Thailand’s National Costumes are always highly anticipated in Miss Universe every year. In fact, the country has been awarded best in this regard more than any other participating country.
For 2012, the winning sketch for Miss Thailand Universe Farida Waller is shown above. Done by a Fine Arts student from Silpakorn University, it looks like a mix of Thailand and Italy where the inside of the cape shows a design reminiscent of church steeples. I’m sure the designer and local de noriko (costume maker) will insure that it looks more dramatic in the final finish. But in paper, it still lacks the fierce gracefulness always associated with their traditional attires.
How about you, dear readers? What do you think?
