    • I’m sure she will represent Nueva Ecija as a whole. It would be a big bonus if she specifies Licab in particular. 🙂

  1. She really is beautiful both inside and out. I’ve been her classmate before and she really is stunning even wearing just a shirt and shorts and slippers. She is humble but she speaks her mind. I look forward to seeing her wearing the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 crown. More power to you Mr. Norman.

  2. as ive heard she is from the small town of nueva ecija a town named Licab and sya ang present Miss Licab 2012 and then she was titled as Bb. Nueva Ecija 2012..

  3. Well I am from the university she is currrently enrolled in. I believe I’ve read some questionable information with regards to her credentials. While the prestige of being a representative of the countryto the miss universe is very captivating, as a student of one of the most prestigious universities that upholds honor and excellence, we must not tell lies. A true binibini is worth the crown with certain aspects that really define who she really are 🙂

JUST BE YOURSELF GIRL. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL ENOUGH TO MEET CERTAN EXPECTATIONS 🙂

  4. Sorry to comment on this blog. I’m from the same state university she is in. I believe that what is written here with regards to her credentials is somewhat questionable. I am an avid supporter of her, don’t get me wrong but as with the motto of the university of Honor and Excellence, please lets tell the truth. A true binibini doesn’t have to tell lies. The pageant will not want to showcase obfuscating informations just to take home the crown.

    BE YOURSELF GIRL 🙂

  5. Norman — If Mercegrace wants to compete in 2013, I hope she does and isn’t dissuaded from competing just because she bears a resemblance to Janine Tugonon. Who knows, the resemblance might help her win for the Philippines its third MU crown. A good example of this would be how Kurara Chibana won MU first runner-up in ’06 and how Riyo Mori, her Japanese successor who resembled her, won the MU crown the following year. I say strike while the iron is hot.

  6. Norman — Mercegrace (if she decides to compete this year) — given her smarts, her looks and her height — is practically a near shoo-in for a major title. If not one of the BBP titles, then perhaps a shot at the Miss World Philippines title. Or she might want to wait until the dust settles (yes, Janine’s dust) to ease the pressure and compete in 2014 instead and give herself time to train, polish and refine.

  7. I agree Elroy thots. Baka magsawa muna sila sa REALLY PINAY LOOKS. What if mestiza muna.

  8. On a 2nd th0t, they picked nina,zora.. for that ‘miriam’ aura. And got nada. Must alternate instead, tisay for 2013.lol

  9. She’s oozing with sex appeal and x-factor.
But I think she should join on 2014.
Not a goo idea for the philippines to send another delegate with the resemblance of the last year’s winner.
    I like her,don’t misunderstood me.

  10. Thanks, Norman, for posting all of these lovely Bb. Pilipinas would-be candidates!

With our recent successes in the Miss Universe pageants, whoever will be crowned Miss Universe Philippines, without a doubt, have some really big stilettos to fill (courtesy of Chinese Laundry)!

I personally like the kayumanggi beauties, Mercegrace & Janicel. They fit the mold of the “pure” Filipina beauties that have been appreciated by the Miss Universe Organization.

Of course, having the exotic Malayan features does not guarantee anything; our triumphs from 2010 up until this year, may very well be attributed to 2 other things: 1) the preparations that the past 3 Miss Universe Philippines went through before their respective pageants; and 2) the willingness and drive that these ladies have to really fight it out in the international arena.

That being said, I hope that the potential candidates that you have been posting here – should they choose to participate and eventually win Miss Universe Philippines in 2013 – will not only be beautiful Filipinas, but will also WANT to go through the preparations and HAVE that WINNING mindset.

Needless to say, I’m looking forward to the 2013 Bb. Pilipinas to see who will be representing us next in Miss Universe!

Best of luck to these gorgeous Pinays!!!

  11. she is my favorite so far among the ladies you have presented so far. she’s got a fierce look on the run way – i love women who are not afraid to look “mataray”, who can look straight at the lens and with their eyes to convey a sense of self-entitlement.

    • Same with me…sharp Asiatic features siya. And from the mestiza line-up, I like Imelda.

  12. Diamond in the rough for me. Can’t wait to see more of her transformation. Oh dear! Its making its more difficult to take a pick on a bet as I’m sure Norman has more candidates for us to choose from. up his. Keep it coming Norman!

  13. Norman, Somewhat unrelated — whatever happened to Jill Orbina (of 2012 BBP batch)? I thought she’s absolutely gorgeous — shades of Riyo Mori — she has that perfect Eastern Asian face and fabulous body proportions. Not sure why she didn’t land a BBP semi spot at least. Her interview skills perhaps needed improvement? Would like to see her compete again provided she’s polished up whatever needed polishing.
