Cindy Miranda: will the pretty face Thomasian get inspiration from Janine Tugonon?

Cindy Miranda is from Nueva Ecija, and aside from being a previous Miss Philippines-Region 1, was a 1st Runner-Up in the Miss Ideal Thomasian 2010 (representing Tourism) of UST. She has always been a campus eye candy ever since, so the decision to eventually join showbiz was a no-brainer. Her ticket to the industry came via Pinoy Big Brother where she was selected as one of the housemates in Season 4. Right now, she is busy with trainings and more trainings for a possible foray into the country’s premier beauty pageant. Will joining Bb. Pilipinas be her passport to greater fame this time around? And with the numerous beautiful Filipinas wanting to try their luck (encouraged by the three consecutive Top 5 placements of the Philippines in Miss Universe), what are her chances of standing out?

  1. Cindy Miranda is a brilliant lady. Maybe she looks like a high headed person but if you have to get to know her better? SHE’S DEFINITELY a lady that you would actually in love to be with. Insecure people used to gossip, make rumors, and threw some negatives thoughts about someone’s success. Why not just be happy and proud for others success & just keep busy building yours? Just try it for a while and maybe it will help you to appreciate every little God’s gift. Cindy is smart; she’s been a Dean’s Lister in our university back when she’s still a louisians. She was fun of night life and has a modeling career too but you will be surprised she perfects her exams. She’s very active in class. All most all the people of course will underestimate a very beautiful stunning lady with grace and modesty like Cindy that she has no guts at all, and that we cannot deny that a lot of people will say especially insecure one that a beautiful face it’s just a beauty in physic and that their questioning if that person has a BRAIN. Well we cannot control others think for what they believe ‘coz they are just blind of enviousness. Here’s a fact (some girl image, fashion & life style):
    1. Lady wearing some old fashion clothes, books with her and she’s wearing a glass – First impression, people will definitely say that she’s a GENIUS.
    2. Lady wearing boyish clothes – First impression, people will definitely say that she’s a LESBIAN or A SPORTY KIND OF GIRL.
    3. Lady wearing a cool simple clothes, not so trendy at all – First impression, people will definitely say NOTHING ‘coz almost people will probably ignore them ‘coz they are just nothing, but for the mean girls or some elites and socialites? They will probably say it’s a FASHION VICTIM. No offense but it’s true. They would say that.
    4. Lady that’s is quiet, wears trendy smart looking clothes, but not too pretty face – First impression, people will definitely say she’s SO BEAUTIFUL inside and out. Look she has a HALO now.
    5. Lady wearing sophisticated, trendy clothes and with a gorgeous face and body – First impression, people will definitely say that she’s gorgeous yes but maybe NO BRAIN. Maybe she dressed up nicely but maybe NO BRAIN. And that no doubt they will say you’re kind of a BRAT and “Maarte”.
    In this case Ms. Cindy Miranda will be in no. 5 as all most people would think. People who has nothing to do but to criticize someone they didn’t even know. I have one word for you “get to know the person first before saying some nonsense word”.
    Yes she’s a tourism graduate but don’t ever underestimate the course Tourism. Tourism is not regarded as a profession since working in this field does not require licensing and most jobs in this field do not require specific knowledge that can only be obtained through studying this course. However, studying BS in Tourism can lead to career choices which are considered professions, such as travel agent and tour guide and more. Most students find it interesting and not at all hard ‘coz they enjoyed it a lot, especially when learning about social skills, personality concept, and discovering details of places to travel. The majority of students would classify this field of study as fun especially at the later phase when they are sent to various travel destinations to learn about places first hand. The academic subjects in this course require a lot of memorization such as in the study of places, history, culture, languages and others.
    And just don’t ever say even a single bad word against the course ‘coz maybe you forgot that you are in the hospitality industry. I will just ask: Do you travel? Where do you spend your vacation? Where do you eat? Do you travel using air, land and sea transport? Where do have your leisure time? Where do you stay if you’re not at home or friends place? You can’t survive without this I am telling you. Hospitality & Tourism is booming and will never ever die. It’s a business and you can’t deny the fact that it’s in demand all over the world and it provides a great financial impact in one’s country. Like Philippines known for Educational Tourism, medical as well and of course for leisure. There’s lot of beautiful sceneries to offer. Dubai is known for business tourism; Thailand for Medical tourism and shopping tourism, so on and so forth. Tourism students are well groomed, they dressed up neatly and nicely ‘coz they are required and train to do so. Hello? Are you out of your mind? Would you like someone who’s messy not well groomed person that will assist you during your meals, during your leisure time, during you travel and so forth? If you do then good luck! Tourism students / graduates are well groomed enough with elegance, modesty, finest, and so on but it doesn’t mean they are “maarte” and “no brain” at all. They are front liner; they mingle to all types and classes of people. They are required to smile ‘coz it’s a universal language when it comes to Tourism. I can say it’s really a “Plastic job” (as per one professor) at all ‘coz you have to smile even you’ve been scolded by the guest in front of people. It’s the hardest thing to do “to smile even if you’re hurt”, & that I know maybe Miss Cindy read your negative thoughts & about her nose job? Why do you care? Is it your expense? Why not try it too? Does it bother you? Does it help you to be a good person? Does it make you popular? Does it make you a saint? Does it make you happy now? One word for you “RESPECT”, every one of us has our own dreams, goals, and things that we wanted to achieve ‘coz it’s the only way for us to be HAPPY. No one in this world will deny HAPPINESS right? And that in the other side maybe Ms. Cindy is emotionally hurt with your negative words against her but I know she still embodied a TRUE BEAUTY and she owned it. Not a small percentage of negative words against her will ruin her happiness, her dreams, her career, her dignity, and as a human. One more thing hey you, who underestimate “Tourism graduates”, try to enroll in the course and maybe you’ll find the answer and that you’ll have a GMRC in your blood and you’ll be thankful ‘coz they are serving you warm heartedly all over the places. SMILE! 

  3. She missed the top plum. During the Q & A at BBP Gold, her answers came out as being arrogant and over confident. If she will be representing us in the international pageants, I hope the Q & A will not play a significant factor in deciding the winner.

  4. She looks so different before. Her cheekbones, nose, everything. She doesn’t look like who she is now and she always wears her hair down. Among all the winners she’s the only one I’m doubtful about. Ara Arida, Mutya Datul, Pia and Bea look so natural except her… Sorry.

  9. Pangit nga talaga ugali nyan. Chaka wala namang alam talaga yan. Nakakapgtaka nga naging cum laude yan eh may bagsak yan. Tourism lang course nyan. Wala naman alam mga tourism kundi pumorma, pag Q&A na, wala na nganga na! Haha

  12. I really like her brand of beauty but everytime I see her on Wiltime Bigtime there’s something missing in her. I wonder could it be her lack of charms? She’s a stunner but something lacks about her. Many times I saw Willy being pissed for her quietness or being too reserved. I hope that she transforms into a fierce, confident and charming aspirant! Sayang kasi pang MIss U pa naman ang ganda. Parang Maricar Balagtas ang aura nya.

  14. Her beauty is not so attractive and competitive to international beauty pageant, no magnetic charms. For all the potential candidates posted, I go for Charo Ronquillo, her beauty is level to the last 4 BB. Pilipinas universe.

  15. Yes, same year sila nag compete ni Janine sa UST. Crowd favorite nun si Cindy. She even got (almost) every special award but it the end Janine won. Nevertheless, the UST community is very proud of their achievement today 🙂

  16. Honestly, I get bored whenever I see her on tv. Looks are not enough. What we need and want to see is someone who can deliver and is a true stunner. Her eyes look sad, her beauty is not that captivating.
