  1. Knowing that they are visiting a children’s hospital, I am sure that smart AHA had thought of Kermit the Frog immediately, thus, the Rainbow Connection. The rainbow of LGBT is probably just co-incindental and a great one as it may bring that kind of message.

As I was looking at Culpo’s picture at the bottom, I smiled thinking that what she emoted was more of acting than a sincere gesture. My two cents.

    • Olivia Oculpo, really deserved the title.. di siya conscious na umupo at makipag communicate sa mga bata.. pero mararamdaman mo pa rin ang pagiging queen niya… wow!

  2. Hi sir Norms. If my count is right, Our lovely bet Ara has graced three pre pageant activities out of 6 so far! Great job!The Tony awArd fashion show, Mercedez tvc and hospital visit. She missed the Yamamay show (although she was supposed to take part of it too), Chi fashion show and Spa Day! Any word if she was part of a select group if contestants who visited Russia MTv as per tweet of Olivia last night? Thanks Sir Norm

    • Even if she was not at the yamamay fashion show she was selected so technically she’s in 4 special events. The reason she didn’t make it to the show was because of conflicting schedule btwn the tony ward show.

She’s in it to win the crown for us!! Love love ara don’t forget to vote guys

  3. Two things about Ara’s dress…

    1. I don’t think any of those children are fashionistas and don’t really care. All they see is a pretty lady in a colorful dress making their day brighter. Perhaps this was Ara’s intention – thinking of the children first and not all the armchair judges and their opinions.

    2. By wearing a dress of rainbow colors, was this Ara’s subtle way of showing her support of the LGBT community?

    Just my thoughts…

    • Winner si Ara…her subtle way of showing her support to LGBT is commendable…wearing a dress of rainbow colors in that hospital encourages the children to come-out to the open as young as they are…it invites the sick to be happy and “gay” despite heir sickness. Was Ara distributing barbie dolls too to those boys? Winner na winner yon!

      • Boy benji, you really need to get a grasp on life and realize that perhaps you venting your anger/frustration this way is really only detrimental to you.

  4. Another disaster choice of outfit for Miss Philippines, I just hope that in her next appearance to an event, she will wear something that is really bring out her beauty. I think it is about time for Stella Marquez Araneta to hire a new set of fashion consultants as well as fashion designers.

  5. I also hope that this hospital will be the benefiaries of the pageant’s auction event and not just for the sake of press release and selfie pictures.

We should be after the welfare of these children because

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be

    Everybody’s searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfilled my needs
    A lonely place to be
And so I learned to depend on me

I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone’s shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I’ll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can’t take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
    Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
    Inside of me
    The greatest love of all
    Is easy to achieve
    Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be

And if, by chance, that special place
    That you’ve been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
    Find your strength in love

    • @ Basil….This time you make sense……you make our day full of love and happiness!
Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap!!!!! kung pwede lang standing ovation pa! Bravura!

    • objective: hair, kung kulot, wag pale make up dapat red lips, walang contrast kung pale lips. tapos black hair kulot, black eye make-up pa, dark ang aura.kung kulot, dapat flat straight ang hair sa upper part of the face, or minipis sa gilid, , ang kulot sa dulo lang… para di makapal buhok tingnan gaya ng ginawa nila ka Charlene. very wrong… natatakpan mukha, pumapayat mukha.

hair, kung long straight black hair (which I prefer sana) puwede pale make-up, yung black eyes..
as long as walang eye make-up sa taas ng mata, dapat wag i extend, kasi maganda na hugis ng eyes mo, kaso pag dinagdagan sa itaas ng black, nagmumukhang mature… dapat fresh diba.

gown, dapat ibagay sa make-up at hair, di maganda design ng gown dito, pero dahil maganda yung aura mo, natabunan, sana be careful sa prelims at finals sa choice of gown… advice lang to, you follow or not, my hope and trust is still strong for you.

      • ay di para dito ang comment na ito, sa isang picture na naka blue siya na katabi niya yung taga Miss U… sorry… di ko lam paano i delete… ngek!

  6. Did all the candidates visit this hospital or was it just the few featured here?

    • I saw photos of some other contestants aside from the ones on the photo above. Venezuela, Romania, Tanzania to name a few.

  7. I am so glad that Ms Universe – Olivia Culpo wears properly for the occasion. She has the sensibility not to wear “fancy borloloys” that would isolate her from showing sincere sympathy to those children. I hope that other candidates would learn from her the proper decorum. It is again a bit of disappointment despite the great opportunity that other candidates seemed so lost in what they are up to…hmmm

    • dear benji, sincere sympathy is in the heart, and not in the clothes. And I’m pretty sure the kids didn’t mind at all what any of the candidates were wearing. Except for Miss Azerbaijan who looks like she dressed up for a funeral. I mean these kids are sick, but not that sick!

  8. bud? i always have a soft spot for the children and the elderly. I wish this will be a permanent advocacy of MUO or any Org to give hope for the children that are yet to live their lives, and to give comfort for the elderly for lives they have lived.

  9. Tito Norm..that second picture with the little child with his face in his hands just made me cry. I hope MUO will keep this tradition of their candidates visiting and be more charitable to children’s needs and the less fortunate around the world. These pictures are Heart-felt!! (Y)
