Some individuals mince no words in stating their disappointment with Carousel Productions’ decision to hold the finals of Miss Earth 2012 in a clubhouse setting. I will not argue with them had I not seen the place myself.
Versailles Alabang is no middle class ground. While the exclusive subdivision doesn’t match the old rich enclave of Ayala Alabang yet, it was developed according to strict world-class residential standards with not one but two clubhouses to service all property owners. And in the bigger of the two edifices – popularly called Versailles Palace – a transformation took place where a curved runway was constructed atop the large pool facing the building. This will add to the eye candy attraction of the structure (which – on a smaller scale – should remind most of the stage at the National Museum during Miss Earth 2006) once the program proper starts beaming live over Star World tomorrow night at 8pm.
Let’s give the organizers the benefit of the doubt first. I’m pretty confident that everything will work out fine, barring any unwelcome rainfall during the live proceedings.
Rehearsals are still in progress right now to perfect the live telecast.
Best of luck to everyone involved! 🙂
