Here’s the girl whose callback to become a Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Official Candidate after being initially eliminated in the Top 40 was met with a lot of cheers and relief.
R-L Angel Aiza Faeldonia is only too happy to rejoin the fold. And if there was firm motivation during the screenings, she has now doubled the same. The lady from Sultan Kudarat is definitely planning to bring forth her A-game.
I now bring you her answers to our Q&A. I specifically told her to answer using the language/dialect she is most comfortable with. She used three – English, Tagalog and Hiligaynon.
“I think the only disadvantage is that a lot of people are telling me that I am in the wrong camp kasi nga po bago ito and that I cannot win a crown etc. But i would like to make it as an advantage and take it as a challenge na patunayan ang sarili ko at kakayanan ng aming team and to prove them wrong. During the screening marami po naka appreciate about our packaging, and thankful po ako to my team because they are the ones responsible for our great transformation it was combined effort between us the girls and truly dedicated people. My big thanks to them. Another advantage po is kahit maliit lang ang team, we are enjoying every moment. And we are not only trained physically but we are also guided psychologically, mentally and spiritually. And we always put God in our center. And lagi po kami sinasabihan to behave like an Angel and magpakabait just like the name of our team. Hehe.”
2. How are you preparing yourself for all the pre-pageant activities where the top favorites and hyped contenders are always given the spotlight? How do you plan to stand out?
“Lagi po kami sinasabihan na don’t compare ourselves to other candidates because we are all unique. So gusto ko na lang po mag focus sa sarili ko than to think who are being hyped. I’ve been through a lot of hardships in my life which made me stronger, determined, and ready to face any challenges in this competition so my way to stand out is just to enjoy every second of this competition and apply everything that i learned from my trainings.”
3. Do you believe that good luck (or the lack of it) plays an important role in winning a pageant?
“I still believe in luck kasi po lahat naman po kami dito ay nag hirap at nag sacrifice for this pageant. Lahat din naman po ay magaganda. But there are only 4 girls na makokoronahan. So i believe you won’t get the luck kung di mo din pinag hirapan. And like what Mr RL tells us, luck is when preparation meets opportunity.”
4. Is there any change in your disposition towards winning from the time your name was not called to the Top 40 up to that ‘fateful day-after’ when you received the good news that you are already an Official Candidate?
“I thought i was okay when my name wasn’t called sa top 40 until nung paglabas ko po ng Gloria Maris and nakita ko malulungkot ang tao for me. So di ko na po napigilang umiyak at umuwing malungkot. I’m about to move on the next day until I was advised na mag report sa BPCI office to replace a candidate. Super saya ko nung nalaman ko ang news. God is really good. And now since this is my 2nd chance, di ko po talaga sasayangin ang opportunity.”
5. Any message to all your fans and supporters from Manila all the way to Sultan Kudarat?
“Mga kababayan ko dira sa isulan sultan kudarat kag south cotabato ga pasalamat GED ko sa wala untat na pag suportA niyo sa akon isa Ged kamo sa naka hatag sang motivation sa akon.
