Tiffany Janson’s biggest competition is herself.

While the line sounds trite and incessantly used by several other individuals who do not want to give the benefits of another person’s name shining more than his/hers, Binibini 13 is looking more and more like competing against herself in Bb. Pilipinas 2014.

People have been comparing the way she presented herself during Miss Cebu 2009 and now. And the verdict is that she should go into that regional mode in terms of styling and projection. My personal take, though, is for her to take snippets of good points from five year ago and incorporate them into her modernized version. The smile, for one, still needs to be perfected. But in general, I actually like her now. Back then, she was only 19. And the improvements are in keeping with the times.

So how do we really inject a more dynamic spin in the already-gorgeous Cebuana?

I read a tip on how to have fierce confidence. It goes something like this: “Look at yourself in a mirror without combing your hair or putting on makeup and think, “I look just fine.” Makeup is for the insecure, not for lovely girls with fierce confidence.”

While this advice is not to be followed to the letter, the more important thing to remember is to start from within, look for that inner spark that would jumpstart an outward persona that conjures excitement and tempered sensuality – something that would put in motion what she exudes well in pixels. 😉

    Isa siya sa bet ko for the MUP Crown! The only thing she needs to do is tone her body more & project a more fierce aura. Dapat palaban! I heard that she goes back to Cebu during weekends kung walang Bb. Activities and practices her pasarela. This girl is doing her homework!

    But I am confident that she will win one of the crowns 😉 I just hope that it’s between MUP or MI only.

  6. She is my MI. She fits the mold perfectly well. Kung sa MU kasi, may kulang sa kanya, yung attitude, class and elegance niya kasi pang MI talaga. Sa MU kasi, parang may dalang landi. Also, yung pagdala niya sa sarili niya na very mahinhin, pang MI to the max talaga.

    Sana manalo siya sa MI crown. For sure, malakas ang fighting chance niya at kaya niyang mag back to back.

    • Paano naging fit for mi eh, ung trend mga nabanalo laking ibang bansa, dun nag aaral…quigaman from london and santiagi sa canada c kris cebu…mag isip ka bga…c diaz bianca o laura ang mi…si kris mu na yan…baket ung ka fiercesan ba ni venus naiuwi ba ang crown? Hindi..abg nag uwi ung may personality kagaya nu krus may angking ganda at utak…

  8. She’s one of three I’m keeping my eyes on. Vessica and Bianca being the other two. There are a couple of others but for now, these three are the ones that keep pulling my attention. HOWEVER… come coronation night, let’s see who brings it on. Whoever shines that night may just surprise us all and there will be no doubt that on that night she more than deserved the crown.

Pilipinas International, i do also like krissy very pretty, kamukha ni lucy torres gomez, castilian filipina, pa trim pa ang body and for sure super fighting form na si krissy this march 30, mukhang kf yata ang maguuwi ng BPI ha?

    • Am I reading it right, Lavinia?!? Even Don Jorgé has say on BbPI winner? Well, he gotta be a good judge. He got a livin’ proof to boast. 😉

      Have you heard about Pia’s divalesque attitude?!? Character is the most important trait for me of a beauty queen. Therefore, I am officially dethroning her as BbPI. Wala siyang karapatan. She is OUT!!! 😉

      Anyway, there are still a few candidates worthier to be crowned according to their stars. What do you think?!? 😳

      • Hi Dexter . It’s hard to believe Pia would do anything like that. She sounds so grounded and she always responds to my tweets.
        It may just be a misunderstanding.
        After all , she is a woman. Women are very moody. They always have those ‘ diva’ moments.

      • Bakit? What did Pia do? Mabait na alaga si Pia, hindi si Pia iyong tsinika ni sheens di ba? she trained and fulfilled her duties with pride and passion, I’m still rallying that Pia will be one of the four titlist this year.
        With regards to Krissy, according to “the insider” that shared this to me, si krissy daw ang choice ni madam, ewan ko naman kung true, just sharing what they told me.

  11. She should be crowned as one of the queens. very feminine. Very fragile. Mukhang babae at hindi portueguese-speaking lang.

    • Yan din iniisip ko..but she’s good for a first timer. Some gusto nila mananalo kasi nga Portuguese-speaking. Facially she’s just ok naman, just okay! kanya kanya namn kasi ng idea. Lets just see ds coming March 30, baka may maCharmaine Elima or maybe may maMJ..

  13. From the beginning I’ve always considered her as one of the first-tier contenders for the crowns because no matter how she presents herself, she has “it” undeniably. As of now, I don’t feel she has to change anything but maybe “just” trimmings on the right parts of her body to give her more oomph factor. Stay confidently beautiful, Kris Tiffany!

    • I agree.. She has this sweetness in her.. She’s so gorgeous.. The more u look at her the more I fall in love.. For me, she’s only fit for MR OR MI, NOTHING LESS! Ithink she w ould fit Trump’s taste.. If not, her sweetness and classy look would definitely guarantee a back to back MI Crown..

  14. Could it be she’s overwhelmed with this year’s pageant because her Ms Cebu experience is way back almost 4-5 years ago? But she’s a member of Toastmaster’s club in Cebu so I’m expecting more from this girl knowing that she also does event hosting :\ Also, she’s a seasoned model who usually ramps for popular designers during PFW so I honestly don’t understand why she can’t at least SMIZE. Anyway I’m still waiting for her to give us back the glow and kind of smile she had during her Ms Cebu stint. It’s not yet too late Inday Kris!

  15. Another one of my fave. Undoubtedly gorgeous and with sexy curves to boot, she is screaming MUP or MIP and nothing less. My fear is that with the seemingly timid attitude, she could end up like MU Colombia 2013 Lucia Aldana who was fit, pretty, and sexy in Moscow but was a wallflower during the entire pageant because she had no stage presence and her personality lacked the spark for MU. I hope Kris can summon her inner Goddess and channel her fierce alter ego to keep me and her gazillion fans excited enough to root for her until the end. Kris you don’t have to lose your regal bearing and innate elegance in this competition but definitely you can give us an exciting show of your beauty and personality.

  17. red swimsuit…damn, ang dapat caption Jan…Ano pa ang hinihintay mo? tara na pipick-upin na natin ung crown na nasa Brazil…I think if she wins bb. Pilipinas universe cebuano would not allow her to just wear that kurtina dress or gown. She can bring cebu based world class dress and gown. Just to name a few jun Escario carry Santiago and forne one…Para siyang si Megan na the most prepared, siya ang pwede ilaban agadagad sa international stage…watch out sa kanyang mga pasabog sa coronation night…one is swimsuit in red and mind you her gown! ung q and a mapapabook ka na talaga patungong Brazil agadagad.

    • Not just Cebuanos but majority of the Pinoys would love our queens to be dressed nicely, but do remember that the winner will be under BPCI’s contract for more than a year so the winners won’t have much choice with their wardrobes.

      • Jen, for now, I can only dream of our BbP queens wearing a furne one/Cinco/Cary Santiago or even haute couture Dior/Gucci gowns 😦

      • True! Send off outfit pa lang mukhang blazer ni SMA. Not even tailored sa body ng ating mga queens. Either that or some cheap looking jersey dress na mukhang sa farmer’s nabili.

        Ang lungkot lungkot ng wardrobe ng mga queens natin.

      • Angel, in fairness naman kay Madam Colombiana e nageffort cya sa dress ni Bea(medyo bitin nga lang lol but at least di recycled!). Brand new yun kasi the dress is bought in NYC.

        Kung pwede lang eh papahiram ko ang mga damit ko para naman hindi mukhang galing Bangketa ang mga suot ng queens natin ;(

  18. I totally agree. She needs to step up her game 1 or even 2 notches higher. She’s got that sweet, lovely face. She needs to work on her body and get it toned a bit and develop that aura worthy of BBP International look (She’s one of my faves for International along with Pia & Laura). Good luck Kris 🙂

      2) Asked what her secret talent was, this beauty she crossed her eyes and made them go sideways = if you can laugh at yourself, you have fierce confidence.

    • Thank you Mr. Hunk! I am not a student of modern dance, so I don’t have a valid opinion. However, after watching her flap and wave those long arms I know one thing is for sure; if she is fortunate enough to be crowned Miss Universe – Philippines, she could fly to Brazil herself for the Miss Universe pageant. 🙂

      She is very pleasant to look at!

  22. I enjoyed Kris Tiffany’s video the most and she has since been one of my original favorites. Since then, I’ve added Yvethe, Pia and Parul. Any of these four, to me, is Miss Universe – Philippines worthy. That 5th spot is tough to fill. As of late, the upstart candidate named Vessica has caught my attention despite her blinking a thousand times in her video.

    Ms. Janson’s red swimsuit photo is off the charts! Whoa! As beautiful as she is in her purple bathing suit, it is the other three photos that really defines her appeal.

    Mr. Norm, I am not a “make-upinista” but is it a trend to put a ton of heavy black make-up on the eyes of the contestants and blacken their hair?

    Compare her two swimsuit photos. My opinion is that her red photo gives her that international – global appeal. While her purple photo gives her a high quality regional flavor. Just saying.

  26. She’s always one of my favorite girls. And it’s exactly why I give out suggestions when I find areas of opportunities in Kris.

    I have strong faith that Kris would bring home a crown. It’s something that doubters should embrace as early as now. 😉
