Bicol region beauties are consistent performers in Binibining Pilipinas. In the last three years alone, they have at least one titleholder in each. Just to name a recent few, I can rattle off 2010 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and 2010 Miss Universe 4th Runner-Up Venus Raj, 2011 Bb. Pilipinas International Dianne Necio and the late Melody Gersbach who was 2009 Bb. Pilipinas-International.

For 2012, another Bicolana is bent on conquering the national stage. Mutya ng Magayon 2011 Roxane Joy Jesalva is now undergoing intensive training under the tutelage of pageant experts for Bb. Pilipinas 2012. The 18 year old native of Irosin, Sorsogon stands 5’7″. Her beautiful face – framed by long shiny tresses – is reflective of the ‘Joy’ in her name. Always smiling, she has this winsome disposition coupled with a youthfulness that can be further enhanced with the right guidance in styling and projection.

Is Roxane Joy your type of beauty? Or do you find her too young to become a grand slam beauty queen? Or will she continue the winning streak of Bicolandia?

Personally, I can see a Dianne Necio in her. She could register well in her first attempt to nail a Bb. Pilipinas crown. But she can possibly be more victorious in her second try. We’ll see.
