KC Gonzalez Cajandig is the replacement candidate for Theresa Fenger.
After Theresa Fenger (she formally backed out instead of getting disqualified) became Maxine Medina 2.0, here comes KC Gonzalez Cajandig (she’s all set to replace Theresa) taking on the tag of Ayelee Marie Dasalla 2.0.
Beauty pageants can be a lonely place for a candidate who started out in high spirits and prematurely ended her stint on a sour note. But that’s the way the heels and colorful swimsuits get stripped in Binibini once found guilty of violating something as “relatively mundane” as posing sexy in FHM.

Anyways, here’s a brief backgrounder on the replacement:
Hailing from General Santos City, KC was scouted for Bb. Pilipinas 2013 by fashion designer Jontie Martinez who now has two ladies in official contention (the other one being #22 Ellore Punzalan).
Having spent most of her work time gliding the runway, she was able to represent the Philippines in the World Supermodel of 2009 competition held in Taiwan, ROC. In the said modeling tilt, she emerged as one of the finalists, aside from copping the Miss Photogenic award. Prior to that, she took part in Ford Models’ Supermodel of the World Philippines 2008 where she placed in the Top 3.
Okay, troops, so what are your thoughts on KC? Or better yet, do you think that she has even a Chinaman’s chance to create ripples at this stage of the pre-pageant proceedings? Hard as it may seem to accept, being a replacement is as good as being a filler for stage blocking or making sure that the number of candidates remain 50 all the way to the finals. She wasn’t selected at the onset after all, so what remains is the honor of being part of BBP2013’s Golden Year. 😉
The final update before the 50 ladies become 15 next week.
This is the final update for our Pick 15 Poll with a running total of 143,350 votes casted.
By April 1, only the 15 ladies with the highest number of votes will be further subjected to a four-way poll where readers, fans and supporters can select their specific favorites for the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 titles at stake.
And here’s an important note. Should the resigned OC Theresa Fenger (currently at #15) end up in the Final 15 by Monday, the 16th placer will automatically take her position.
The period between now and midnight of March 31 is most important because it will determine the final composition of our Top 15 for the second round of voting.
Keep them coming! 😀
Do you see something special in Bea Rose Santiago, just like Parul and Hannah?
I must admit that I’m a bit on the fence with Bea Rose Santiago. There is something about the shape of her face that puts me off at times. But in general, she has this polished style and pageant disposition that lifts her above the newbies and/or fillers in the batch. And the 22 year-old has good English communication skills as well. But that’s to be expected since she spent a good chunk of her growing-up years in Canada. The more important question is if she represents the complete package to become a Bb. Pilipinas titleholder.
I read from a recent article that she has been singled out (alongside Cassandra Naidas) by MUP2012 Janine Tugonon as one of her two noteworthy ‘gut-feel’ contenders this year. Should we be influenced by such vote of confidence from the reigning queen? Regardless, I still have reservations about placing her high on my list although she has more than decent fighting chance. And that’s the farthest I can go for now. We’ll see… 😉
…that one candidate is in danger of being disqualified. I sincerely hope not. I like Theresa Fenger.
Theresa Fenger is being rumored as this year's first disqualification. I hope not.
It may have been due to some sexy FHM photos she did as Lana Roi and also with the singing group Eurasia. Tsk tsk tsk. And I would feel even more disappointed if it had something to do with citizenship issues and the like that should’ve already been triple-checked way before the OCs were announced.
I’m still hopeful that this is just a rumor from God-knows-where and that it will be ironed out asap. Otherwise, I’d feel bad about the number of Official Candidates not matching the Gold Anniversary peg. IMO, a replacement would be late, if ever. 😦
The Class of 2013 during their Dale Carnegie training.
During the recently-conducted Dale Carnegie training on Personality Development, the Official Candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2013 were given modules that could help them improve on how to speak in public and create a lasting impression. Hopefully, everyone listened intently and learned more than a thing or two (especially the ones who need them the most).
However, there are three ladies conspicuously missing from the group photo above. While it may take a magnifying glass or a lot of eye-squinting to identify the absent trio, I would give them the thumbs down unless they come up with really good excuses…or left early. 😉

Then you need to be patient. Patience is a virtue. But I’m not as nearly virtuous as the rest. So if you’re keenly waiting for the availability of Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Coronation Night tickets for April 14, call Ticketnet
at 911-5555 or log on to www.ticketnet.com.ph
on a regular basis.
The website has all its upcoming events/concerts to be staged at Smart Araneta Coliseum, but not for this one. I’m just wondering why the dang tickets are not being offered yet online when the Big Night is less than three weeks away. I reckon it’d be best to call them up to reserve or buy direct from the booths at the venue around these days or weeks.
Anyways, here are the ticket prices (all prices in Philippine pesos)
Lower Box 2,385
Upper Box A 1,155
Upper Box B 585
General Admission 210
VIP section has the best seats supposedly, but the first few center rows may already have been cordoned off for special guests, sponsors and past winners. 😉
Hannah is another sleeper candidate (Photo credit: OPMB Worldwide)
Parul Shah is not the only fast-rising candidate in this year’s Bb. Pilipinas. Hannah Ruth Sison is another one. And this beautiful charmer from up north is waging strong against the early picks in the beauty wars. Credit goes to whoever has been styling her of late because she has been coming out lovelier and sexier in all the pageant’s ongoing activities.
Truth be told, I can’t remember the last edition when there was a see-saw battle between the favorites and the sleepers. And by the looks of it, the latter won’t be staying long as such. Hannah, a Multimedia Arts Teacher, is allegedly being eyed by the higher ups for one of the crowns. But please focus on the word ‘allegedly’ lest I get burned at the stake for issuing a fearless statement like that. If true, however, I won’t be surprised anymore. 😉
