The good news is that the Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Parade of Beauties was held earlier today, despite the threat of inclement weather constantly hovering over the metropolis since yesterday.
The better news is that the Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Official Candidates donned safer outfits instead of two-piece swimwears with wrap-around skirts thinly veiling their waist down. Of course, the tacky headdresses had to stay.
The best news is that all of them looked their loveliest in black and amply-covered one-piece pseudo-dancesuits that, despite the gloomy color for an afternoon activity, added a tinge of elegance in what used to be a flesh-driven presentation of the ladies.
‘Nuff said. Enjoy the pictures courtesy of OPMB Worldwide. More to come!

I just want to make a quick blog about the winner of Miss Thailand World 2012 held at the Centara Grand World. She is Vanessa Muangkod (center in the photo above), 20 and standing 1.74m. She will represent Thailand in Miss World 2012 to be held in Ordos come August 18.
Today, at exactly 4pm, make sure that you’re at the Araneta Center or within the vicinity of the place because all 30 Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Official Candidates will be paraded around on top of sports cars (and wearing their identical swimwears) – a traditional activity of the pageant. The fleshy exposure of the ladies outside a controlled environment doesn’t always sit well with me, but I’m no party pooper so let the activity run its normal course. I just hope that the organizers will allow them to wear a wrap-around skirt (however thin) for more protection.
I’m sure fans, supporters, oglers and kibitzers alike will be around to take photos and shoot videos of the ladies. So get your digicams and videocams ready because it will definitely be a fun afternoon, barring any form of weather disturbances of course. 😉
Watch out for the individualized photos of the 30 ladies soon! 😉
Weekends are always relaxing. So let’s chill and watch the video of Miss Universe runners-up Shamcey Supsup and Venus Raj hamming it up before the camera for the uncut video of actor and fellow Mercator artist Mikael Daez.

Come April 15, Bb. Pilipinas 2012 will be hosted by some ABS-CBN talents with upcoming male heartthrob Xian Lim (of ‘My Binondo Girl’ fame) as the main man, ably assisted by Miss Universe 2010 4th Runner-Up Venus Raj and actress Iza Calzado (who herself starred in a primetime soap about beauty queens over at GMA-7) .
Like the combo? Xian Lim is definitely a looker who is both dapper and articulate, but can he carry the whole 3-hour pageant through with his relative inexperience in hosting a big event such as this? Venus, on the other hand, is a natural charmer so she can fill in some of the loose ends from up the stage. But will Iza blend well with the two? She is the one who has had previous background in anchoring the same.
I wonder what the 4th wheel – Georgina Wilson – can contribute to the three. Backstage interviews? But she wouldn’t like that. 🙂
Let’s see how the quartet can help make this year’s edition more fluid and blunder-free. 😉
I’m just in a playful mood today. I was reviewing all these images taken by OPMB Worldwide from the Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Fashion Show at the New Ali Mall, and decided to post about the same – getting a bit of inspiration from the question “How do you like your Bb. Pilipinas?”
Do you like your Binibini tall and ramp-savvy like Elaine Moll?
Do you like your Binibini exotic and with exquisite skin like Patricia Lae Ejercitado?
Do you like your Binibini fashion-conscious and well-networked like Mia Arcenas?
Do you like your Binibini ultra-shapely and ultra-competitive like Mary Jean Lastimosa?
Do you like your Binibini latina-ish and always-photo-ready like Nicole Schmitz?
Do you want your Binibini ballet-bodied and sharply-posing like Janine Tugonon?
Do you like your Binibini girl-next-door-ish and down-to-earth like Jillean Camille Orbina?
Do you like your Binibini sweet and statuesque like Gina Joy Howell?
Do you like your Binibini very young and relatively raw like Nicole Marable?
Do you like your Binibini unconventional and professionally-credentialed like Dr. Golda Mae Soller?
Ask me, and I will tell you that I like my Binibini tall, sexy, gorgeous and bright.
In short, combine the height of Elaine Kay Moll, the body of Mary Jean Lastimosa, the pretty faces of Karen Gallman & Annalie Forbes plus the flirty vibe of Nicole Schmitz and the quick-thinking mind of Janine Tugonon and we just might win a 3rd Miss Universe crown for the country.
Remember, this is just a playful – albeit wishful – subject matter. 😉
