Will Ali’s mentor, John dela Vega, give the green light to such a risky move? For Bb. Pilipinas to crown one of its runners-up so soon may not be the wisest outcome, coming off from the 2012 results. But stranger pageant ongoings have happened in the past, so there could be some juicy meat to the speculation. Abangan! 😉

Honestly, she lacks the required eloquence and the way she carries herself is too put on, like most of the candidates, i’m afraid. Too cheesy for my liking.

Yes and No. Firstly, the above picture just proves that even with the dismal failure in the Q@A last year, she managed still to snatch a runner-up position. She still is in the perfect form and deserving to be in this year’s batch. Though I don’t believe that SMA has the habit of reserving a title for those who placed as runner-ups in the previous years. Records show that there’s no absolute truth to this like in the case of a few repeaters who were empty-handed on the second try (paging MJ, Aby Cruz and many more)… On the other hand, if and only if she decides to make a comeback–I see no possibilities that lady luck will be on her side this time. IMHO, she may try other noteworthy pageants like Miss Earth or Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 wherein not-so-successful Bb. wannabes got the nod and finished as BIG WINNERS.

And worse — if Ali (now essentially part of the BBP inner circle) gets a crown, it would mean that a more deserving candidate gets displaced and shoved aside as a runner-up or worse. Unless of course Ali wins the Tourism title which guarantees she’ll never be able to try out a third time.
That’s the thing about BPCI’s 18-month contracts. A previous year’s runner-up who wants to try her luck somewhere else is forced to skip one full year from crossing over, unless rejoining the same is preferred.
No, I don’t think she should try again this year. Waaaaayyyy too many that would probably leave her in the dust. Maybe next year. Just my humble opinion…
She was my early BBP bet last year for any of the major crowns… then I heard her speak like a bumbling idiot. I’m now officially turned off by the girl. Sorry.
I believe she’s gone as far as she could while the young Elaine Moll is begging for a transformation. Truthfully, I was surprised she even placed at Supra.
