Will Maxine Medina be finally green-lighted for Bb. Pilipinas 2013?
Maria Mika Maxine Medina was the biggest heartbreak of Bb. Pilipinas 2012. She was already proclaimed as an Official Candidate and pinned with the number 12 (aside from completing Aces & Queens’ Dazzling Dozen in that batch). In fact, she has already joined a couple of pre-pageant activities, only to be handed the sad news that she has been disqualified due to conflicts in endorsement contracts. Mentor Jonas Gaffud was the most disappointed with the exclusion.
I’m not all too familiar if the obstacles (read: contract stipulations) to her Bb. Pilipinas participation have already been removed (or expired if you will), but the pageant somehow owes her a big favor of being given a fair shot at one of the crowns. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she gives the pageant a second try, and be free of whatever hassles this time around. 
i really hope maxine medina joins.someone told me she probably wont but im still hoping,to people who do not get her,i think u have to see her in person! esp. now! she has bloomed even more. my heart breaks really,i really am hoping
i so love maxine.. she’s really a head-turner.. i already saw her performed, and yes, sad that she got disqualified last year.. people should not base their judgements on mere photos only.. this girl, i believe, is perfect to be a queen..
with sabrinne, i also want her joining again.. she was actually my bet in 2011..=(

basing on the pics and last years pucs, i dont get the hype about this girl. she has the the wendy puyat hotung vibe. exotic, yes, but thats all.
Any repeaters joining again this year? I read in another blog that Diana Arevalo is joining again. I was hoping that Sabrinne Al Tawail from Shamcey’s batch would join again but I learned that she got married last year (with Patricia Tumulak, MJ and Queenie Rehman as bridemaids). Sayang! I think she has potential. Do you know if MJ is joining again? BTW, first time posting a comment. I’ve been an avid reader for quite some time.
I had also hoped Sabrinne would compete again — she was among the best in her batch.
I love her, shes got I all, exotic/fierce beauty,wit,body,height, a sure stand out in the international stage, I hope that she will join this year, my bb pilipinas universe 2013. Goodluck
Norman, Let’s hope that “BPCI owing her a favor” due to last year’s mishap does not translate to a backstage deal of promising her a crown. Maxine is beautiful — don’t get me wrong– but I’m expecting a competition, not a coronation. The next MU Philippines has to be an indisputable winner.
For BBP’s Golden Anniversary, I think the Madame will be so hard-up committing herself to any backstage deals. This year’s batch is going to be explosive, believe me.
Norman — Yep, it sounds like BBP’s Golden Anniversary pageant will be quite something. When will they make the final selection of their 2013 batch? In any case, the suspense is killing me. Let’s hope this year’s batch meets and even exceeds our expectations.
Final selection should take place February.
