BPCI’s second charity activity for the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Official Candidates is Gawad Kalinga – a tougher but more fulfilling encounter for everyone. Dressed in their most rugged attires, the ladies trooped to Tanay, Rizal where they spent the whole day helping out in house-building and bonding with the locals.
While the more jaded among us would look at this pre-pageant cause as just a photo opportunity for the candidates to look concerned, there really is a deep-seated interest in most of them to share their time and be of use for such a worthy advocacy. And what’s one day of sweating under the blistering sun if the rewards – both tangible and otherwise – far outweigh what they contributed to the same.

Norman — When is the Press Presentation? This will be a watershed event — call it a parting of the waters if you will — which I’m sure will cause a lot of allegiances (including mine) to shift. Hopefully videos of this event will be made available online.
No specific date has been announced yet, but it might be scheduled first week of April. This will also be in time for the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Primer on April 7.
