The delegates of Singapore and Vietnam have not yet been announced, but so far, these four ladies from the Southeast Asian region are already testaments to its strong representation in Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
Who will shine the brightest among them in South America?
Malaysia is dead-set on entering the semifinals at least so they placed a safe bet on sending the statuesque Deborah, 25, who already participated in and made it to the semis of Miss World 2007. On the other hand, Indonesia is fielding half-English Nadine, 19, who is a local actress fluent in both English and French. She was a runner-up in the Miss Indonesia French Girl contest where she wore the sash of Djakarta. The land of smiles, i.e., Thailand, has the vibrant Chanyasorn (or Fah), 20, as its entry. The lovely girl from Chonburi with a good command of English is an Architecture student who should bond well with our very own Shamcey, 24, a licensed Architect who aims to match, if not surpass, Venus Raj’s performance in 2010.
Too early to tell on who will really stand out, but let’s hope all four of them make their respective marks in the pageant. 😉
