Miss Philippines Cindy Miranda (1st from right, standing) is looking at making it 3-for-3 for the Philippines in MTQI2013
Tonight, Miss Tourism Queen International 2013 will be elected in Xianning, China. From among the more than 40 contenders for the crown, our very own Cindy Miranda is aiming to nail the 3rd international crown to add to the 2013 collection of our Philippines reps. After Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul and Miss World 2013 Megan Young, she is determined to come out of the finals successful with (hopefully) the winner’s crown on her head and sash hanging around her body.
While the once-grand competition has now been downscaled in terms of participation, it does not give our bet an assurance of defeating all comers. There is the likelihood of another candidate or two being preferred over her. At any rate, our Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism 2013 will be giving it her best shot.
Good luck, Cindy! 😉
So Cindy Miranda ends the night with a Top10 finish at MTQI2013 which is not bad.I support our Filipina queen but I really didn’t give her much chance internationally because I find her plain. As expected, the very beautiful Miss Latvia took the crown.Congratulations,Alisa Miskovska. And Cindy,of course.☺
Alisa Miskovska of Latvia was crowned Miss Tourism Queen International 2013 at the conclusion of the pageant held on October 3rd, 2013 in Xianning, China.
The first runner-up was Miss South Africa Roxzelle Rheeder, the second runner-up was Miss China, the third runner-up was Miss Korea Na Ran Hi and the fourth runner-up was Miss Portugal Ana Bomfim.
latvia pla based sa fb..hehe china 2nd hehe
Now that Megan Young won Miss World a midst all the turmoil and crisis that’s happening,
The Philippines is now one of the fastest growing economies in Asia according to CNN..
With all the good and bad publicity, all sectors of society have their eyes on our country.
If they want to save their dying pageant, they should crown the most deserving candidate.
Cindy Miranda FTW!!!!! 🙂

Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism 2013 Cindy Miranda: Getting Ready for Miss Tourism Queen International 2013 Tonight
By ARIEL ALLERA
In the heat of our country’s winning at the recently concluded Miss World 2013 Final with Miss Philippines Megan Young besting 126 other delegates from the world over, I am waiting with bated breath for a new Miss Tourism Queen International to be crowned tonight in Xianning, China. And while Megan Young is beginning to get used to her well-commenced reign after a well-deserved victory on September 28, 2013 in Bali, Indonesia, her Aces & Queens colleague Cindy Miranda is both tense and excited as she vies for the crown, against her fellow Tourism ambassadors from 43 other countries worldwide. Now, the question is: Will Cindy Miranda bring home the bacon?
All I can say is: to dream the impossible dream won’t hurt, but to expect a consecutive win—from Miss World 2013 last Saturday night to Miss Tourism Queen International 2013 tonight—is quite a flight of fancy, considering the current Philippines-China strife over Scarborough Shoal. The last (and only) time that Philippines won the MTQI crown was in 2006, thanks to Miss Philippines-Air 2002 Justine Gabionza for the honor she brought home to our country. No pageant was held last year, which is why many Filipino pageant buffs were disillusioned because, unfortunately, for the Philippines, Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism 2012 Katrina Dimaranan would have been a fierce contender for the crown.
On September 6, the Miss Supranational 2013 crown was won by Miss Philippines Mutya Datul, the first of the four Binibining Pilipinas 2013 titleholders to represent our country overseas. But that was a feasible feat, because there’s no clash whatsoever between the Philippines and the host country, Belarus—not to mention the fact that, in every way, our very own Mutya Datul was a standout from a field of 83 international delegates.
But here, at the China-based Miss Tourism Queen International pageant, we can only hope and pray that whatever conflict which our country has developed with the host country, it won’t get in the way of our lovely delegate’s chance of bringing home the second MTQI sash. This is not to accuse China of rigging the results tonight—for I believe that, they, too, hold a strong sense of global integrity—but, wherever Cindy Miranda is going to be placed at the end of the night, may the best win. Who knows, that because there’s no live telecast of the pageant here, she might just end up galvanizing our country again with headlines on the Internet (for instance, Norman’s Blog c/o Norman Tinio, or Adventures of a Beauty Queen c/o Joyce Burton Titular), such as “PH crowned MTQI 2013″ or ” Miss Philippines is Miss Tourism Queen International 2013.”
By all means, Ariel. 😉
norms gud eve..ano na po result sa mtqi?wala akong mkita sa link eh

I HOPE THIS WILL WORK
Mas maganda siguro next time ang franchise na lang ng Miss Globe or Miss Intercontinental ang kunin ng BPCI, mas prestigious pa ang mga ito kesa Miss Tourism churva na made in China.
KNOWING THE VENUE IS CHINA AND THAT SILVER GOWN FROM BPCI…I’M NOT EXPECTING TOO MUCH!!!
GOOD LUCK CINDY!!!!
BREAK EVERYBODY’S LEG!!! lol
Oh the gown… There’s nothing wrong with it, it just doesn’t fit Cindy’s vital statistics. I guess BPCI just grabbed it from 168 and it was so unfortunate that it was the only size left. How can it look good when it is an XL? We all know that Cindy is very slim and fit. 😉
Good luck, Cindy!
the “gowns” at 168 are more decent looking, looks like they got this from Tabora instead
Or bangketa! 😛
Sarap na talaga suntukin ni Madam..im no longer pissed of her dressing our queens like that. I am now insulted…as in super asar!!!!
MAY LIVE STREAMING BA SIR NORMS? WHERE CAN WE WATCH THIS PO?
I am not sure if this one will work tonight, but here’s what I have for now:

AW SALAMAT PO..
Kung anu ano na lang sinasalihan ng mga Pinay! Nagmumukha tuloy parang kulang sa pansin! Tryjng hard is the right term. Isa pa, ano naman itong chocho pageant na to? nagsasayaw mga kandidata in an open field na nakabikini na parang mga sluts? Its not really good! Pustahan tayo kahit na ano mangyari ngayun dyan, next year sali ulet si Miss Pinay! Hahahaha
It’s called “representing.”
I know Cindy rocked china she’s a clear standout but as everyone here knows china has animosity toward our country so I’m really not expecting for cindy to win, my heart goes out to her.
Side note.. Gorgeous ara arida
I hope — read: BELIEVE — Cindy will emerge ad the winner. She is a clear standout. Despite the tacky silver gown she’ll wear tonight, I am sure Cindy will give it her all.
We didn’t like Janine’s gown at MU2012. We didn’t like Mutya’s gown at MS2013. We felt the same towards Megan’s gown at MW2013. Maybe an uneasy-to-the-eye gown is the secret recipe to winning? LOL
I don’t think Megan’s gown is that bad.. I think its very classy and fits her personality, sweet and just elegant. Its a Francis libiran creation and I think it is time that BPCI should consider getting gowns from Filipino designers like Francis Libiran , Micheal Cinco and other talented filipino designers.. JUST SAYIN’
Pambihira naman – in 2011, China had 2 reps – China North and China South. Now China has 3 reps – and no they are not Hong Kong China and Macau China and Taiwan China. As in 3 reps with China on their sash and Taiwan China.
They are bombarding the pageant with reps from China tapos lahat ng reps ng China pasok sa top 20. no one no one wants to compete in this tacky pageant anymore
Ay ganun!
Tama lang naman- with its present population of 1.3 billion, dapat talaga 3 mga reps nila para proportional…….jokes lol
sa miss world nga apat rep ng u.k. -england, wales, scotland at northern ireland. para-paraan lang yan!
At Miss World.. don’t forget the Colonies.. Hongkong, Bermuda, Gibraltar, Brittish Virgin Islands, etc..
Caroline, HK is already under China.
