Czarina Rosales: Philippine entry to Miss Asia Pacific World 2013

image The South Korea-based Miss Asia Pacific World (MAPW) competition used to hug controversies when its edition a couple of years back received backlash from some of the contestants who complained about the poor treatment they got from the organizers. But with the help of new individuals at the helm, the beauty-cum-talent search carries a renewed reputation. The tagline is “Super Talent Endeavor 2013” – much like a cross between Miss Asia-Pacific and America’s Got Talent but with no X’s involved in thumbing down a participant.

For this year, the beauty pageant being promoted as the #1 Super Talent Search in the World will start receiving its candidates in Seoul starting October 15. Finals will be on October 30 at 63 Tower City. And as Philippine representation, Czarina Rosales was appointed by local franchise holders. But who is this girl?

Czarina Rose Bautista Rosales is a professional R&B singer who once took part in ABS-CBN’s Star in a Million contest (Season 1 won by Erik Santos). While she did not win that one and was in fact eliminated much early on, a recording career – albeit struggling – followed. A duet with rap/hip-hop artist Gloc-9 (“Blues Niyang Itim“) was one of her more notable outputs. With beautiful exotic looks, good-enough height of 5’6”-ish and a radio-friendly singing voice, she could wow the judges of MAPW during the all-important talent rounds.

Let’s see if this girl has what it takes to stand out in Seoul and, hopefully, bring another crown for the country.

By the way, whoever makes it to the Top 7 will be awarded a talent management contract where work opportunities in the Asian region can be had. To top it off, plastic surgery is part of the package, if need be.

  3. This Korean-based talent pageant is in only in its third year and the first winner (Korea) resigned and her replacement (France) got dethroned in 2011. Ukraine officially replaced France for the 2011 title. The reigning MAPW (2012) is from India.

    I think Grendel Alvarado represented the Philippines last year and advanced as a semifinalist only.

    Anyhow, I hope Czarina wins the title. Best of luck!

  7. Si Czarina na lang ang ipadala sa Moscow, kaysa naman yung isa na ilang buwan ng nag-eexperimento sa final look nya e mukha pa ring hitad.

    • Basil, bakit naman ganun katindi ang galit mo kay Ara? Kung wala tayong makita o masabi na maganda, sa palagay ko wala din naman tayong karapatang manira at magkalat ng negative vibes. Maging masaya na lang tayo sa naabot ng pagsusumikap at kakayahan ng iba.

I hope they slapped themselves really hard the very moment Janine uttered the most sound answer and hit themselves again and again until their bad mouths bled after she was officially proclaimed first runner-up. LOL. 😉

  13. ang dami nang beauty pageants ek-ek, kaka-umay na ha. miss asia pacific world? meron din bang miss north atlantic world? miss pan american world? miss latin america world? miss european world? miss south east asia world? meron na ring miss grand international, baka sumunod na yung miss grand universe, miss grand supranational at miss grand world! every week may peauty pageant na lang!

  14. Czarina has expressive eyes and I like her rendition of that song, “If I didn’t love you.” If she competes with that form in long down, I will be damned if she doesn’t get noticed. I wonder if they have required her to go to a beauty training workshop just to ensure that she knows the basic. I hope she is one of the seven finalists and it would be an added bonus if she could bring home the crown.
