Posing for a magazine like FHM is a curse to beautiful Filipinas aspiring to become beauty queens, but not after becoming or placing in one years after the reign. And this is exactly what these ladies bravely decided to go into when the risks were no longer high.
Bb. Pilipinas titleholders Maggie Wilson, Carlene Aguilar, Bianca Manalo, Nina Ricci Alagao, Joanne Santos, Danielle Castano and Alice Dixson. Miss Philippines Earth 2002 April Ross Perez. Bb. Pilipinas runners-up Rich Asuncion (aka Richelle Angalot) and Wendy Valdez. Miss World Philippines 2nd Princess Chloe Dauden (aka Chloe McCully). Fil-Canadian rep of Canada to Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth Riza Santos. And one-time Bb. Pilipinas Official Candidate Francine Prieto (aka Anna Marie Falcon). And let’s also add Miss Earth 2004 Priscilla Meirelles who, while Brazilian, remains Filipino by heart on top of being married to local actor John Estrada.Truth be told, I don’t have anything against beauty queen-wannabes who decided to pose for magazines like FHM prior to signing up for national pageants. For as long as their pictorials were done tastefully, go ahead. But then again, that’s just my own take. And I’m not the one running the pageant, after all.
