As ready as she could be, our Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago
Later in the afternoon at Balay in Araneta Center, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago was feted to her own send-off to Miss Supranational 2014. She is scheduled to depart for Krynica-Zdrój, Poland later this week. In attendance during the event were five (5) of her fellow Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens (Bb. Pilipinas-International 2014 Bianca Guidotti is still in Tokyo for the finals of Miss International 2014 scheduled tomorrow afternoon) namely Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2014 Kris Tiffany Janson, Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2014 Parul Shah, 1st Runner-Up Laura Lehmann and 2nd Runner-Up Hannah Ruth Sison. Of course, Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta and Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul – the reigning titleholder- need to be there and they graced the whole affair.

Yvethe was at her happiest and most emotional, especially with the messages given to her by the other Binibinis, Mutya Datul and her mom Nida. She knows that, just like Bianca Guidotti, her journey to the Miss Supranational 2014 crown will be challenging because of the dreamed-of back-to-back victory that is harder to earn. But being the positive person that she is, the enthusiasm and determination should help in achieving what others feel is an impossible feat.
A literal back-to-back between Mutya Datul and Yvethe Santiago. Will this be a prophetic photo?
Best of luck, dear Yvethe!
Step up to the plate. Bring it on. Do the Philippines proud. :-)

While four of the five Bb. Pilipinas 2014 titleholders are all pumped up for their pageant assignments happening one after the other, I am a bit gloomy for Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2014 Parul Shah who might end up mission-less for the remainder of her reign. With the mushrooming of so many new international beauty contests, she could easily take part in one of them and quite effortlessly bring home the crown, regardless if the title is not as popular as the rest. It’s a pity that the franchises are under different individuals. It’s even worse that BPCI is stuck with Miss Tourism Queen International which is spiralling down to anonymity.
And while we’re at it, why not include the fate of 1st Runner-up Laura Lehmann and 2nd Runner-up Hannah Ruth Sison as well? I bet these two ladies can also register victories if given the chance. But if Parul will be unfielded, their chances are even slimmer.
Your thoughts, dear readers?
Our Queens pledged their hands to save lives!
Yesterday was Global Handwashing Day. And at the Mandaluyong Elementary School, five of our Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens – MJ Lastimosa, Bianca Guidotti, Yvethe Santiago, Parul Shah and Hannah Sison
– continued their big sister roles as they demonstrated to the children how to properly wash their hands to make sure they are 100% clean so as to avoid disease-causing germs and the like. Along with Unilever Philippines and actor/endorser Jericho Rosales, they all went happily throughout the whole event.
Check out some of the pictures below. :-D

It was a fulfilling mission our Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens went through when they visited the Sta. Ana Hospital for Operation Smile.
The ladies – Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa, Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Santiago, Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2014 Parul Shah and 2nd Runner-up Hannah Sison – acted like big sisters to the kids who were scheduled to be operated on their cleft lips and palates. Prior to the surgeries, they played with the little ones and made sure that the latter bravely took on the procedure. And Parul took things one step further when she actually provided assistance in one of them.

Kudos to our Queens for having big hearts for the cause! :-D
Take note of the dates above to see your favorite Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens in hosting action!
The Queens in their latest groupies
Wanna go and enjoy Enchanted Kingdom in the company of your favorite Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens as hosts? You will definitely enjoy the fireworks display as well. Starting today (September 27
), the 2nd International Sky Wizardry Fireworks Competition will be held in the theme park for three (3) weekends. Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti will be the first to host, followed by Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2014 Kris Janson on Sunday, September 28. Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Santiago and 1st Runner-Up Laura Lehmann will take their turns on October 4 and 5, respectively. On the third weekend of October 11 and 12, Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa and Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2014 Parul Shah will be the assigned hosts.
So if you fancy spending time with them, plan a trip to Enchanted Kingdom. Bring your family and friends. It will be a real treat for everyone! :-D

There has never been a better time for our Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens to get real close and sisterly with each other than now.
One by one, they will head off to their respective pageant assignments (at least four of them) starting next month with Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Kris Tiffany Janson leaving for Jordan on October 5. After her, Bb. Pilipinas International Bianca Guidotti will head to Tokyo on October 25 – right on the same day that a Miss Intercontinental will be crowned. A few weeks later, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Yvethe Marie Santiago will get her date with destiny as she embarks on a much-awaited trip to Poland to gun for a back-to-back victory in Krynica-Zdrój. And for the pièce de résistance, Miss Universe Philippines MJ Lastimosa will be sent-off (to a still unknown destination) in an almost date-overlapping fashion for Miss Universe 2014 by mid-November as well.
In all of these, our Queens will have each other’s back as moral and emotional support. Individually, their targets are zeroed in on claiming victory abroad. As a group, their mission is united – to be the most successful Bb. Pilipinas batch of winners. :-D

The Queens clowning for the camera
When Photographer Bruce Casanova uploaded the five-in-one portrait (see above
) of our Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens, I got inspired once more to come up with this short Sunday feature on who among them will be the best ever in this batch.
Without a doubt, Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Mary Jean ‘MJ’ Lastimosa could be it if she wins our 3rd Miss Universe crown. Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago are also in the running if they achieve the rare back-to-back wins in Tokyo and Krynica-Zdrój, respectively. And not to be outdone, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2014 Kris Tiffany Janson can also pull some weight if she nails the country’s first victory in Jordan. I really wish I could say something about Parul at this point. But the lack of clarity regarding a pageant assignment leaves me no choice but to simply wish that something is in the offing for her.

In the end, I want 2014 to be the best group of Bb. Pilipinas winners ever – much better than their predecessors.
Is that too much to ask, dear readers? ;-)
